Amanda sighed and looked at Rina and asked, "Miss Rina, if what you say is true, would you agree to selling a slot to me?"

"Oh." Rina’s eyes darted from Amanda to Bianca and understood everything. She said, "I need to wait for my husband. Only he can approve or disapprove."

"I see. When will Lord Victor return?" Amanda asked.

Tring!

"Oh, speak of the devil, look, he is back," Rina said as she stood up and walked outside. Amanda and Bianca looked at each other and followed her outside.

Rina, Bianca, and Amanda walked outside the mansion and spotted Victor and Amber looking at the giant altar with shocked and confused expressions.

Instead of an altar, it should be more specifically called a tall, ten-story building made of marble with an altar at the top.

Victor and Amber turned their heads toward the other side and saw Rina, Amanda, and Bianca walking toward them.

Victor immediately opened his mouth and asked his wife, "Rina, what the hell happened while I was gone? How on heavens did the altar get completed?"

Victor said with excitement and doubt as he pointed toward the Altar. "Rina, how is this complete? I remember I did not have the materials required to complete it..."

Victor was honestly very frustrated when he could not find the materials needed to complete the altar, which put a pause on his plan to manufacture Warlock soldiers under his command.

"Indeed, do you know who did it?" Amber also looked at Rina and said. She had been staying at home and shopping on Earth while Victor was dealing with the dungeon, and last time she was here, she saw the dilapidated building. But now that she returned with Victor, she saw it completed. She knew how much importance Victor placed on this building.

Amber, instead of showing excitement, shot a wary look at the Altar and thought someone might have planted a trap, but Rina’s next words made her relieved and incredulous.

"Oh, this? I was the one who completed the construction," Rina said with a smug look on her face.

"You did?" Victor was completely dumbfounded as he watched Rina’s smug look and could not help but ask, "Where did you find the materials?"

"I found them in my family treasury, among the useless pile which no one had checked for hundreds of years. If I was not responsible for cleaning the treasury, I would not have known we had the materials," Rina said with a shrug.

"Maybe I should let you clean the Silvernum Vault," Victor said in a low voice, and Rina heard his words. Tick-tack-toe appeared on her forehead as she thought, ’Hah, do you think I wanted to? No one from my family would, that’s why I did it, and I am not a maid, bastard.’

Victor did not seem to notice Rina’s expression and looked at the Altar with shining eyes.

"Victor," Rina suddenly said, and after Victor snapped out of his daze and looked at her, he noticed Princess Amanda and said, "Princess, what are you doing here? Weren’t you visiting the nobles for their support?"

Hearing Victor’s question, a bitter smile appeared on her face. "It seems I misunderstood. The Eindrik family is not that respected among the nobles... They all refused to submit and are trying to establish their own kingdoms. Even my uncle and the Queen’s faction were rejected by them. Even if some agreed, they offered the same proposal to marry me, and some had the gall to make me their concubine."

Amanda’s fist clenched and her expression darkened when she said the last words. Just thinking about the condescending and arrogant looks they gave her made her blood boil. Even trash who never dared to meet her eyes were now looking down on her. The only reason she did not explode and kill them was that if she did that, a war would erupt and her troops would be consumed, giving a chance to her Uncle’s and the Queen’s factions. Who knew, they might take this opportunity to eliminate her.

"Oh," Victor said. He could understand the nobles’ thoughts; even he perhaps would not have submitted, as this was the best chance to rise.

Just as Victor was thinking, Amanda looked at Victor and said, "Lord Victor, I have a proposal."

"Oh? What proposal?" Victor asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I would like us to divide the Kingdom. Half of it can become the Silvernum Kingdom’s territory, and the other half will belong to me, and he will team up with me and slaughter the nobles," Amanda said in a cold voice, and then looked at Victor and continued, "And I have a few territories near the Silvernum Territory. I can transfer them to you, as I don’t want to fight, as we are allies."

Amanda and Rina’s eyes widened with complete shock and looked at Amanda with disbelief, but soon calmed down as they thought from her side. If they were in her place, they would also be wary and afraid of Victor.

"What do you want in return?" Victor asked, looking at her with his arms crossed. He watched as she turned to look at Bianca, who was fidgeting, and raised an eyebrow.

Before Amanda could say anything, Bianca stepped forward and said, "Lord Victor, can I use the altar? I always wanted a Bloodline."

As soon as she said this, Victor understood, and an amused smile appeared on his face.

Bianca and Amanda both looked a bit nervous as Victor replied, "Fine, I accept."

Immediately, Bianca relaxed and smiled. "Thank you, Lord Victor."

Rina, who had not spoken up, suddenly said, "Victor, I would like to bring Emily with me as well to awaken a Bloodline for her."

Hearing this, Amber also remembered Sophie. Thinking about it, she blushed a little, as she had forgotten and ignored her sidekick for a long time. "Me too, I also want to add Sophie. I will fetch her along with Emily."

Victor naturally would not refuse his wives’ request and nodded as he saw Rina and Amber leaving.

After a few minutes, both arrived with Emily and Sophie behind them.

Sophie looked at Amber and almost teared up. ’I was wrong. The Miss did forget about me or ignore me. She was planning such a generous present for me.’

Amber could feel Sophie’s gaze, and her lips twitched as she remained silent and gave her a smile. She would never admit she had ignored Sophie or forgotten about her existence.

"All right, let’s go," Victor said as the door opened and they entered inside.

---

The first thing that came into their view was the endless white floor and walls made up of marble.

"Woah, I never expected it to be so large from the inside," Rina exclaimed as she looked around the place.

Immediately, a blinding white light descended upon them, and before they could react, a row of text appeared on their retinas.

[Scanning...]

[Scan complete]

[The owner of the Altar is present with the party]

[Extermination plan eliminated]

At first, the girls were baffled, but when they read the last description, they shuddered all over as they had a feeling they would have died without resistance.

"Looks like it’s a detection and safety mechanism of the Altar," Amanda said as she wiped the sweat off her face and mumbled.

"Let’s go up. We need to climb the stairs to reach the Altar," Victor mumbled as he pointed toward the stairs, and Amber complained, "I won’t take the stairs. I will just fly up; it’s too much of a hassle."

Victor did not stop her as she tried to use her Bloodline to create ice wings, but her eyes widened when she could not activate her Bloodline.

"This place restricts the use of Bloodlines, my dear wife," Victor said with a sigh and then pointed at the stairs. "Don’t be a dream queen; just take the stairs."

"Fine," Amber said with a pout.

Everyone then started to climb the steps, and after a few minutes, they reached the top floor and arrived in front of a massive Altar. The floors had hundreds of complex, glowing runes which Victor did not understand the heads or tails of.

"All right, you three stand at the center of the Altar. I will use the resources to activate it," Victor said, looking at the nervous Bianca, Sophie, and even Emily. The cold maid was a bit nervous as well.

The three nodded and stepped forward, standing on the Altar.

Victor then opened his inventory and offered the required resources to start the ritual.

As soon as Victor did this, a new row of notifications appeared on his retina.

[The owner Victor Silvernum has started the Awakening ritual]

[As this is the first ritual, the participants might awaken an unknown high-ranking Bloodline for the first time]

"Oh." Victor raised an eyebrow when he read this, and his expression quickly changed when he heard the sound of screaming.

"AHHHHHH! SO PAINFUL!"
