Chapter 368: Chapter 228: Seeking Help

He knew he had to find a way to rescue Lin Wan’Er as soon as possible. If the black-robed man lost patience, the consequences would be unthinkable.

Fang Yue took a deep breath, then strode resolutely toward Yujing City.

’My opponent is incredibly powerful. I’ll have to rely on the Observatory’s strength to contend with him.’

Knowing time was of the essence, Fang Yue set off for Yujing City immediately, without a moment’s delay.

He knew that while the black-robed man probably wouldn’t harm Lin Wan’Er for now, any delay would be extremely detrimental.

After a hurried journey, Fang Yue finally arrived outside the gates of Yujing City.

The colossal, towering city stood before him, exuding a solemn and mysterious aura.

Upon entering the city, Fang Yue headed straight for the Observatory.

Fang Yue arrived at the main gate of the Observatory. Gazing at the magnificent structure, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe.

He knew that the Observatory was one of the most mysterious organizations in the Great Xia Dynasty, responsible for monitoring the world, maintaining order, and possessing immense power and strength.

In fact, Yujing City itself—and even the four Four Symbols Cities surrounding it—had been established because of the Observatory.

As an Inspector for the Observatory, Fang Yue was able to enter directly. He sought out Hui Hengwu, the Steward of the Examination Pavilion, with whom he was on good terms.

"Haha, Fang Yue, you’ve done well this time. I never thought you’d accomplish such a great feat so soon after becoming an Inspector. That’s a full one thousand merit points."

Hui Hengwu was very happy to see Fang Yue. The white-haired Steward of the Examination Pavilion thought, ’The junior I have my eye on is truly promising.’ The information Fang Yue had sent allowed them to directly foil a major conspiracy by the Blood Dragon Platform.

Furthermore, using the clues provided, they were able to hunt down and kill an Expert of Shape-Shifting from the Blood Dragon Platform.

Fang Yue immediately understood. The letter he had sent from Liangzhou Prefecture City had worked. ’So there really was something wrong with those boxes,’ he thought.

"Could it be about those boxes, Elder Hui? So there really was a problem with them?" Fang Yue’s mind raced as he quickly asked.

"That’s right, there was a problem with the boxes." Hui Hengwu nodded, a hint of admiration on his face. "Following the lead you gave us, we conducted a detailed inspection. We discovered they were filled with contraband and secret letters—all evidence of the Blood Dragon Platform’s communications and plotting."

"Your contribution was indispensable in foiling the Blood Dragon Platform’s plot. I’ve already reported your merits to my superiors, and I’m sure a reward will be issued shortly."

Fang Yue’s heart leaped with joy. He never expected that he would actually accomplish something so significant just by stumbling into it.

"Thank you for your guidance, Elder Hui," Fang Yue said hurriedly.

He knew he owed his current success to Hui Hengwu’s support and assistance.

"Haha, no need to thank me," Hui Hengwu said with a smile. "I only give you these opportunities because I see your potential. As long as you continue to work hard, your future accomplishments will be boundless."

After a brief pause, Hui Hengwu asked, "By the way, you came all this way to find me. You must have something you need, right?"

He knew Fang Yue wasn’t one to show up without a reason, so he must have come with a purpose in mind.

Fang Yue nodded. "To be honest, Elder Hui, I have come with an urgent request."

He then recounted the story of how Lin Wan’Er had been abducted by the black-robed man. "I would like to request the Observatory’s help in rescuing her," he finished.

After listening to Fang Yue’s account, Hui Hengwu’s brow furrowed slightly. "Black Robe? Are you referring to the Expert of Shape-Shifting named Black Robe, one of the Imperial Tributors?"

"It must be him," Fang Yue said with a nod.
