Chapter 1581 - 1623: Placed in His Arms

The little fellow seemed completely unaware, still happily eating his meal. On the contrary, Mabel Quinn grew more anxious as time passed, her gaze constantly flitting between her daughter and Jeremiah May, even making Old Man May curious.

"What’s going on, Mrs. Kinston, is there something wrong with Jeremiah?" Old Man May mentioned only his nephew, not the little one.

"No... Nothing." Mabel quickly replied.

Jeremiah also looked at Mabel with curiosity, sensing an urgency in her gaze as if something was about to happen.

Just as dinner ended and Jeremiah prepared to go upstairs, Mabel suddenly felt a tight grip on her hand. It was Kyle Kinston who had suddenly grabbed her hand.

Mabel froze, and then noticed her husband’s slightly furrowed brow, immediately realizing—it was the Blood Curse! The Kinston Family Blood Curse had started!

That means Ivy... Mabel looked at her daughter, seeing her small body bent over, her little head drooping so much her expression was unclear, but she must be in pain too.

Just as Mabel was about to move forward, Kyle was a step ahead, holding their daughter in one arm, and the two quickly walked over to Jeremiah. Once they reached him, they thrust the daughter into Jeremiah’s arms.

Jeremiah was taken aback, but before he could react, the little one in his arms responded first, clinging tightly to Jeremiah as if she were a little suction cup, her limbs gripping him tightly, making it difficult for him to breathe.

Jeremiah wanted to pry the little one off, but Mabel urgently said, "No, Jeremiah, hold her for now."

Jeremiah looked at Mabel in confusion. Mabel bit her lip slightly, not yet sure what to say, but Kyle spoke up to Jeremiah, "Why not go to your room? We could have a chat."

Jeremiah thought about it, then looked down at the little one in his arms. Her little head was buried deeply into his chest, her small arms clutching his neck tightly.

It seemed it wouldn’t be easy to let her go.

So, Jeremiah carried the little one to his room, with Kyle and Mabel following.

Old Man May remained in the dining room, watching them leave, narrowing his eyes slightly, sensing that Kyle and Mabel Kinston were unusually "interested" in his nephew.

Could they really be looking to arrange a betrothal promise or something? But the child is still so young, and despite his nephew’s excellence, should the Kinston’s little Princess come of age, she’d have no shortage of remarkable suitors, even some extraordinary ones. Is it necessary to bind her so early?

Or is there something about his nephew, they find indispensable?

Old Man May fell into deep thought.

In Jeremiah’s room, Jeremiah turned to Kyle and Mabel, "Now, you can tell me."

"Have a seat first." Kyle smiled slightly, "Don’t you think it’d be better to chat sitting down?"
