Princess was in her car on a video call with her kids, who were busy sleeping in their cribs, while Kiara was complaining. The screen glowed softly in the dark front seat, showing the four little shapes tucked under their blankets while Kiara’s face crowded the lens.

"When you said look after them, you didn’t say until morning.... It’s Friday morning and I have school to go to." Kiara complained. She let out a loud groan, her eyes looking heavy with dark circles under them as she shifted her phone around the quiet nursery.

"Just keep looking after them. You have skipped school a lot of times, do it today," Princess said. She leaned back against her leather headrest, her voice dropping into that smooth, non-negotiable alpha tone.

"No way. I have school to go to, and I am not going to miss today, not when there is a new board of directors..."

"Kiara, I am not in the mood to argue with you, okay? You are the only one with them right now, and if they leave that house, I will fucking kill you, so just quarantine with them..." Princess threatened, her eyes flashing with a sudden sharp warning that made the speaker on the dashboard hiss.

"You just keep threatening to kill me like you’re capable of doing so..... I will stay because I want to, but I need to be paid for this. My health insurance, my sleep insurance, my mental insurance... every insurance in the book for this. I keep saying I’m not a babysitter..."

"Okay, just don’t leave them alone. We will be home soon..."

"Princess, we have to drive to a club right now, so you have to follow my lead," Beam said as she came to inform Princess where they were heading.

"Is that Beamer, why is she there...?"

Princess hung up the call without answering Kiara. She tapped the screen with a quick flick of her thumb, cutting off the girl’s protests instantly as the display went totally black.

Princess finally took a look outside. Her girlfriend was by Sasha’s car with Peamah... no Griffin parents.

"Where are the Griffins?" Princess asked, rolling her window down as Beam stood by the door.

"They are not coming with us anymore... let’s go." Beam walked back to Sasha’s car and entered along with Peamah. The large beta slammed his door shut so hard the entire frame shook, his jaw still tight with irritation.

Both Faye and Princess locked eyes for a second before Faye entered Sasha’s car. The glance was cold, filled with all the leftover heat from their argument on the highway, before Faye yanked the passenger door open and disappeared inside.

They finally stopped in front of a prestigious club. Expensive cars were parked around the parking lot. Polished sports cars and sleek black SUVs lined the concrete, their windows dark under the early morning sun. It was early morning, past 6.

The Alpha Hub.

"This is an Alpha club," Beam said as she read the sign. She squinted through the windshield at the massive neon logo glowing over the double doors.

Everyone looked at the club and now they understood why it was dangerous for Faye.

"I suggest you wait outside while we search for MG," Beam said. She turned around in her seat, her eyes locking onto Faye with a serious, flat expression.

"Obviously no. I am not going to wait and sit still. I need to find my best friend ASAP." Faye refused. She grabbed the door handle, and step out.

Peamah groaned. He leaned his head back against the headrest, letting out a long, rumbling breath that sounded like a low growl.

She moved closer to the entrance and was immediately blocked by Princess. The alpha had already moved across the space, her tall frame cutting right into Faye’s path before she could even reach the first step.

"What are you doing?" Faye asked, looking annoyed. She took a step back, her chest heaving as she glared up at her girlfriend.

"An Omega in a building full of Alphas, what do you fucking think is going to happen?..... This is not a good club for you. It’s not like our club. Some might be in rut, some might be searching for one... so wait outside and let us find MG," Princess said. She kept her arms crossed, her scent rising slightly to form a protective wall around the girl.

"Do not think I am going to listen to you this time... I’m going in."

"What is wrong with you? Why are you this stubborn? Waiting outside is a simple thing to do. Stop making it look difficult!"

Princess refused to let Faye in, and Faye had no choice but to listen to her. She bit her lip until it turned pale, stamping her sneakers against the floor before spinning on her heel. She sat in the car while the three entered the club.

Faye wasn’t happy that Princess had used authority on her. She slammed her back against the passenger seat, her hands clenching into tight fists inside her pockets as she stared at the empty steering wheel.

As Faye waited in Princess’s car, she picked up Princess’s tablet and video-called Kiara.

"What is it again, Princess?" Kiara said, her voice sounding muffled on the other end, then saw it was Faye. "Heyyy, it’s the mommy." Her expression shifted, a small smirk playing on her lips as she looked into the camera.

"I want to see my babies," Faye said. She kept her voice low, her eyes scanning the parking lot through the tinted windows.

"It’s still early in the morning."

"This is almost 7. At least Ronny or Minny should be awake," Faye said. She tapped her fingers against the edge of the tablet, her heart aching a little at the thought of the nursery.

"Well, they are not awake since they all slept late last night..."

"Why would they be sleeping late? They are supposed to be asleep by eleven..."

"IDK. Maybe because it’s their first time their mommy didn’t put them to bed."

Faye stopped talking after realizing what she meant. Her throat went completely dry, the anger in her chest suddenly melting into a heavy lump of guilt.

It was the first time Faye hadn’t put the kids to bed, so it must have been difficult for them to sleep without their mommy. They had probably stayed up waiting for her scent, crying until their little eyes were too heavy to stay open.

"Kiara, why are you trying to take Princess from me? You had her, but I am the one who has her now. Why can’t you just let it go?" Faye blurted out, the question escaping her before she could even think to stop it.

"Argh, your mind is still on that, really? Look, girl, you are right. I had her and now you do. So what is the problem? Can’t exes be friends?"

"Friends, you say? You are always trying to seduce her right in front of me every single time, telling me that you are going to take them from me..." Faye snapped, her breathing turning shallow as she stared at the girl on the screen.

"It’s called rage-baiting. You are always angry whenever I do that, and that’s fun... for me. Look, girl, if I wanted Princess Kings, I would have never let her go in the first place, but I do not love that girl. I don’t like people who I am being forced to like. She is all yours... just so you know, I am the reason why she became yours, because I don’t lose what I want..."

Faye looked up from the car and saw a man in a suit and Malo both entering a limousine.

"Malo?" she muttered. Her eyes went wide, her body freezing completely against the leather seat.

Then she cut the call. She dropped the tablet without even looking, her fingers scrambling for the door handle.

She was about to step out and run toward the car, but the limousine started driving away. The heavy tires rolled smoothly over the asphalt, the dark windows reflecting the morning sun as it accelerated toward the main gates.

Faye, who happened to be in Princess’s car, started the engine and followed the limousine without thinking of calling any backup.
