"Where is Malo?" Faye said as she held the one-eyed man’s collar. She yanked him upward, her knuckles digging deep into the fabric of his shirt as her fingers curled into tight fists. Her breathing was loud and jagged, her chest rising and falling fast as she stared right into his ugly face.

"You are too late girl. I already found him a buyer..." Butcher said, his grin as evil as he was. The corner of his mouth twitched up, completely unbothered by the grip on his shirt.

"I learned my lesson last time. I sold him the day he was brought to me..." Butcher laughed, mocking them all. The sound was dry and raspy, echoing horribly through the small space as he stared at her with his single, stupid eye.

Hearing her best friend has been trafficked by the annoying gross of a man, Faye threw him to the ground. She slammed his body down hard against the sticky floor, the impact making the glass cups on the counter rattle. She didn’t pause for even a second. Her hand flew across the table, grabbing one of the empty bottles by the neck. Without blinking, she brought it down hard, smashing it against his head. The glass shattered with a loud crack, green shards flying across the floor as a fresh line of blood started to drip down his forehead.

And she was just starting...

"Let him go," a voice said.

The gang looked toward the speaker. The click of a weapon safety being switched off cut through the room instantly. It was a boy older than them, maybe in his twenties. He was tall like Peamah and well-built, though not compared to Peamah. He stood right by the entrance of the booth, his legs spread wide to keep his balance steady.

His name was Kraven Butcher.

He was pointing a gun at Faye and the rest. The metal barrel was completely steady, aimed directly at Faye’s chest.

"Let my father go. Don’t think I won’t pull this trigger... and this is no ordinary bullet. This is silver, real silver," he said. His voice was cold, his thumb resting firmly on the hammer of the gun.

Bambi moved to his side. She limped over quickly, holding her dislocated shoulders stiffly against her ribs as she took her place right behind the older boy.

"Butcher, stand up and let’s go," the boy said, keeping his eyes locked onto the unwanted girls in front of him.

"He is not going anywhere unless he tells me where Malo is!" Faye said. She didn’t back down an inch, she didn’t care about what was going to happen...

"Kraven, shoot them all. Kill those three rascals," Mrs. Griffin said, suddenly gaining confidence now that Butcher’s henchman was around. She wiped her bloody mouth with her hand, pointing a shaking finger at Faye, Beam, and Peamah. She thought the three were finished. A nasty smile broke across her swollen face, believing the silver bullet was enough to solve all their problems.

"No, you can kill the two, but the Omega is valuable," Butcher said as he remained on the floor. He spat a mouthful of red onto the carpet, his hand reaching up to touch his forehead as he glared up at Faye.

Faye signaled Peamah, who picked Butcher up. With a quick nod of her head, the giant boy stepped forward, his massive hands reaching down to haul the older man off the floor by his jacket like he weighed absolutely nothing.

"If you want him alive, let’s exchange Malo for your father. No one dies, and we go our separate ways. Just tell us who he gave Malo to," Faye said. She took a step closer to Peamah, using his large frame as a shield while she looked straight at Kraven’s gun.

"You don’t have a say here, lady. I have the gun. You do what I tell you to. Give him to me, and then we go our separate ways," Kraven said, his finger ready to pull the trigger.

"You know that can’t kill us, right?" Beam said as she took a step closer. Her face was totally expressionless.

"A bullet to the heart is fatal. If you move another step, I’m going to fucking blow you away," Kraven said. His chest was heaving now, his eyes darting quickly between Beam and Peamah as the tension stretched thin.

"Wait, wait... I will tell you where Malo is. No one should spill any blood here. I will give you the information and you can go get him," Butcher suddenly announced. He waved his hand frantically from inside Peamah’s grip, his face pale as he looked at the shattered glass around his feet.

"What are you talking about, Butcher?" Mrs Griffin said. She blinked in confusion, her jaw dropping as she looked at the man who had been so stubborn just a minute ago.

"Don’t worry, sister. If they have the money to buy him back, then it’s no problem. You go to the place, pick him up, and buy the boy," Butcher said. He let out a weak chuckle, coughing slightly against the pressure on his collar.

This was confusing for the Griffins. Why did Butcher so easily agree to give up Malo when he had the upper hand? They looked at each other, their minds completely failing to understand why the man was backing down while his foster son held a loaded gun.

Butcher gave Faye Malo’s location. He had sold Malo for fifty thousand, so he told them to give the owner one hundred thousand. But he warned Faye that going into that building was dangerous for her kind. He looked at her with a sick smile, his single eye glinting in the dark.

Faye and the gang left Butcher and his people alone. They dropped the man back onto the seat, turning around and walking right past Kraven without another word. They even left Mr. and Mrs. Griffin behind.

Unknown to them, Butcher had plans of his own. He wiped the blood from his eye socket, pulling himself up onto the bench with a heavy groan as the door swung shut behind. He turned his head toward his children.

He instructed Bambi and Kraven to get ready for tonight.

Butcher had his eyes on the Omega.

He still wanted to sell her. He knew exactly how much an omega like Faye could bring from the underground buyers, and he wasn’t about to let that fortune walk away so easily.
