Chapter 3308 Plans
Chapter 3308 Plans
Alex and the rest remained frozen in shock upon hearing what they had.
“The beast core of the Nine-Tailed Fox?” Alex asked with wide eyes.
“That’s what we had?” Pearl couldn’t help but ask, staring back at the core. Not for a second could he have even imagined that the core he had belonged to a Primordial.
“I’m surprised you didn’t know,” Ray said. “Did you just happen to find it?”
“No,” Alex said slowly. “I got it from a place I visited a while ago, but one I have no memories of. I only vaguely remember arriving there, and then it’s all blank. I’ve had people tell me it is the Realm within Realms, but I am not sure.”
“I’m afraid I do not know much about any of the realms,” the crow said.
“Realm within Realms? What’s that?” Shumi asked.
“One of the three unclaimed realms,” Alex quickly said. “The demons call it something else, if I remember correctly. The Ever-Collapsing Realm.”
“Oh!” Shumi seemed surprised. “You went there? I heard there was a high mortality rate for anyone even daring to enter. The fractured space around there constantly tears apart anything that gets close to it.”
“I don’t know if I went there or not,” Alex said. “I was trying to escape from Hell, and I found an opening out of the Void. I don’t remember anything else, so everything beyond that is just conjecture on my part.”
Shumi slowly nodded.
Alex turned toward Ray. “What is the Nine-Tailed Fox known for?” he
asked. “Would it be good for Whisker?”
“The Nine-Tailed Fox was the strongest among us when it came to illusions and deceptions. Her spiritual energy was leaps and bounds beyond any of us. She never fought fairly and always relied on trickery to win battles. She was also very much known for her mischief. If you did find her core in this place, then that must’ve been where she died.”
Alex nodded slowly. “Doesn’t sound like she confronted fighters directly, so it might really fit Whisker.”
Whisker held onto the core now, a look of happiness flashing across his face. He was more than excited about absorbing the core, especially now that he could cultivate all on his own and break through to the next realm easily.
“That more or less settles everything, right?” Scarlet asked. “Is it time we left?”
Alex paused for a moment and shook his head. “No, not yet,” he said before turning to Shumi. “What do you think?”
Shumi gave a curious look. “You’ve thought of something?”
Alex nodded. He turned toward Ray and asked, “Just to confirm, no one can get here, can they?”
Ray shook his head. “Not even a Celestial can make his way into this mountain. I would kill them.”
Alex turned toward the rest. “That means this is the safest place out there for me to cultivate.”
Shumi looked confused. “What do you need a safe place for?”
“To learn my final two Creations,” Alex explained. “I need to open a Void gate here constantly and absorb its aura. At the same time, I also need to call for Immortal Tribulations and Pill Clouds constantly. That is going to be far too eye-catching on the outside. This is the only place I can get away with it.”
Shumi blinked for a moment. “What sort of Creations are you planning on making?” she asked.
“One made of Void, and the other made of the Heavenly Clouds,” Alex explained. “Those are the only ones I need to work for.”
He turned toward the crow next. “Ray, prepare the strongest form of
Sun Fire you can create. I am going to use it too.”
“As you say, Master,” the crow said with a deep bow and moved far away to get to work on it.
Shumi looked back at Alex with a look of hesitation. “I was hoping to head back to Sister Xin and let her know I’m safe. It’s been over a month since I was separated from her.”
Alex’s face somewhat fell. “I was hoping we could spend some more time together.”
Shumi nodded. “I did too, but Sister Xin would be worried if I’m gone for too long, and I do not know if I can put her through this situation
again.”
“Again?” Alex asked.
“I was stuck in the Ever Dark Realm for ages while Sister Xin didn’t know if I was alive or dead. She had been so worried about me. I don’t
want her to feel the same way again.”
Alex nodded. “I understand,” he said before a thought came to him. “But do you have to leave? Can’t someone just take a message from
you?”
Shumi paused for a moment. “That works too. Who is going to take the message back?”
Alex turned toward the few on the side and chose the perfect candidate. “Pearl! I have a job for you.”
Pearl turned around finally. “What do you need, brother?”
“I-“
A wave of heat caught Alex by surprise, causing all the humans and beasts to turn around and look far away at the edge of the barrier, where a single torch burned brightly with pure yellow flames. The flames themselves were small in comparison, but the heat they gave off was incredible.
Alex momentarily fell into thought about every single thing he could do with this flame, from alchemy to artifact forging, and couldn’t help
but be excited about it.
“The fire is ready, Master,” Ray said from far away.
“Thank you!” Alex shouted before turning back. “Pearl, I need you to return to the city we came from.”
Pearl raised his eyebrows. “Right now?”
Alex nodded. “You are the only one who doesn’t need to remain here
to cultivate and improve yourself, so you are the only one who can do
it,” he explained.
“I need you to go back and tell Bai Jingshen about us and that we’re safe. At the same time, I need you to take a message from Shumi to
her senior sister as well.”
Pearl didn’t even think twice. “Okay.”
