"Dad." Kyle Kinston, who accompanied Mabel Quinn, also called out, seeing that his father-in-law looked quite spirited, which eased his mind.

"It’s convenient to just take a cab from the airport to here." Edward Quinn smiled, noticing his daughter’s complexion had improved significantly compared to before, making him feel more at ease.

These days, he spent every moment blaming himself, continuously thinking that if he had paid more attention back then, sent a few more people to pick up his granddaughter, or even gone himself, perhaps many things wouldn’t have happened.

But no matter how much he regretted, it was useless; his granddaughter was lost, and his daughter seemed soulless, her health declining day by day. Thinking about the little one she was carrying, Edward Quinn’s self-blame only intensified.

If Clover were still alive, would she also blame him? Blame him for not taking better care of their daughter, blame him for losing their granddaughter.

Just like that, amidst his growing self-blame, Edward Quinn’s own health began to deteriorate rapidly. Only upon hearing from his daughter that Ivy had been found, did his health start improving.

Even though the hospital advised him against long-distance travel due to his condition, he couldn’t care less about these warnings; he only wanted to come quickly and see his granddaughter.

"Where’s Ivy?" Edward Quinn asked urgently.

Mabel Quinn smiled slightly and replied, "She’s sleeping in the room upstairs."

"Take me to see her," Edward Quinn said, somewhat impatiently, as only when he truly sees his granddaughter can he be at ease.

Kyle Kinston glanced at Mr. May and said, "Then we’ll take my father-in-law to see Ivy first."

"Alright, I see Mr. Quinn came in such haste, eager to see his granddaughter early," Mr. May said with a smile.

Mabel Quinn supported her father while Kyle Kinston protected them from the side. Mr. May watched this family together, unexpectedly feeling a bit envious. If he and Clover had met and fallen in love earlier, then his child should be about this age now.

Suddenly, his eyes narrowed, and he spoke out, "By the way, Mr. Quinn, your name is... ’Edward Quinn,’ right? How is it written?"

"Edward from ’triumph,’ and Quinn from ’peak.’ Although Mr. May’s sudden question seemed a bit odd, Edward Quinn answered truthfully.

Mr. May smiled again, "A nice name." Yet in his eyes, a deeper, more complex emotion began to take shape.

When Edward Quinn and the other two went upstairs, Mr. May’s smile faded at the corners of his mouth. The character "peak" had always bothered him because the "peak" that Clover mentioned was indeed this character.

Originally, he only knew the sound "feng," but once, when Clover had one of her episodes, she wrote the character "peak" multiple times. So he learned that the "feng" was actually "peak."

Earlier, when he first saw Edward Quinn, although Edward had introduced himself, he didn’t think much of it; after all, there are countless names with the syllable "feng" in this world.

It was when he saw Mabel Quinn and Edward Quinn standing together that, somehow, a memory of Clover in her youth floated into his mind. It was as if Clover was standing next to this Edward Quinn.
