Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

Chapter 204: Lucy May January Del Rosario

It was around midnight when April reached over and tapped her sleeping wife awake.

Angel had been fast asleep beside her, enjoying the quiet night after spending the entire day looking after her heavily pregnant wife. Neither of them had any reason to expect that their night was about to take such a sudden turn.

"What is it, Bebe?" Angel muttered, her voice thick with sleep.

"Papi, my water just broke..." April said.

Angel’s eyes flew open.

For a moment, she stared at her wife, trying to process what she had just heard. April was sitting upright on the bed, one hand resting on her tummy while the other gripped the bedsheet. The sight was enough to chase away the last traces of sleep.

"Are, are you okay?" Angel asked, quickly moving closer to check on her.

"No, I don’t know..."

Her answer made Angel’s heart pound harder. She had spent months preparing for their daughter’s arrival, making sure April had everything she needed, but now that the moment had finally come, she found herself struggling to keep her nerves under control.

Their baby was coming.

Angel took a deep breath and focused on what needed to be done. April needed her, and the last thing she wanted was to let her own fear make the situation more frightening.

She carefully helped her wife out of bed before lifting her into her arms. April leaned against her as they made their way towards the living room, where Angel helped her settle beside the couch.

They had planned to have a home birth, and Angel had spent the previous week ensuring everything was ready. The birth pool and necessary supplies had been prepared well in advance, and she had checked everything more than once to make sure April would be comfortable when the time came.

Although they had not expected labour to begin in the middle of the night, at least they were not completely unprepared.

April leaned against the couch, one hand supporting her tummy as she tried to find a comfortable position. Angel stayed close, reluctant to leave her side, but she knew she needed to make the necessary calls.

She quickly reached for her phone and dialed Grandma Lucinda first, followed by the midwife. Her fingers moved faster than usual, and she kept glancing at April between calls, hoping they would arrive as soon as possible.

Just as she finished contacting them, April suddenly cried out.

Angel immediately turned towards her.

The Omega was gripping the couch, her face tightening as another wave of pain washed over her. Her breathing became uneven, and she struggled to remain still as the contraction grew stronger.

"What is it...?" Angel asked, hurrying to her side.

She placed her hands around April’s waist, trying to support her while searching her face for some sign of what she could do to help. She wanted to take the pain away, but all she could do was stay close and offer whatever comfort she could.

"It hurts..."

Angel’s heart ached at the sound of her wife’s voice. She held April close, rubbing her waist and paying attention to every change in her expression. Although she was frightened herself, she did her best to remain calm for the Omega’s sake.

Seeing the person she loved most in the world struggling like this was one of the hardest things she had ever experienced, but she refused to let April face it without her.

The midwife arrived at the same time as Grandma Paula and Grandma Lucinda. As soon as they stepped inside, everyone got to work preparing for the delivery.

Angel remained beside April while the midwife checked her dilation. She watched anxiously, waiting to hear how things were progressing. She had spent months looking forward to meeting their daughter, yet witnessing her wife’s labour made her realise that nothing could have fully prepared her for this moment.

Meanwhile, Paula began filling the birth pool with warm water, ensuring everything was ready for April to use. Grandma Lucinda helped with the remaining preparations before setting up the camera for the birth vlog, just as the couple had requested. They wanted to record their daughter’s arrival and watch the video together once everything was over, giving them a special memory to look back on as their family grew.

Following the midwife’s instructions, Angel moved behind her wife and slowly wrapped her arms underneath April’s belly, gently lifting it to ease some of the pressure.

April leaned back against her, grateful to have her support. The contractions were becoming harder to endure, and even the most comfortable position offered only limited relief. Angel adjusted her hold whenever necessary, keeping her attention on the Omega as she tried to make things easier for her.

As the hours passed, April moved around the living room, trying different positions while they waited for her to reach ten centimetres. Each time another contraction came, Angel stayed beside her, offering encouragement and reminding her that she was not going through this alone.

She continued praising her wife softly, hoping her words would give April something to hold on to whenever the pain became overwhelming. Although she wished she could take it all away, she knew the best thing she could do was remain by her side.

Eventually, April got into the birth pool. The warm water surrounded her body, offering some relief as she settled into a comfortable position. Angel stayed close, carefully pouring water over her to help keep her cool while speaking gently to her.

Whenever April struggled, Angel reminded her how strong she was and continued offering encouragement, making sure she knew that she would not be facing any of this alone.

The midwife kept monitoring her until the moment finally came for another check.

April was ready to push.

Angel’s heart began pounding as the midwife guided them through the next stage of the delivery. She stayed behind her wife, allowing April to hold onto her arm as she prepared herself for the hardest part.

When the next contraction came, April pushed with all the strength she could gather.

She shouted several uncensored words through the pain, digging her nails into Angel’s skin as she gripped the Alpha’s arm. Angel barely noticed the scratches. Her attention remained on her wife as April gathered her strength and pushed again.

The experience was painful and exhausting, nothing like the peaceful moment Angel had imagined when she first thought about meeting their daughter. Still, she stayed close, supporting April while the midwife guided her through each stage of the delivery.

And finally, it was over.

Their first child was born.

April held her little daughter close, looking down at the tiny face in her arms with a smile that grew wider the longer she stared. After all the waiting and pain, she was finally holding the baby she and Angel had been longing to meet.

She studied the little girl’s features, noticing the familiar details that reminded her of the woman she loved.

"Papi, she looks just like you... your hair and your sweet dimples..." April said, looking at her daughter.

Angel stared at them, and suddenly, the emotions she had been trying to hold back came pouring out.

Tears filled her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. She could not stop crying, but these were tears of pure joy. After watching her wife struggle through labour and anxiously waiting for their little girl to arrive, she could hardly believe that the moment was finally here.

Their daughter was resting in April’s arms, and Angel had never felt so overwhelmed with happiness.

"Our little Angel... Lucy May January Del Rosario."
