Chapter 293: Ch-293: Mechanical Life Form
Two Days Later
Victor was sitting in his mansion and looking at the crystal that was the key to entering the dungeon he had won at the auction.
"Well, it’s about time I go and check out the dungeon," Victor mumbled as the crystal lit up with a blue hue, and a row of text appeared on his retina.
[Do you want to enter the dungeon Dwarven Crater? Yes/No]
"Yes."
Whoosh!
As soon as Victor confirmed his choice, a swirling blue, glowing portal appeared before him, and he stepped inside.
Whoosh!
"Huh, what is this place?" Victor mumbled as he looked around and saw only an abandoned place, and frowned when he seemed to step onto what seemed like a thick, slimy, oily substance.
The reason he frowned was due to the buildings, which were made up of pure metal, but the most weird thing was that all the buildings seemed to have been bitten by some kind of creature; it seemed the buildings were being treated as food.
Just as Victor was about to take another step forward, his eyes narrowed toward small pebbles that started to shake slightly, and he immediately leaped backward, and sure enough...
Bang!
Just as Victor jumped backward, a huge mouth made up of metal bit into the empty air and then burst out of the ground.
"What the hell?" Victor cursed when he saw a metallic giant serpent with a dwarf on top of it; it seemed he was riding it like some kind of mount.
The dwarf did not say anything, as it was not self-conscious, having been spawned by the dungeon, and attacked.
Victor just snorted, transferred his stats to his strength, and threw a punch.
Bang!
Shatter!
The dwarf and serpent were both killed in one blow, and a row of text appeared before him.
[Ding Dong]
[You have killed a Dwarven Warrior]
[You have killed Mechanical Lifeform — Model: Serpent]
[Dungeon has detected foreign intrusion]
[The dormant Dungeon has awakened]
[Multiple enemies will be spawned in your location]
"Huh?" Victor completely ignored all the text except for this and said, somewhat dazed, "Are you fucking kidding me? I have seen all kinds of races. This is the first time I’ve heard about a mechanical lifeform. Holy shit, can machines even have life? Wait a minute, the shop..."
Victor exclaimed and then quickly opened the Mech Shop.
[Mech Shop]
[Mechanical Lifeform Creation Skill]
Unlock Cost: 200 billion EXP points
Rank: Divine
---
"Hundreds of billions?" Victor’s lips twitched as he read the few skills that could be purchased from the shop.
Rumble!
Victor’s eyes widened when he saw a dozen metal serpents coming out of the ground and saw a small stampede of different creatures made up of metal being ridden by dwarves. He even saw a handful of metallic dragons charging toward his direction.
"What the fuck?" Victor’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when he saw the dwarves pull out some kind of orb and toss it onto the ground, and from the orb, hundreds of what seemed like mechanical beasts appeared before him and surrounded him.
If it were anyone other than Victor, they would be sweating if they found themselves in this situation.
Mechanical lions, 100-foot serpents, and even mechanical dragons all surrounded him in a circle.
Victor immediately used his Eye of Insight on the dwarves, and his eyes lit up.

Victor’s eyes lit up when he saw the unique troops, and he couldn’t help but exclaim, "Holy shit, this is the first time I am seeing mechanical lifeforms. Not even in my past life did I see mechanical lifeforms."
Victor was already planning to provide his soldiers with these mechanical beasts, which would increase their combat power. Even though he couldn’t use them himself, he could arm his troops with them and perhaps even sell the weaker ones if he needed to.
He then activated his pupil technique on the metal dragon, and a row of text appeared on his retina.
[Mechanical Life Form — Model: Dragon]
[Tier: 3]
[Description: A mechanical lifeform that has the same intelligence as Magical Beasts and is a special race that feeds on metal and ores to grow stronger. If not provided with enough metal, they will go berserk and attack their tamers.]
"No wonder the buildings were in this state. It must be their food," Victor frowned as he read the information and thought, ’If there were no metal drops in the loot, I would have hesitated to use them as my army.’
Victor snorted when he saw the dwarves launching all kinds of ranged attacks toward him and the beasts lunging forward to bite him.
Rumble!
He turned into lightning and shot toward the sky, then muttered, "Lightning Serpents."
Multiple serpents made up of black lightning shot out from his palm toward the attackers and wiped them out within seconds.
[Ding Dong]

[You have received Mechanical Life Form — Model: Serpent Summoning Certificate]
[You have received Mechanical Life Form — Model: Dragon Summoning Certificate]
[You have received...]
Victor then opened his inventory, brought out the summoning contract for the Mechanical Life Form — Model: Dragon, and used it.
As soon as the contract disintegrated, a portal appeared, and from within it, the same dragon the dwarves were riding walked toward him with heavy steps as Victor’s eyes lit up.
Victor put his hand forward, and the metallic dragon leaned forward and rubbed its snout against his hand.
"It’s a bit rough," Victor said as he felt the rough, greasy surface.
The dragon lowered its body and looked at Victor, signaling him. An amused smile appeared on his face as he said, "You want me to ride on your back?"
Grrrr.
A rumbling sound came from its mouth as it moved its metallic head.
"All right, fly!" Victor said with excitement as he hopped onto the back of the dragon. Even though he could fly, riding a dragon was different. It was one of his childhood dreams to ride a dragon.
After flying for about an hour and hunting other dwarves using the dragon, he exited the dungeon.

Silvernum Territory
"How may I be of your service, Princess Amanda?" Rina was sitting across from an extremely beautiful woman as she put her teacup down after taking a sip and looked at Amanda, who looked at her calmly.
"First, if I may be bold, may I ask what that new building is?" Amanda tried to remain calm, but her nerves were a bit tense as she had sensed the mana density around the building. It was the largest in the Silvernum Territory, even higher than a few Dungeons, an anomaly she had never seen before.
Hearing her question, a mischievous smile appeared on her face as she replied, "Oh, that is called the Warlock Altar."
Indeed, after Victor had left the place, Rina was checking the Silvernum Territory, her new home, and stumbled upon the unfinished building. When she saw the required materials Victor lacked, she was shocked, not because of their rarity, but because she remembered that in their treasury, they had the materials needed, which had been collecting dust. So, without hesitation, she completed the altar while Victor and Amber were away to give him a surprise.
"Warlock Altar?" Amanda’s eyebrows twitched as a bad feeling appeared in her chest when she saw the subtle curve of Rina’s mouth.
"Indeed, it is a building which can grant a Warlock Bloodline to anyone," Rina said calmly, and Amanda and Bianca, who was by her side, had their pupils shrink to the size of needles, and their breathing became rapid.
Amanda immediately felt a pair of eyes drilling holes into her, and she felt her eyebrows twitch as she knew who it was.
She turned to look around and saw Bianca looking at her. She rubbed her temples as she knew that Bianca was the one without a Warlock Bloodline, and she had been pestering her to find an item to help her awaken a Bloodline. But where could Amanda find one when they were even rarer than Legendary Rank items?
Amanda sighed and looked at Rina and asked, "Miss Rina, if what you say is true, would you agree to selling a slot to me?"
"Oh." Rina’s eyes darted from Amanda to Bianca and understood everything. She said, "I need to wait for my husband. Only he can approve or disapprove."
"I see. When will Lord Victor return?" Amanda asked.
Tring!
"Oh, speak of the devil, look, he is back," Rina said as she stood up and walked outside. Amanda and Bianca looked at each other and followed her outside.
