Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Advancement

Qiao Suluo stared at Chu Moyuan’s flawlessly sculpted face, completely dazed.

He was leaning in close. His cold, striking features were accentuated by deep, unfathomable eyes that seemed to conceal dark, swirling abysses, exuding an imperceptible aura of noble mystery.

His facial contours were sharp and almost ascetic, radiating an overwhelmingly powerful presence. Being this close, his superior bone structure was undeniable, leaving a breathtaking impression.

Chu Moyuan’s thin lips parted slightly. Looking at the completely undressed figure in his arms, his eyes darkened.

In just a short span of time, she had slimmed down so drastically—it truly took him by surprise. Yet, he also had to admit that she was extraordinarily beautiful right now.

Her eyes were expressive and lively, complemented by her porcelain skin and delicate bone structure. With hair like dark silk, her face was peerlessly elegant. Her slender, supple figure made her look as fragile and exquisite as a delicate blossom. A crimson blush tinted her cheeks, giving her a captivating look of overwhelming shyness.

Chu Moyuan’s breath hitched. "Didn’t you promise to wait for me tonight, wife?" he asked hoarsely.

As he spoke, he tightened his grip, pulling her even closer.

Qiao Suluo blinked. "But aren’t you injured?"

Chu Moyuan raised an eyebrow, his gaze growing even deeper and darker. "Are you doubting my capabilities, wife?" He took her hand and gently caressed it.

"N-No," Qiao Suluo quickly replied, pulling her hand back. She knew better than to voice any doubts about him at a moment like this.

She could feel the immense strength radiating from his arms, as if he intended to lock her tightly against his chest. She couldn’t break free.

However, her squirming and struggling made Chu Moyuan draw a sharp breath. "Be good. Stop moving for a second."

Hearing the tone of his voice, Qiao Suluo realized what was happening and immediately froze. "Then let go of me first," she said. "I’m completely soaked." She was dripping wet and had already soaked through his clothes.

"Let me help you." Chu Moyuan picked her up and gently wiped her dry.

He was incredibly patient.

Qiao Suluo never expected him to take care of her so meticulously. Even when wiping away the water droplets, his movements were exceptionally tender. He even tended to her hair.

She simply leaned against his chest, quietly enjoying his care. "Chu Moyuan, have you ever taken care of anyone else before?" she asked.

He paused for a moment before answering, "No."

"You look pretty experienced at it."

Chu Moyuan explained, "I told you before. After my coming-of-age ceremony, I took some courses, and this was included."

Back then, it was purely theoretical. Only now, when actually taking care of a female, did he realize just how delicate she was. He instinctively lightened his touch, afraid of hurting her or bruising her skin.

After drying her body and hair, he carefully combed through her locks. "Is this alright?"

Qiao Suluo nodded. "Yes, this is fine. Let me put on some clothes."

Upon hearing that, Chu Moyuan carried her straight to the bed. He leaned over, trapping her between his body and the mattress. "This is fine. Saves us the trouble."

Her face flushed an even deeper shade of red.

Chu Moyuan gently caressed her face. He found her curvy figure and snow-white skin absolutely enchanting. Her watery eyes seemed to hold endless tenderness, making her so intoxicatingly beautiful.

As he gazed at her, the dark desire in his eyes intensified. He lowered his head, pressing his lips against her forehead before slowly trailing down to the corner of her mouth. His pupils were dark and profound, his breath hot and thoroughly beguiling.

Qiao Suluo’s entire face rapidly turned the color of rouge. She became as sensitive as a mimosa plant, her strength gradually sapping away.

When he pulled her completely into his world, she trembled violently.

"Chu... Chu Moyuan..." she softly called out his name.

Hearing her sweet, delicate voice made his heart feel as if it were exploding. He realized that she was the only one who could make him feel so unlike himself, stripping away all his calm and rationality.

Later that night, rain began to fall outside. Qiao Suluo slept soundly, nestled in Chu Moyuan’s embrace.

Chu Moyuan held her tightly. Looking down at her peaceful sleeping face, he gently tucked the blanket around her. He didn’t feel the slightest bit sleepy.

Holding his beloved in his arms, his once cold and lonely heart swelled to the brim with love. He murmured softly, kissing her forehead with a satisfied sigh. "Wife, you are mine, and I am yours."

Early the next morning, as soon as Qiao Suluo woke up, the System announced excitedly, "Congratulations, Host! Your Healing Ability has upgraded into the Wood Element Ability. The Wood Element Ability is rich in powerful life force and can restore all living things.

"The Wood Element Ability can be strengthened through cultivation. Once its level increases, it can be used for both combat and healing."

"Wood Element Ability?" Qiao Suluo mused.

She twitched her fingers, and a green light materialized in the palm of her hand. This green glow radiated a vigorous life force that she could keenly feel. She hadn’t expected to receive such a reward after forming a Contract with Chu Moyuan. She was thrilled.

This meant she could also use the Wood Element Ability in battle from now on.

However, catching sight of the marks on her neck and recalling Chu Moyuan’s frenzy from the previous night, she was forced to wear a high-collared shirt to cover them up. While brushing her hair, she purposefully left a few strands loose to further obscure her neck.

Que Hongjin and Bai Qianluo naturally understood what had happened the night before. Even though they were mentally prepared for it, they still felt a twinge of bitterness.

It was especially evident during breakfast, as Chu Moyuan kept putting food into Qiao Suluo’s bowl. The overflowing, tender affection in his eyes was too obvious to ignore.

What shocked and amazed the two men the most was that their wife had suddenly slimmed down. She had become exceptionally radiant and beautiful, making it hard for them to tear their eyes away. Que Hongjin even recalled how he had barely recognized her when he first saw her that morning.

Qiao Suluo blinked. "Don’t just stare at me. Eat your food."

Que Hongjin smiled gracefully. "Wife, you’re so thin now. You are the one who should eat more and gain some weight."

They really wouldn’t feel comfortable letting her walk out on the streets looking like this.

Bai Qianluo also continuously served her food, surprisingly hoping that she would get fat again.

Qiao Suluo said, "I think it’s fine like this. It wouldn’t look good if I got fat."

Que Hongjin’s expression remained as gentle and mild as ever. "Nonsense. You look beautiful no matter what, wife."

"Yes, it’s better to be a bit plumper," Bai Qianluo added elegantly.

She was simply too breathtaking and radiant as she was—a peerless beauty. They were genuinely worried that she would attract swarms of admirers if she went out. Those Beastmen in Capital City all claimed she was fat and ugly. Little did they know that she now had a flawless figure and was as ethereally beautiful as a fairy.

Feeling the immense pressure, Qiao Suluo quickly finished her meal. She then planned to accompany Que Hongjin to Nanlu Academy to ask about the enrollment process.

Since they had been assassinated the night before, and Qiao Suluo had now regained her beauty, Chu Moyuan and Bai Qianluo were both uneasy about her going out. They intended to accompany them.

"Don’t rush," Qiao Suluo said. "Let me heal your bodies first."

Having absorbed numerous medicinal herbs last night, her Healing Ability had leveled up and evolved into the Wood Element Ability. She was now fully capable of completely restoring Que Hongjin and the others to perfect health.
