God Level Necromancer: My Talent Multiplies All My Gains to 10000x
Chapter 70: Getting informations
In the courtyard, the ten of them had already found their rhythm. They moved in perfect synchronization, covering each other’s blind spots and attacking their enemies from every possible direction. The attackers were being completely overwhelmed, unable to keep up with their terrifying coordination.
"Don’t kill everyone. We need to know who sent them," Noah roared when he noticed the bloodlust in his cousins’ eyes. His voice cut through the chaos, reminding them that there was still a purpose behind this battle. They needed answers, not just corpses.
"Damn it! What kind of monsters are they? And which one is the Dark Lord?" The enemy leader was now completely frustrated. He had come here with sixteen powerful individuals, confident that destroying Evergreen Company would be nothing more than a simple task. Yet now, only seven of them remained.
"The one with the dagger should be the Dark Lord. His stealth can’t be detected normally, and he seems to be the leader of these ten monsters," another Force Master said through gritted teeth. Blood continued to drip from his mouth, nose, and ears as he struggled to remain standing. The realization that they had completely misjudged their opponents was slowly sinking in.
"Run! We can’t win against them!" the leader roared. Panic had finally replaced his earlier confidence. The remaining seven immediately began retreating, knowing that staying any longer would mean certain death.
"Run away? Did I say you could run?" Noah’s cold voice suddenly echoed through the courtyard. The moment the enemies heard him, they felt a chill run down their spines. They turned around and saw the murderous expressions on the faces of Noah and the others, realizing that they had already entered their killing zone.
"Don’t be too cocky, kid. You’re number one for the time being, but once the ancient families start taking the game more seriously, you’ll become nothing more than a grain of dust in front of them," the leader shouted. He and the others immediately split up, running in different directions to escape.
They pulled out their final talismans and rapidly channeled their mana into them. A powerful surge of energy erupted from the talismans, and their bodies instantly accelerated to nearly twice their previous speed. In the blink of an eye, they had already created considerable distance between themselves and the courtyard.
Noah gritted his teeth and immediately rushed after the leader. At the same time, he ordered the others to pursue the remaining enemies. However, despite their incredible speed, they still couldn’t catch up to the fleeing attackers. The enemy’s final talismans had given them an unexpected advantage.
"Kid, I’ll remember you. When we finally strike your family for good, I’ll tear that proud face of yours from existence. Dark Lord, my ass. You’re only so-so," the leader shouted while running. He still believed that Noah was the mysterious Dark Lord and mocked him as though he had already escaped their grasp.
Suddenly, something shadowy appeared directly in front of him. Before he could even register what he was looking at, a massive greatsword flashed through the air and cleaved his body in half. His expression froze in disbelief as his body collapsed to the ground.
The same scene unfolded across the battlefield. Five of the remaining six enemies were killed almost instantly, their bodies falling before they could even understand what had happened. Only one person remained alive, and that was because Kaiser had been specifically ordered to capture him rather than kill him.
Noah and everyone else at the scene stared with wide eyes. Seven monstrous shadowy figures had appeared out of nowhere, and they had eliminated the enemies in the blink of an eye. These were the same opponents that Noah and the others had struggled to catch just moments ago.
Their gazes slowly shifted toward the gate when they noticed a car stopping there. The door opened, and Sebas, Arthur, and a beautiful woman wearing a chef’s outfit stepped out. The woman looked toward the courtyard and immediately froze at the sight before her.
Anastasia’s entire body began trembling. She had never witnessed anything like this in her life. Corpses were scattered throughout the courtyard, blood stained the ground, and shattered bodies lay in various places. Standing among the carnage were seven terrifying shadow creatures that looked like the very ambassadors of death.
Unable to withstand the sight, Anastasia’s legs gave out beneath her. Just as she was about to fall, Arthur suddenly appeared beside her and caught her by the waist, preventing her from hitting the ground. His movement was so smooth and heroic that Anastasia didn’t even realize what had happened for a moment.
"Don’t be afraid. They’re not monsters. They’re my summons," Arthur said calmly, giving her the simple explanation she needed. His voice was gentle and reassuring, completely different from the terrifying atmosphere surrounding them.
Once Anastasia finally understood what was happening, her face immediately turned bright red. Arthur slowly helped her regain her balance before letting go. She lowered her head shyly, still embarrassed by what had just happened.
"Thank you, Young Master, for catching me," Anastasia said meekly. Her voice was soft, and she still couldn’t bring herself to look directly at Arthur after the embarrassing incident.
"Don’t mention it," Arthur replied with a light smile. His attention then shifted toward the half-dead man whom Kaiser had captured. The shadow general was holding the man effortlessly, as though he were nothing more than a helpless insect.
"Brother, you came right at the perfect moment," Cris said with a smile. He seemed relieved to see Arthur arrive, especially after witnessing the terrifying strength of the enemies they had just fought.
"Hmm. They killed the guards, and you didn’t even realize it," Arthur said calmly as he looked at Cris. "It’s time you learned some special defensive formations. They should protect the family while also notifying you the moment an unauthorized person enters the estate."
Cris lowered his head and looked at the ground. Shame appeared on his face as he realized how easily the enemy had infiltrated their territory. He knew Arthur was right, and he had no excuse for failing to notice the intruders.
"But all of you did well," Arthur continued, his tone becoming slightly gentler. "Go. Inform the others and clean up the battlefield. I’ll handle the rest." The group nodded before following his instructions, leaving Arthur alone with the captured enemy.
Arthur looked at the man for a moment before snapping his fingers. A strange and powerful domain instantly spread around them, completely isolating the two of them from the outside world. The atmosphere within the domain became eerily silent.
"You are now my most loyal subject," Arthur said calmly. The moment his words fell, the man’s entire existence began to change. His memories, personality, and sense of reality were rewritten in an instant, leaving behind a person who possessed absolute loyalty toward Arthur.
"You are my lord. I am your most loyal subject," the man replied immediately. His eyes were filled with genuine reverence as he bowed his head toward Arthur.
"What is your name?" Arthur asked.
"My name is Jiang Hai," the man replied without hesitation. His voice was calm and respectful, completely devoid of any resistance.
"Which Jiang family?" Arthur narrowed his eyes slightly. The name had immediately caught his attention.
"I am from the Ancient Jiang Family of Alaska," Jiang Hai answered.
"Ancient Jiang Family, huh?" Arthur’s expression instantly turned cold. He had already realized that the situation was far more complicated than he had initially expected. The appearance of an ancient family in this matter could not be a coincidence.
Arthur continued questioning Jiang Hai, asking about the location of the Jiang Family as well as several pieces of deeply guarded information. Jiang Hai answered every question without hesitation, revealing everything he knew.
However, before Arthur could extract anything further, Jiang Hai’s head suddenly swelled. A strange force erupted inside his skull, and his head popped like a balloon before Arthur could react.
Arthur’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the corpse. "The world is very peculiar. Looks like I’ll have to conduct a deeper investigation before the game merges with reality," he muttered.
"Big brother, just now, some kind of formation was activated inside his head," Cris suddenly said. "I also heard them talking about something called the Talisman of the Witches. Maybe we can learn more if we find out who these witches are."
"Witches?" Arthur muttered, his eyes narrowing. "So there are actual witches in this world without the need for the game?"
A sinister smile slowly appeared on Arthur’s face. He already knew exactly whom he needed to ask about them. After all, someone had already placed a curse on him before, and that incident had left him with a few important clues.
"Okay. We’ll investigate that later. For now, let’s go. We have more important things to do," Arthur said calmly as he looked at the others. Without wasting another moment, they prepared to leave the courtyard and move on to the next matter.
