Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2724: The Delivery Room Door Remains Closed
Kieran Janus couldn’t understand the obstetrics paperwork; he picked up a pen and signed.
"President Janus, it’s like this, Miss Janus isn’t in the mindset to have a child; she refuses to exert any effort after entering the delivery room. Natural birth is difficult. If necessary, to ensure the safety of mother and daughter, we’ll proceed with a C-section."
"Cut what! If that child dies, then let it die. Why bother with a C-section?!" Kieran Janus retorted angrily.
"President Janus, I’m sorry, but we can’t do anything against the law. We’ll try our best to save both the child and the mother."
"Get out, get out!" Kieran Janus erupted!
He and Erin Janus didn’t want that child!
An unknown child’s existence served to constantly remind the Janus Family of their foolishness; she was a disgrace!
Previously anticipated with high hopes, now deeply loathed, Kieran Janus’s face was marked with contempt and dislike.
The doctor didn’t say any more and returned to the delivery room, shutting the door.
Kieran Janus paced back and forth outside.
It’s been almost an hour since she went in, has the baby not been born yet?
Taking advantage of the time, Kieran Janus called back to the company, urgently instructing them to check accounts, projects, and loopholes!
Time slowly passed.
Kieran Janus’s phone kept ringing without stopping; the incoming news hurt him more each time. Sylvan Cheney was mostly correct; many bills had been tampered with, no wonder the bank was like a specter urging debts!
Kieran Janus felt a profound sense of decline; leaning against the wall, fists clenched, he wanted to tear Sylvan Cheney to pieces.
A fire burned within his chest, but he couldn’t do anything to Sylvan Cheney.
Sylvan Cheney had already prepared to surrender, meaning he had paid the price for his actions; there was nothing more he could do.
At this moment, Kieran Janus truly wanted to rush over and beat Sylvan Cheney, tear him apart.
The delivery room door remained closed.
Kieran Janus was anxious outside; he wasn’t even sure how to explain things to Erin Janus’s mom, to old James, whether to tell them the truth or hide it.
He was on the brink of collapse; why did this happen, had he brought a wolf into the fold?
In the middle of it all, Kieran Janus received several urgent calls from the company.
He had no choice; he couldn’t stay with Erin Janus any longer, so he briefly instructed the nurse and hurriedly drove back to the company.
As he left, Sylvan Cheney saw him from inside his car.
Sylvan Cheney glanced at his wristwatch; it was precisely half-past midnight.
The sky was pitch black, the air oppressive and congested.
Half an hour later, his man came and knocked on the car door: "President, President, Miss Janus has given birth."
"Oh?" His eyes flickered, "I’ll go have a look."
"Okay."
Sylvan Cheney seemed intrigued.
Most of his bodyguards were Americans, though there were a few of different races; even that night, he didn’t know who had entered Erin Janus’s room.
He gave the orders, they followed; not a word was spoken by any of them.
Sylvan Cheney stepped out of the car again.
The rain had slightly eased; he held up an umbrella, heading towards the villa’s delivery room.
The scenery here was indeed wonderful; to give birth here, Erin Janus was incredibly lucky. Throughout the pregnancy, she hadn’t suffered much.
Upon learning of Erin Janus’s pregnancy, he had tentatively suggested getting rid of the child.
Always self-assured and seeking freedom, Erin Janus had resolutely stated at that time, no, no, she wanted to keep it.
He had only asked tentatively.
He knew all too well what Erin Janus was plotting.
