Dungeon Miner Slave
DMS Chapter 252
A lot of the children and young people in the compound had become extremely active, running around as fast as they could, as if they were in their own worlds, living out their fantastical adventures.
The fact that they had their own wind elemental catering to everything they wanted to do, even allowing them to briefly fly through the air, added to their magical adventures. Even some of the older ones who were on the cusp of adulthood sometimes behaved childishly enough to join in on the fun.
Their parents and guardians watched them with smiles on their faces and a sense of nostalgic regret, as if they, too, would have wanted to experience a magical place when they were young.
It was understandable. Watching the children fly around the compound, combined with the astonishing beauty of the place, gave them a sense of wonder about what Neverland must have been like.
One of the older parents once mentioned that they were a little astonished that most of the children had forgotten about their tablets.
Basically, most of the kids belonged to the iPad generation and couldn’t function without holding their tablets for a few minutes. Yet now, all of them were actively playing outside.
It also helped that Flinx’s friends who had the transmigration system had become extremely generous when providing whatever their family members wanted, as if they were trying to compensate them for uprooting them from Earth and bringing them to another world.
Because of that, their towers were filled to the brim with everything a modern person from Earth could want, and the children among them enjoyed all the toys they could ask for.
Thankfully, the electricity network that the members of their group who were experts in such things had set up using generators and solar panels was enough to power all the equipment that required electricity.
It did, however, rack up a huge bill for generator fuel.
Thankfully, even though it was autumn, the solar panels helped reduce the cost of electricity generation by utilizing magic items that produced Light Magic.
Light Magic was one of the easiest spells to apply to items, and his friends managed to purchase a lot of such items. Surprisingly, Light Magic was able to generate solar energy that their solar-panel system could convert into electricity.
Flinx’s friends’ family members had started teaching the servants assigned to them how to use the electrical equipment for various tasks. There were vacuum cleaners for cleaning floors and walls, washers and dryers for cleaning clothes, dishwashers for washing dishes, and more.
All of the local servants treated those machines as magical items.
The children’s toys were scattered all over the place, and the only reason people didn’t trip over them was that Flinx had tasked one of the elementals with gathering them and placing them in a designated area beside Pondy. Lost toys were placed there whenever night arrived.
In truth, Flinx could have used summons such as Tiny Servants, Invisible Servants, and more elementals to maintain the entire place, but Olivia had warned him against it.
She told him that the servants would feel insecure if spells and magical servants started taking their jobs, to the point that they might worry about being let go.
The only tower that didn’t have any cleaning equipment was Flinx’s.
Renewing the Galder’s Tower spell was enough to clean his tower, while Prestidigitation was enough to clean everything else. He didn’t even buy himself a refrigerator because everything he wanted to eat or drink was purchased directly from his System Shopping Site, aside from the things provided by the servants.
In truth, Flinx was one of the few among them who didn’t use the services of the servants.
Flinx was highly amused when he learned that Olivia’s tower was also filled to the brim with modern gadgets, including entertainment devices such as a widescreen television, DVD players with thousands of movies, game consoles with hundreds of game discs, and music players with hundreds of music albums.
The only issue was that Olivia, Christopher, and Ambrose couldn’t enjoy them without the use of the Tongue spell. They had purchased the equipment from Flinx’s friend using gold coins.
What astonished Flinx was that Olivia and her two brothers had managed to obtain a magic item that allowed them to cast the Tongue spell.
By early evening, all of the delving groups had returned, and everyone was excited.
Flinx was simply grateful that all of them had returned in one piece.
Flinx and the non-delvers were surprised to learn that the delvers had completed the fifth floor of the Dungeon of Mara twice.
“My team didn’t even suffer the slightest injury at all,” Paul said during the meeting in the meeting hall, where everyone was present, including all of the family members.
“Flinx’s earth elemental was powerful enough to tank all of the dungeon monsters by itself, and the wind elemental was extremely fast and could catch up to any dungeon monsters that slipped past Rocky. Windy would kill any monsters that got near us, and it was the same for all of the groups,” Samuel said.
Since the delvers were the ones who killed all of the dungeon monsters, while Flinx’s elementals were assigned to either tank them or kill the few that managed to get close to the delvers, the experience points they earned were enough to push everyone to level two.
Although the mana stones they earned were all low-level mana stones, they were enough to show that dungeon delving that day had been lucrative.
Since they all felt that delving through the fifth floor of the Dungeon of Mara had been extremely easy with the help of Flinx’s two elementals, they decided to enter the tenth floor of the dungeon the next day.
“Isn’t that dangerous? The tenth floor would have a boss monster,” Flinx said, which immediately made his friends’ family members worried.
“I don’t know if you’ve realized this, Flinx, but your elementals are too overpowered. Just one of them alone could probably finish the fifth floor in less than thirty minutes,” Mark said.
“Yes. The only reason we earned tons of experience points was that we didn’t just let the elementals tank the monsters and damage them. We were the ones who killed the dungeon monsters, except for the few that Windy killed to make sure each of us was safe,” Oscar added.
Because the fifth floor of the Dungeon of Mara had been so easy with the help of Flinx’s elementals, they continued with their plan to enter the tenth floor of the dungeon the next day.
Once they had the results of the next day’s delve, they would decide whether to move deeper.
The bad news was that those among them who didn’t have a class still hadn’t received one, despite the several tests they had conducted.
When Flinx asked what kind of tests they had performed, they told him that they had allowed those without classes to kill dungeon monsters using all types of melee weapons and even spells from magic items.
That meant the only way for them to receive a class was to follow the same process the locals used, which meant joining local organizations such as the Mage Guild and other groups. Otherwise, they would have to wait until one of those who possessed the transmigration system had leveled up enough to cast the Wish spell.
In truth, those who didn’t have a class would have preferred to have what the former Dungeon Miner Slaves possessed: the transmigration system.
Currently, the only thing that could grant them that system was the Wish spell of the Wizard class.
Unfortunately, it would take a long time for Flinx’s friends to reach Wizard level nine. Another issue was the cost of casting the spell.
Once access to the transmigration system was granted to any of Flinx’s friends’ family members, both the Wish spell and the spell slot used to cast it would go on cooldown, probably for years.
