From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals
Chapter 958 - 958: Jade Resets His Shoulder By Hand
The first cradle bolt lifted while Jade still had both hands around Ty's shoulder.
Gray dust spilled from the washer. Holl caught the brake with his shortened fingers and leaned his weight away from the wall before the bolt could leave the kitchen with Ty's arm.
"That fitting gives us six pulls before the pipe joins him."
Ty's handless wrist struck the padded slats again. Two knocks passed through the wall. The restrained hand beyond lower service answered once, then dragged against leather.
Nessa kept the recovered field finger aimed at the panel.
"The carrier moved lower after that answer, but the bearing stayed inside this wall."
Jade pressed Ty's shoulder socket against her thigh. The arm had twisted far enough that the upper bone entered at the wrong angle whenever Holl let the cradle shift.
"We lose the bolt before I can pull his whole arm against its direction."
Holl took a short stake from beneath the cradle. Its pale shaft reached from his wrist to elbow. Two iron rings surrounded the head, and the point had been flattened by repeated use in slotted floors.
"This teaching stake gives one unloaded limb the down the roadback carries now. It holds no room and forgives no weight."
Dellin cleared the broken bowl groove beside Solla's meal bar. Holl set the stake point into the empty slot and tapped it with the heel of his leather guard.
The shaft turned toward the kitchen ceiling.
"Wrist end learns first, then elbow, upper arm, and shoulder. Reverse that order and old down enters the chest."
Jade looked at Ty's open socket.
"Your chest already contains enough borrowed directions to start charging rent."
"I was hoping the roadback accepted late payment and poor judgment."
Solla moved Dey and the meal rack through the pantry hatch. She left Ty's loose rib locked beneath the bowl bar with the broken cup number written beside it.
"Reset him after my food clears, because west brace gets breakfast before another wall does."
The forty one bowls left the kitchen. Solla stayed behind with one hand on the pantry release, watching Dellin's evidence tin and her child through the gap.
Holl opened the lowest cradle strap.
The wrist end drove toward the wall pipe. Jade caught the forearm above it while Holl placed a cloth loop around the teaching stake.
"Ty, tell me where you feel my thumb before I move anything."
"Against the wall below my elbow, close to the pipe."
Her thumb rested on the upper arm beside the open shoulder.
Jade tightened her knees around his ribs and pulled the forearm away from the wall. Holl drew the cloth loop toward the teaching stake. The wrist end crossed one inch of open space and fell toward the kitchen ceiling.
Ty's skull turned toward the wall.
"Your hand moved down the pipe and took the elbow with it."
"My hand is on your shoulder, and the wrist just reached the ceiling."
The arm lay where Holl's stake directed it. Ty still watched the empty patch on the wall.
A trace of green pressure remained there, shaped like the forearm that had already moved. It pulled from Ty's chest in a narrow strand and entered the bone after his next jaw movement.
His skull corrected toward the ceiling.
"The wrist arrived before I could feel it."
Jade kept her thumb in place.
"Your bone changed direction, and whatever lets you feel it followed late."
Dellin crouched outside her reach and checked the second wall bolt.
"Finish the elbow before naming what follows him. The cradle still carries half the old pull."
Holl opened the next strap. Jade rotated the elbow around the cloth loop while Ty kept his right hand spread against the ceiling rail. The arm resisted through the first quarter and then dropped hard enough to strike her knee.
Pain crossed her damaged eye. The deathward offered the restrained hand beyond the panel and nothing useful about Ty's living soul.
"Call the joint you feel now, and leave the prisoner to Nessa's finger."
"My elbow remains against the wall, and your knee is pressing the wrist."
Jade's knee held the elbow. The wrist lay beyond it near Holl's teaching stake.
"Your awareness is still waiting at the old elbow."
Ty's right hand tightened on the rail. His green pressure left the old elbow position, crossed Jade's shin, and caught up with the bone beneath her knee.
