Angel finally had a boat of her own, and the best part was that it had been a surprise from her wife, April. She had always wanted to own a boat, and her original plan was to save enough money until she could afford to buy one herself. She had been looking forward to the day she would finally have something she could call her own, something she could use without having to depend on anyone else.

However, April had other plans.

Her online business had been flourishing, bringing in enough money for her to comfortably use some of her personal savings to buy her Alpha the boat she had always wanted. Without telling Angel anything about it, she had arranged everything behind the scenes, turning what would have been an ordinary day into a surprise her wife would never forget.

Angel absolutely loved her new boat.

April had designed it in a stylish, aesthetic way, making sure it looked beautiful without losing the feeling of a proper boat. Every time Angel looked at it, she could not help smiling at the thought of her wife going out of her way to make her happy.

But what caught her attention the most was the big lettering across the boat that read, APRIL LOVES ANGEL.

Angel could not have asked for a better gift.

Her wife had not only bought her the boat she had been saving up for, but she had also made it personal, leaving a reminder of their love where anyone who saw the boat could read it.

With her new boat finally ready, Angel began putting together her crew. She recruited CJ and Benny to work alongside her, bringing the two of them on board as part of her crew. She also hired two other people to help her run the boat, making sure she had enough hands to manage everything properly.

April had also learned to let go of her insecurities. She had reached a point where she no longer allowed her fears to get in the way of the relationship she shared with her Alpha wife. She even told Angel that she was free to visit Priesto’s restaurant whenever she wanted, without feeling the need to explain herself or worry about what might happen there.

April had learned to stop asking those awkward questions that sometimes made things uncomfortable between them. Instead of letting her insecurities control her, she was learning to trust Angel and love her for the person she was.

Their relationship was not perfect, but April wanted to keep growing alongside her wife rather than allow her fears to ruin the happiness they had built together.

The two girls eventually decided to take a day off, bringing their cat family along for a tour around the town. They spent the day exploring different places together before returning home to their cottage, happy to have enjoyed some time away from their usual responsibilities.

With Lucy May’s arrival getting closer, Angel and April also made time to shop for their unborn daughter. They bought baby formulas and adorable little clothes, carefully choosing the things they wanted to have ready before their baby girl finally arrived.

After finishing their shopping, the two took some family pictures together, making sure to capture April’s growing baby bump. They wanted to preserve the memory of this special period in their lives, when they were still waiting to meet the little girl who had already become such an important part of their family.

They also took an intimate picture together, keeping another precious memory of their love and the family they were building.

The new year had finally arrived, and everyone had gathered to celebrate together. With April only a few days away from giving birth, Angel had decided to put her usual activities aside. She did not go to the ranch or the sea because, for now, nothing mattered more to her than staying beside her heavily pregnant wife and helping her through the final days of her pregnancy.

While everyone else was busy celebrating the new year, Angel and April had found themselves a quiet field where they could spend some time alone. The two were tangled together beneath the open sky, watching the stars scattered across the darkness while the crescent moon shone above them.

April rested comfortably against her Alpha, her head lying on Angel’s chest as she enjoyed the peaceful moment. Angel gently played with her dark hair, occasionally running her fingers through the soft strands while holding her close.

"This is so beautiful, Papi..." April muttered, her eyes still fixed on the sky.

"Yes, what we just did was very beautiful. Whoops, who knew that you still had that stamina to handle me..." Angel replied, wearing a mischievous smile.

April immediately lifted her head and hit her wife’s chest.

"I am talking about the sky, Papi..."

"Yeah, you are right. The sky is beautiful. I love it..."

April gave her a look before settling against her again, unable to stop herself from smiling at her wife’s ridiculous behaviour.

"I love you more... We should do this more often. Instead of doing it in the cottage, we can come here..." April suggested.

Angel turned her head to look at her, immediately catching the meaning she wanted to make out of those words.

"When you say doing, is it what I am thinking?"

"Yes, all you think about is sex. I still love you, though. You made me an addict..." April giggled before lifting her face to look at her wife. "Happy New Year, baby..."

"Happy New Year to you too, baby..."

Angel leaned down and kissed her forehead, holding her a little closer as they continued enjoying their time together.

"April, we are in January, and Lucy May is coming anytime soon. Do you understand what I just did?"

April suddenly raised her head, as if the realization had only just caught up with her.

"Oh my, we are having our baby in January! That is really, really awesome! My dad’s mind is going to blow when he finds out that our first daughter is coming this January..."

Angel chuckled at her excitement, equally happy that they were finally getting closer to meeting their little girl.

"What perfect timing... Also, did I mention that we now share a sibling?" Angel asked.

"No, how did you know...?"

"I was scrolling on social media one time, and I saw the news. Your mom really made it a big deal. A Morningstar heir..."

April’s expression changed slightly as she thought about the news. Although it was certainly something worth talking about, she did not seem particularly interested in getting involved in whatever was happening with their parents.

"Well, I wish them all the best, and I hope they don’t repeat the same parenting they did with us..." April said.

"And I don’t give a fuck. I am happy with what I have, and nothing is going to change our peaceful life..." Angel replied without hesitation.

For Angel, the life she had built with April was more than enough. She had her wife, their baby girl who would soon be joining them, her adorable cats and the family they had created together. She had no intention of allowing anything to take that happiness away from her.

The two girls spent the first night of the year outside, wrapped in each other’s arms beneath the stars. They were happy with the life they were building, enjoying the peace they had worked so hard to find.

Neither of them knew that, far away from their quiet little moment, several people were already plotting to destroy the peaceful life they cherished.
