Chapter 2086 - 2086: The Demon King of the Sixth Heaven
—–
Kimiko Hanna walked through the ever-shifting castle she had arrived at, sighing in relief that the monstrous barbarian had not managed to catch her. The castle was constantly moving, rooms going from one place to another, carrying hundreds or thousands of soldiers or Yokai, weapons, armor, supplies.
Massive Dimensional Gates opened here and there, and farther in the distance, bringing these troops to other places through the divine and demonic powers of her Emperor…
“Ahhh… Even though I’ve seen this many times, I’m always amazed by it,” she sighed in relief, taking off her hoodie and revealing her youthful and beautiful face, despite being over a hundred years old, she kept herself young through dark magic.
“So it seems, but if you stay for long enough, you will too grow tired and used to it,” a large man said, walking by her side. Crimson armor covered him from head to toe, as he sheathed his incredibly long katana, flames disappearing from his body and his weapon.
“Akechi Mitsuhide-sama, it is an honor to have been saved by your exquisite blade. It is as the rumors say, you’re an incredible swordsman with no equal!” Kimiko praised him, as the man glared at her, his eyes faintly glowing beneath his crimson oni mask.
“…You’ve failed to secure that island for Lord Nobunaga, Kimiko. And even more, it appears that Shibata Katsuie died,” he said with a cold tone of voice. “What is your excuse for such incompetence?”
“A-Ah…” Hanna glared back at Mitsuhide; her eyes filled with despair as she realized that she might end up being greatly punished for this. “But you have to understand, we were facing a monster like nothing we saw before, Mitsuhide-sama! You faced him on your own, he was immensely strong, he defeated Lord Shibata Katsuie effortlessly!”
“…Hm,” Mitsuhide let out an annoyed groan, but he remained silent through the trip towards the Dark Palace within the ever-shifting Dimensional Castle.
The two entered a large platform that led them higher and higher, reaching the highest point of this strange dimension, where a pitch-black pagoda floated, surrounded by several black, serpent-like dragons glaring at them with furious crimson eyes.
“Now, you will have to explain what you told me to our Emperor,” said Mitsuhide. “I hope that you make sure to explain everything as much as possible, and without stuttering. As you should know, Oda Nobunaga-sama hates those that stutter.”
“Y-Yes…” Hanna muttered. “Ah, I stuttered…”
“Hmm…” Mitsuhide glared at her coldly, as they entered the Dark Pagoda’s gates, which opened on their own.
As the two walked forward, Mitsuhide quickly knelt before the immense presence that Kimiko felt, and so did she a second after. She didn’t realize HE would be right there, just next to the damned door, sitting over his majestic and demonic throne made of the bones of his foes encased on black, cursed alloy.
“Mitsuhide… Kimiko…”
His voice reverberated through the entire palace with a manly and strong, overbearing tone of voice. His powerful presence seemed to twist, warp, and shatter space. His voice was like a curse running deep into someone’s soul, immediately making them submit to his very existence.
This man, who Kimiko was only able to glance for a second before lowering her head, clad on Japanese-styled Imperial General Armor, with long, pointy black hair, sharp black eyebrows and glowing black eyes, with a presence that seemed both overwhelming and overbearing…
Oda Nobunaga, the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven, looked down at his subjects.
He rested his head over his closed fist while he leaned to the left on his throne, looking down at his subjects rather casually, his eyes looked bored.
“Yes, your majesty,” Mitsuhide said, looking back at Oda Nobunaga. “Kimiko here has come back after embarrassedly losing her grasp in the Island Territory of the Yggdrasil World. Alongside that, I’ve come to report that Katsuie Shibata is dead.”
“…I see,” Oda Nobunaga didn’t even change his expression, nor he seemed furious or something. “And you say she’s the sole survivor?”
“There must be some, but they surrendered after being cornered,” Mitsuhide said.
“Hmph, damned cowards, perhaps we should’ve tried to control them more, nobody in my army must surrender, you fight until death!” Oda Nobunaga roared, more enraged over soldiers surrendering than one of his Five Generals dying. “Now tell me, Kimiko, who did this? Who killed Katsuie?”
“That’s… yes, your majesty!” she nodded. “That was the barbarian that Lord Mitsuhide here briefly confronted. He called himself the Dragon King of Yggdrasil, named Drake. Truth be told, he has immense power that made him an equal match against Katsuie Shibata at the beginning, although he rapidly gained the upper hand as the battle progressed…”
“…Dorake, is it?” Oda Nobunaga said.
“Drake…” Kimiko pronounced the name better. “I know that the names of the barbarians of Yggdrasil can be strange, your majesty.”
“Draaaaek… Drake…” Oda Nobunaga started trying to pronounce the name. “Drake. Ah, go it.”
“…”
“…”
Kimiko and Mitsuhide glanced at their Emperor in silence… he was always rather eccentric.
“Hmmm… So there’s a Dragon of such power in that world? Well, that’s interesting… Katsuie Shibata was the weakest of you, so I am not too surprised he died,” Oda Nobunaga said. “However, if he truly died fighting until the end for my sake, then I must answer with equal loyalty. That lizard, we shall hunt him down and eat him for dinner. Roasted, preferably. If he has any kids, we’ll tame them into obedient mounts.”
“Then that means…?” Kimiko’s eyes grew more fascinated.
“Yes, I’ll allow you to borrow more of my army, and my power…” Oda Nobunaga said. “Only because I want that dragon’s head on my walls. I will not use all my forces to chase after him but… if he keeps trying to stop my conquest, then I add more effort into his extermination.”
“T-Thank you, your majesty! You’re too benevolent!” Kimiko Hanna was fascinated, smiling and crying in happiness.
“However!”
TRUMMM!
Oda’s presence was manifested as a giant sea of black, purple, and red flames, before taking the form of a giant black skeleton covered with infernal crimson flames, glaring down at Kimiko.
Her eyes widened as she stepped back, pissing herself out of fear, wetting her underwear and dress in the process.
“A-Aaah…”
“If you ever dare come back without results, you better prepare for the consequences, Kimiko… I detest incompetent cowards!”
“Y-Yes, your majesty…!”
“And stop stuttering!”
“Eek!”