The restrained hand knocked twice through the panel.
Ty's arm pulled back toward it.
Holl reached for the brake. Jade held the elbow against the teaching line before the cradle could reload.
"The prisoner stays found through Nessa. Your arm comes back to you."
"Keep the bearing if the field finger starts lying."
Nessa pressed her left thumb over the plated joint.
"I gave this finger Rillhold's direction and lost West Four's. It will carry one useful mistake without your shoulder helping."
Todd removed the copper Cross Link section from his belt and laid its flat edge against the service panel. The wooden half stayed under Nessa's shoulder. Copper pulled toward the two knocks while the wood held the kitchen ceiling.
He rubbed flour from Solla's evidence tin across the panel, then drew one line along the field finger and another along Ty's arm. The marks crossed over the bolt hiding lower service.
"The carrier may move after we reset him, but these lines preserve where both pulls agreed."
Nessa shifted the plated fingertip away from Ty. It kept the flour line and drew her wrist toward the panel without borrowing his shoulder.
"I have the bearing, and Todd has the wall number. Bring your arm back before it chooses the prisoner over you."
Ty released the pull toward the wall.
Jade moved the upper arm next. She held it below the socket and rolled until its weight settled toward the teaching stake. The green strand lagged behind, still tied to the cradle slat for two breaths before entering the bone.
The arm became heavy against her palms.
Ty spoke after the pressure reached him.
"Both of your hands are on the upper arm now."
"One hand is on the arm. My cold one is holding your sternum because it keeps arriving after the work."
He looked down. Her right fingers closed against his chest in their delayed order.
"We brought matching problems into a kitchen and still saved no breakfast for ourselves."
"Your rib has a bowl number, so dinner may be easier to negotiate."
Holl cleared the shoulder strap. Jade lifted Ty's upper arm with her living hand and guided the rounded end toward the socket. Her cold hand stayed on his sternum, keeping the green pressure from wandering into the chain.
The delayed fingers closed too late and slid from his breastbone. Jade's weight followed. Ty looped one rib around her belt before her damaged eye struck the shoulder she was trying to seat.
"Keep the rib there until my right hand catches up with me."
"You can keep the rib after somebody removes its bowl number."
Her right thumb finally closed against his sternum. Jade planted the wrist there and took the upper arm with both forearms, using the cold hand as a brace rather than trusting its grip.
The bone met the socket and slipped past it.
She lowered it, turned the elbow toward the teaching stake, and tried again. Ty's ribs tightened around her waist when the old wall direction pulled through him.
"Loosen the right side before you drag both of us into the flour tin."
"My soul thinks the shoulder remains three inches to your left."
"Then let it be wrong while I seat the bone that is actually here."
Jade pushed the upper end into the socket. Holl pulled the teaching loop. The joint entered with a hard turn that drove Ty's ribs against her hip.
She held it there until the green strand left the wall, crossed the cradle, and wound into his shoulder.
Ty lifted the handless arm toward the ceiling rail. Elbow and wrist followed the same down. The socket stayed together.
Jade made him lower the arm to her knee, raise it to the pantry latch, and turn the wrist end toward Holl's open cradle. The first two movements arrived together. The turn lagged at the elbow, then completed without pulling a wall bolt.
Holl kept one hand on the brake while he checked each strap for fresh load. Every line hung loose.
Jade moved her living hand from shoulder to elbow and back again.
"Tell me where I am touching you without watching."
"Shoulder first, elbow second, and shoulder again after you returned."
The answer arrived with each contact. His soul had caught up while every bone held one direction.
Holl removed the cloth loop but left the cradle open around the arm.
"The reset holds until another direction takes weight through that shoulder."
Below the kitchen, a livestock bell struck three times.
Goats hammered their stall rails on the deck beneath them. Dellin's six direction tags turned toward the pantry before the roadback moved.
Ty's newly seated arm pulled Jade toward the same wall it had just left.
