Chapter 3307 Beast Cores

Chapter 3307 Beast Cores

Scarlet excitedly went after Ray, and the rest followed along. Ray arrived back at the other side of the mountain next to one of the two large depressions on the ground. He pointed to the depression on the left.

“Go and dig there,” he told Scarlet.

Scarlet looked at the empty space, which Alex had explained to her was the grave of the Midnight Phoenix. As far as she had understood it, the Primordial had completely given herself up, letting her body turn into pure aura. As such, Scarlet wondered what it was she could find.

Some feathers maybe? Some part of its claw or bones?

She dug through the dirt as she was asked, but there was nothing obvious to show for it immediately. Nothing jumped out at her, so she kept on digging.

Alex and the rest arrived close by and watched.

Scarlet only hit dirt at first, getting nothing out. Due to the aura in this place messing with her Spiritual Sense, she couldn’t even use it to find anything accurately at all. However, after digging for about two minutes, she noticed something in the dirt that blended with the ground so very well that she almost missed it.

She grabbed the object with her Qi and pulled it out of the ground. What came out was the size of a decently big marble. Like pitch-black fog covering some bright red flames, the object was mostly black in color with hints of red throughout.

It took Scarlet and the others only a moment to realize what this was. A Beast Core.

The Beast Core of the Primordial Midnight Phoenix.

“This… this is what I think it is, right?” Scarlet asked in a weak voice.

Alex turned toward Ray. “When the Midnight Phoenix sacrificed herself, she didn’t sacrifice her core?” he asked.

“No,” Ray said. “Their bodies had enough energy to do what needed to be done. So, there was no need to sacrifice everything. Besides, it was a form of failsafe in case something happened to me. I could have one of them be reborn as a spirit before I vanished so they could continue the trial in my absence!”

Before Ray could even finish speaking, Pearl’s eyes had already widened in shock.

“They?”

Ray looked back. “Yes,” he said, slowly realizing something. “Did you need a Creation as well?”

Pearl didn’t even wait to answer. He rushed toward the other grave and dug through the dirt before he got his hands on what he was looking for.

The dark blue core with streaks of white moving around it almost made it look like a pill with pill veins. However, it was far from that.

It was a Beast Core. The second beast core they had seen in minutes, belonging to none other than the Primordial that had died in that spot.

The Flying Raindragon.

Pearl couldn’t help but raise the core in Alex’s direction. “Brother, look. I found my final Creation.”

Hearing Pearl’s excited voice made Alex excited as well. Both Scarlet and Pearl moved in closer, both of them holding on to the core they would be using.

“Congratulations on such incredible Creations,” Shumi said from the side. Her own Creation was much better than this, but she could not deny just how much better these Creations were than everyone else’s. Alex sat down on the grass, sharing in the group’s excitement. He

turned toward Scarlet with a chuckle in his voice. “Imagine you decided not to eat the Second Chance pill and kept your Progenitor’s flames as your Creation.”

Scarlet felt a moment of panic thinking about that. “I would’ve lost out on so much,” she said. “But I was smart. I’ve now gained so much more.”

“Let’s see,” Alex said as he thought through Scarlet’s Creations. “You have the Three-Legged Crow’s body, the Midnight Phoenix’s core, and Godkiller’s physique. You need one more Creation, don’t you?” Scarlet nodded. “And I’ve had some thoughts about it too. I need your suggestions on whether it’s a good idea or not,” she said.

“Oh? What thoughts have you had?” Alex asked.

“Sunheart,” Scarlet said. “Would it be a bad idea to turn the Sunheart into my Creation? Or at least the Yang that comes with it?” Alex raised an eyebrow. “I… I don’t think that’s a bad idea at all,” he said. The Sunhearts were such amazing objects after all. If Scarlet were to gain a Creation out of it, she could probably use the Sunheart’s function of releasing Yang aura to either fight against Yin, or more importantly, to activate all sorts of formations and artifacts. It was no different than having Alex’s Yang Qi in that regard.

The more Alex thought about it, the better he found Sunhearts to be

as a Creation.

“That settles the deliberation on your Creations,” Alex said, turning toward Pearl next.

“You have all your Creations in order too, right?” he asked.

Pearl nodded. “I already have my Blood Essence, Godkiller’s Physique,

and Guardian Tiger. With the Flying Raindragon’s core, I have all four of my Creations settled as well.”

Alex nodded. “And those are some damn good Creations too,” he said, finally turning toward Whisker.

Whisker, sadly, had no Creations planned as of yet. They had talked

about giving him the Godkiller’s physique as well, but part of that physique became useless because of who he was.

As such, he was left with two Origins and absolutely no idea what to

fill them with.

“We’ll think of something for you too, Whisker,” Alex said. “If all else

fails, you can just absorb the Guardian Tiger and Three-Legged Crow.”

Whisker slowly nodded.

“Wait,” Pearl quickly said. “Since I have my Creations sorted out,

Whisker can take the first beast core instead.”

Pearl brought out the beast core Alex had given them previously for either one of them to use, which Alex had no memory of.

“This can be Whisker’s,” Pearl said.

Whisker took the core.

“Oh!” Ray said in a surprised tone. “You never mentioned you already

had one before.”

Alex turned toward him. “One what?”

“The core,” Ray said. “Of another Primordial.”

“WHAT!?”

Ray glanced at them all with a curious look.

“Were you not aware?” he asked. “That is the core of the Nine-Tailed

Fox.”
