"That silly kid is actually the child of Kyle Kinston and Mabel Quinn," the relative chuckled, "in a way, the May Family has built a good connection, and I heard that the kid previously enjoyed staying with the May Family’s young master. Perhaps a future alliance between the two families isn’t out of the question."

The relative spoke while observing the other’s expression, noting their pale face, and felt even more smug. She was aware that Isabella Yowell planned for her daughter Mireille Yowell to get close to the May Family’s young master, hoping to use the May Family’s influence to smoothly take over everything from the Landon Family.

But in this world, nothing comes that easily.

The relative watched Grace Yowell’s uneasy demeanor and left satisfied.

Grace Yowell’s thoughts were in turmoil, stunned that the silly kid was actually Mabel Quinn’s daughter. Edward Quinn arrived at the May residence, appearing physically frail but his spirit was quite good, able to walk without needing support.

Old Mr. May, informed of Edward Quinn’s visit by the servant, naturally asked the servant to invite the guest in and greet him.

The two men met in the May family living room.

"Hello, I am Edward Quinn, Mabel’s father. Thank you for taking care of my daughter’s family," Edward expressed his gratitude.

"I’m Theodora May. It wasn’t really taking care, you’re too kind," the older May said, surprised as he assessed the man before him. Clearly, this father of Mabel Quinn surpassed his expectations in appearance, seeming youthful, though there was a hint of illness on his face, suggesting poor health.

"Please have a seat, Mr. Quinn," Theodora May said, inviting Edward to sit on the sofa and instructed the servant to make tea and call down Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston.

Edward sat down, and while Mr. May was sizing him up, Edward was also assessing the master of the May residence. On the way here, Edward gathered some information, learning about the unwed life of the May residence owner and his care for his only nephew.

The May Family stood as a significant force in F City, having invested in the film industry in recent years and profited substantially.

The two men exchanged pleasantries, and soon Mabel rushed over. Upon seeing her father’s figure, she immediately called out, "Dad, why didn’t you tell me you were coming earlier? I would’ve picked you up from the airport."

Previously, her father only mentioned on the phone to come soon, and Mabel assumed he’d come in a few days, not expecting he had already arrived at the May residence.
