Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 1569 - 1610: What Should Be Done
So he asked again, which characters are in Edward Quinn’s name, and this question shocked him even more.
"Feng"... it was "Feng," the same character Clover once wrote.
Mr. May walked back to the room. On the bedside of his room, there was a photo, with a woman in it. The woman looked approximately 26 or 27 years old, quietly sitting on a sofa, gazing straight at the camera, though her eyes seemed a bit hollow.
It was as if, to her, there was nothing in this world that was worth lingering for.
If Edward Quinn were here, he would definitely recognize that the woman in the photo was Clover.
Mr. May’s fingers gently stroked the photo frame, with a hint of contemplation in his eyes. Could it be a coincidence? Edward Quinn’s name has the character "Feng," and his daughter, Mabel Quinn, bears some resemblance to Clover.
If it truly were a coincidence, it would be too much of one.
But if it’s not... could Edward Quinn be the man who abandoned Clover back then? Was it Edward Quinn who drove Clover mad? Made her go through hell and back, and even become insane?
And is Mabel Quinn truly Clover’s daughter?
In an instant, Mr. May felt overwhelmed, though finding out whether it’s true or not was simple, just ask directly or have a parentage test between Mabel Quinn and Clover to find out.
But, if it were so... If Edward Quinn appeared before Clover, what would happen to Clover? Would she lose her sanity even more, or would Edward Quinn’s appearance cure her madness?
That "Feng"... was someone Clover remembered her whole life. Whenever Clover went mad, "Feng" was all that filled her eyes; everyone else was "Feng" in her eyes.
If Edward Quinn truly is that "Feng," I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep Clover by my side.
A lifetime of silent protection, he can endure, but can he bear to see Clover with another man who hurt her deeply?
At this moment, Mr. May, always decisive in dealing with matters, found himself at a loss.
————
Edward Quinn followed his daughter and son-in-law and met his granddaughter in the May Family’s guest room. The little one lay on the bed, sleeping like a little angel, looking so pure and serene.
Edward Quinn’s eyes couldn’t help but moisten as he cautiously approached the little one, afraid of waking her.
"Her... injury, where is it? Is it severe?" Edward Quinn asked eagerly. Being affected by such an explosion, she must have been badly hurt, and previously his daughter had been vague over the phone, only saying Ivy had some head injury, but now he couldn’t see any wound on his granddaughter’s head.
Mabel Quinn figured her father would eventually notice Ivy’s head injury, so she gently brushed aside the little one’s bangs to show him the scar.
Edward Quinn immediately gasped, such a scar made it clear how serious an injury the child must have sustained back then.
"Dad, this was because the child’s wound wasn’t treated properly back then, which is why it looks scary. A few days later, we’ll take Ivy to get the scar on her forehead treated again. She’s still young, once the scar is treated, it shouldn’t be noticeable when she grows up." Mabel said quickly, trying to prevent her father from blaming himself further.
