Chapter 3306 Sun Fire

Chapter 3306 Sun Fire

Ray was happy with his new name. It was short and fit him quite well. “Congratulations on your new name, Ray,” Alex said, and then turned toward the rest. “Do you have anything else to ask him? Because we have to start making our next plans.”

“I have a few,” Scarlet quickly said and turned toward Ray.

“Is it true that our species is descended from yours?” she asked.

“Your species? You are a Vermilion Bird, right?” Ray asked before looking at her carefully. “Hmm… I can’t tell. Maybe you are,

considering I did have many children in my lifetime, so my bloodline is out there.”

“Oh,” Scarlet was a little disappointed. She was hoping for a more

concrete answer.

Ray smiled. “I don’t see why you are so disappointed. While I may or may not have been your ancestor, none of it was what made you what you are. It’s her,” he said, pointing to Shumi.

“She? You mean the Moon Goddess?” Scarlet asked.

“Yes. Or more specifically, it was the Phoenix Mother and the Dragon Father together who blessed your bloodline into becoming what you are today,” Ray said. “But since the Sun God is sealed away, it’s only her now.”

Scarlet looked at Shumi for a moment, confused, before turning back to Ray. “What do you mean? She’s the Moon Goddess, not the Phoenix Mother.”

Alex realized that he had skipped out on explaining that part as well.

“Well, you see. The Moon Goddess was the Phoenix Mother as well. And since Shumi is now the Moon Goddess, she is, in a way, the one who blessed your bloodline.”

When Scarlet fully understood the meaning of Alex’s words, her eyes went wide in astonishment. It took her a full minute to say anything else.

“I see,” she finally said, unable to form more words.

Alex couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Is that it?” he asked. “You don’t have any more questions, right?”

“No,” Scarlet said. “Actually, wait. I do.”

She quickly turned toward Ray. “Can you teach me Sun Fire?” she asked. “I want to make it my Creation.”

Alex paused. “Actually, I want to learn it too,” he said casually. “All these yellow flames are Sun Fire, right?”

“Not exactly,” Ray said. “They could be considered one, but true Sun Fire is much too strong to be used as torches. I can create them for you later if you wish to learn.”

“Really?!” Scarlet asked with an excited look on her face. “Thank you so much.”

“Thank you, Ray. We would appreciate it,” Alex said.

“Although,” Ray spoke up while looking at Scarlet, “do you really want to create Sun Fire as your Creation?”

“Yes!” Scarlet said. “Why? It’s the strongest type of fire out there, isn’t it?”

“It is,” Ray said. “But if it is just the fire you want, then you can get it another way too. A much better way.””

Scarlet narrowed her eyes. “What other way?”

“You see,” Ray spoke up. “I gained the ability to use Sun Fire when I ate the fruit of the Nine Yang God Tree, which means its power is

ingrained into my body.”

“Okay…” Scarlet said, not seeing the point.

“So, if instead of the fire, you turned my body into your Creation, the fire comes along with it.”

“Your body?” Scarlet nearly screamed.

“Your body?” Alex asked in confusion. “Isn’t it destroyed? You said you sacrificed yourself.”

“Just my core,” Ray said. “I just needed to use my beast core to create my current form. My body still exists as it was back then.”

Ray pointed to the other side of the hill. “Down there, you’ll find it buried under some dirt. It’s been a long time, so it’s started degrading somewhat, but there should be more than enough for you to use it to form a Creation.”

Scarlet was at a loss for words. Even the others were equally surprised.

After what he had heard about the Flying Raindragon and the Midnight Phoenix, Alex had more or less come to the wrong

conclusion that the crow’s body was gone as well.

But as it appeared, its body was still more or less intact, just like the

Guardian Tiger’s was.

Scarlet immediately flew to the other side and started digging through the dirt. She barely even dug up any dirt before the yellow feathers of the Golden Crow became visible through the grass.

In a flash, she pushed away all the dirt from the crow’s corpse, pulling it out into the open.

A Primordial’s body was so condensed with energy that even after more than a million years, there was not the slightest sign that the

bird could’ve died more than a year ago.

It was so well-preserved that Alex was genuinely impressed by it all.

Ray flew down to where his corpse lay and stared at what used to be him. He held the strangest of expressions that could not be discerned.

It was hard to tell what he was feeling either. How did one feel when they were clearly alive and yet also clearly dead?

No one there could truly sympathize with the crow at that moment.

Scarlet’s excitement died a little when she saw that.

“I’m sorry,” she said quickly. “I shouldn’t have been so excited.”

“That’s fine,” the crow said. “You were excited to have finally decided

what your Creation is going to be. Everyone understands how one

feels when they finally make that decision.”

Scarlet smiled. “Still, I should be respectful. It is your corpse after all.”

Ray said nothing.

“Congrats on… what is this, your second Creation?” Alex asked.

“Yes,” Scarlet said. “First is what Pearl gave me, and this is second.”

“Second?” Ray looked at them.

Alex quickly explained to the crow that they could gain more than

one Creation. Both Pearl and Scarlet could get up to four, and

Whisker could get two.

“Oh!” the crow said, genuinely surprised. “Such a technique didn’t exist when I was becoming an Immortal,” he said.

He then turned toward Scarlet.

“You’ve got two more empty Origins, right?” he asked. “Come with

me.”
