Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife

Chapter 1551 - 1592: Somewhat Similar

Mabel Quinn felt another pang in her heart at these words. If her daughter’s brain hadn’t been injured and she hadn’t turned silly, even if she did lose her memory, she might have understood the conversation just now, rather than being completely lost as she was now.

Kyle Kinston gently patted his wife’s shoulder, "Don’t be too anxious. Since we’ve found our daughter, we’ll have plenty of time to teach her what she doesn’t understand in the future. As for her treatment, we can get her the best examinations. She’s still young, she can definitely be cured."

Mabel’s expression finally brightened a little, "Yes, there’s plenty of time later on, we can take it slow, take it slow..." She would protect her daughter, accompany her, and teach Ivy many things she originally knew, or maybe things she didn’t know yet.

"Alright, let me hold Ivy. You sit down and rest for a while, your body isn’t the same as before, particularly since you had a fainting spell earlier," Kyle said.

Mabel knew her current physical condition wasn’t very good, so she handed her daughter to Kyle and sat on the sofa beside her.

It was Atlas Shaw who, upon hearing this, quickly approached and asked, "You fainted?"

Mabel replied, "Previously, when asking the villagers in the village, I heard them say Ivy had gone silly, and I was a bit shocked, so I fainted, but I’m fine now."

"That’s good to hear," Atlas Shaw said with a sigh of relief.

It wasn’t until this moment that Mabel finally turned her gaze to Mr. May and Jeremiah May, who had long been in the living room. After all, her attention had been entirely on her daughter before.

But when her eyes met Mr. May’s gaze, she was taken aback because he was looking at her with a very focused expression, one that seemed as if he was reminiscing about something.

"Mr. May, I’m sorry. I got too emotional just now," Mabel said.

"It’s nothing, this is only human nature," Mr. May replied. "I’m happy that you were able to find your daughter. To tell you the truth, Mrs. Kinston looks a bit like a friend of mine, so I’m glad to help you."

To Mr. May, Ivy did resemble Mrs. Li somewhat, but now, looking at Mrs. Kinston, she seemed to resemble the young Mrs. Li even more. Seeing Mrs. Kinston caused a sense of nostalgia in him, as if time had rewound.

However, when he composed himself again, he realized that Mrs. Kinston only bore some resemblance and did not resemble her greatly. Or perhaps it was because Clover occupied such a large place in his heart that whenever he saw a woman bearing some resemblance, he would associate her with Clover.

"If the two of you don’t mind, I suggest staying here tonight," Mr. May said, turning his gaze to Kyle Kinston. He had naturally heard many rumors about this influential figure in Falling City, but today was the first time they met in person.

"That would certainly be the best," Kyle replied, accepting Mr. May’s kind offer, although he then looked at his daughter in his arms with a somewhat complex expression. He wondered whether she would be willing to stay with them tonight, given that to her, they were still strangers.

"Ivy, would you like to sleep with Mommy and Daddy tonight?" Kyle asked the little one.
