Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2741: Tomorrow Will Be Another Beautiful Day

  • Next Chapter

Jasmine Yale quite agreed, but seeing Little Clementine pouting like this, she wondered who taught her to be so jealous.

Little Clementine’s small hand tightly clutched Jasmine Yale’s clothes, pouting fearfully, worried that Jasmine would go and hug Little one.

Her cute expression made Jasmine Yale laugh.

The autumn night was breezy, rustling the leaves at the tree tops; on such a night, the moonlight was beautiful, and the stars tightly woven.

After playing for a while, Jasmine Yale carried Little Clementine home.

On the way, she picked a little flower for Little Clementine, making her happy again.

"When you get a bit older, I’ll teach you to pick fruit and take you to the river to catch fish, alright?" Jasmine Yale coaxed the little one with a smile.

These were things she liked to do as a child, though she wasn’t sure if Little Clementine would like them, but most kids like to play, she was sure she would.

Under the moonlight, Jasmine Yale would sometimes look at the road at the village entrance.

It was a winding road with no end in sight, particularly under the night’s veil, nothing could be seen.

Little Clementine held the yellow little flower, sometimes sniffing it, sometimes rubbing it, with yellow pollen staining her face and hands.

In the village, there’s little entertainment at night, after dinner, everyone sleeps.

Jasmine Yale wasn’t quite used to sleeping early, so after returning home, she sat by the window to write her diary.

"The first day in Green Peak Village felt good. There’s no longer old calculations and scheming, it’s a long-lost purity. Because I’m not someone who likes to plot, this place should suit me better. Little Clementine is also happy, curious about everything; there are things here you can’t see in Cakago. The villagers take great care of me, and I think I can repay them by teaching the children at the orphanage well. If possible, I hope to help them connect with some charities in the future."

Jasmine Yale wrote word by word in her diary.

Outside the window were shadows of trees and moonlight, the little yard full of tranquility and serenity.

Occasionally, she would chew the tip of her pen and look out the window.

Such a big yard, when spring comes she could plant some flowers and greenery.

By then, the garden would be in full bloom, surely beautiful.

Jasmine Yale finally began to have a little hope for the future.

When working at ZR, she actually had a lot of hope for the future, even when Will Caddel asked if she wanted to go with him, she was resolute.

It’s just, disappointment came unexpectedly.

In the moonlight, Jasmine Yale let out a sigh.

Old friends were already old friends, nothing much to think about.

Indeed, she had already distanced herself from the world, distanced herself from UT.

The village night was quiet, except for the sound of insects; it was a long-lost peace, making her feel like she was back in her childhood.

After finishing her diary, she drew the curtains.

Tomorrow would be another beautiful day.

...

A week later.

Jasmine Yale had already adapted to country life.

Teaching during the day, playing with Little Clementine at night, time seemed to pass slowly.

She thought Little Clementine might fuss without the small trains or rocking horses, but surprisingly, the little girl preferred playing with other kids and didn’t cause any trouble.

The children at the orphanage liked Little Clementine and would give her the fruits they picked.

However, Little Clementine liked that Little one more; even though Little one ignored her, she liked teasing him, holding his little hand, and even feeding him milk.

Sometimes after classes ended, Jasmine Yale would sit in the office grading papers, feeling particularly content watching the children chase each other in the sunlight.
