Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4520: Prospects

Chapter 4520: Prospects

Celestia walked out, her gracious yet voluminous figure clad in a purple robe. Her beautiful face was hidden behind a black veil. Her hair flowed like a starry purple waterfall. Two thin strands, resembling braids or drills, fell over her shoulders, giving her a luxurious appearance. Accentuating her face, a pair of sapphire pearls adorned her eyes.

Celestia carefully scanned her surroundings, her gaze sweeping over the area until she spotted Eterna. Without hesitation, she strode towards Eterna as if drawn by instinct, her posture relaxed yet yet ready to take flight.

*Bzzz~*

Her aura burst forth, converging atop Eterna in an attempt to suppress her.

Eterna’s lips curled into a forceful smile.

Fire phoenix flames blazed out of her in the form of wings. She instantly retreated and formed a scarlet barrier that surged like a heart-shaped embrace.

Celestia smirked and punched out with her fist.

Inside Celestia, the King-Tier Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon’s power surged. Golden earth martial energy gathered around her fists as she drew on this strength, focusing it for a decisive strike.

*Bang!~*

Celestia’s punch shattered the heart-shaped flaming barrier in a violent explosion. As the flames dispersed, Eterna immediately countered by descending from above with a swift, forceful kick directed at Celestia.

Celestia raised her free arm in time, bracing as Eterna’s fiery kick collided with it. The meeting of the two forces sent a wave of heat and light erupting outward, resembling lava spewing from a volcano.

*Boom!~*

Celestia swung her arm, tossing Eterna aside, then dashed forward to continue the assault. Unyielding, Eterna parried and attacked in turn, battling fiercely even as Celestia’s mounting pressure threatened to overwhelm her.

Ralaza Heavenshade and the others felt incredulous.

These two little children, born just a little over a decade ago, were now actually capable of battling them. They were the highest supreme geniuses of the Azure Dragon Upper Realm. They knew Eterna and Celestia were not like their father because they were not Divergents. For them to reach this level, particularly Celestia, would be a major event in the Upper Realms.

Moreover, they were both women.

It was a given that many powers would try to recruit them by bowing their heads or using shady ways if they didn’t have a backer.

Davis reappeared at the entrance of the palace, standing beside Myria. Evelynn and Tia also appeared beside them.

They smiled, watching the two sisters battle. They were always competitive when it came to martial prowess, and this time around, it was plain to see Eterna was losing.

However, Eterna was taking it good. There was only excitement in her eyes to see the day when she surpasses Celestia again using her battle prowess, but mainly wits and skills. After all, she could never compare to a dragon in terms of pure brute force.

"This time around, the supreme geniuses are far more powerful due to the resources found in the secret realm. The Greater Realm’s supreme geniuses are pouring in as well. The monsters from the other galaxies are making their way here as well. Should we have given diluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pills to them to increase their prowess?" Tia asked.

"Maybe..." Davis said half-heartedly, sighing, "I was about to give them back then, but Viridia and Azariel left upon becoming stronger, so I felt it was dangerous. Eterna is even more willful than the two of them, so she will clearly leave while thinking she is going to have the most wonderful journey in the world."

"I can imagine that~" Tia giggled, "So how many are left?

Davis switched to soul transmission, "You brought back two Gilded Realm Ascendant Pills of Minor Realm from the Azure Trees, which I used one to dilute. Tina was absolutely incredible. She actually created six pills out of one, so I was able to share it with Edward, Azariel, Viridia, Esmond Stavenger, and Father. As for the last two, I gave one to Esmond Stavenger, the Whispering Wildlands Realm Master, as promised, and left the other in Isabella’s care in case Mira needed it."

"The rest of it, including the one undiluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill from Zenflame, is still with me."

"Oh? We can bring them here?"

"Yeah," Davis chuckled. "The Gilded Realm Ascendant Pills of Minor Realm are utmost, heavenly, extreme, top-tier Immortal Emperor Grade Pills by the looks of it. Or, they are not restricted by the Elemental Dimension for some reason."

Tia narrowed her brows. She thought the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pills were Empyrean Grade Pills, so they could not bring them here, but it was possible that they were not restricted here. After all, she knew the tiny spirits inside the Realm Cores that Calypsea described were most likely from the Elemental Dimension.

She didn’t say anything but nodded, knowing this topic shouldn’t be breached carelessly.

Evelynn and Myria also listened, contemplating the meaning of it.

However, Evelynn turned to look at the Heavenshades, her gaze falling on Rath Heavenshade.

"Husband, do you think that Rath Heavenshade is a suitable candidate for Celestia? His mannerisms are good, his heart is righteous, and he also knows how to differentiate good and evil. His prowess is most likely the greatest of all the youngsters in the Upper Realms except Riaz Heavenshade, so I think he could be worthy."

Davis raised his brows. As a mother, Evelynn had already looked out for suitable candidates. He nodded, "His character is good and he acts rampant to have fun, but is levelheaded. His defeat in my hands brought him to be even more levelheaded but less courageous. But more than these factors... I heard he has like thirty wives last time. It must’ve increased recently."

"Never mind then." Evelynn nearly rolled her eyes, feeling like her time was wasted.

She wanted a candidate who had no wives- no intimacy to begin with. She knew such characters would be in the minority, and even if they were present, it was unlikely they could match up to someone like Rath Heavenshade, which left them with the only move- homegrown grooms.

However, she didn’t want someone homegrown either, since they would lack the guts Davis has from being nurtured in a tough environment. She wanted grooms who could still challenge Davis, or at least have the heart to challenge Davis, but stay in line.

"..." Davis inwardly gawked, sensing a plethora of emotions from Evelynn. It seems like she was greatly disappointed. He guessed her requirements should be crazy!

Regardless, this wasn’t the first time they talked about their children’s marriage since the elder sisters were getting bigger and entering adulthood. Marrying them at a young age wasn’t necessarily good, but they were afraid that their children wouldn’t be able to find the right partners and end up with someone wrong instead.

It had already happened with Azariel, where he was wronged, so Evelynn was extra careful with the other children’s lives. However, she still acted like she didn’t know Azariel’s love story so that he wouldn’t feel embarrassed.

At this moment, perhaps sensing their gaze, Rath Heavenshade appeared before them.

He cupped his hands, looking at them with a hint of determination in his eyes before he opened his mouth.

"Forgive my rudeness, Divine Emperor of Death. Is it possible for you to sell the King-Tier Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon’s remaining blood essence to us? I can offer three High-Level Primarch Grade resources for it, except the spatial-attributed one."

"Oh?" Davis looked astonished, "That is indeed a big and worthwhile offer to consider."

Rath Heavenshade nodded, "The Azure Dragon’s blood is great for many things, including inscribing inscriptions and creating talismans. Their Will imposes on the heaven and earth to have a great effect and impose it on the world through the formation. The Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon’s blood, in theory, should be even more overpowered due to their ability to use Mandate Laws."

"Furthermore, using the corpse as materials for formations is like giving a human wings. By activating the innate runes in the bones and core, the formations will be able to harness their uniqueness. A dragon’s corpse is always a high-grade material when it comes to offense, defense, and even support. It will be of great use to our Azure Dragon Clan, so I am willing to offer two more High-Level Primarch Grade resources for everything."

Davis chuckled with surprise, "It seems like the Heavenshades are quite rich at the moment."

Rath Heavenshade could only wryly smile, "Please- we could only concentrate on retrieving higher quality resources while your wives practically plundered everything right out of our sight. I suspect they have ten times more than what we have at any point in time."

"Then you should know Primarch Grade resources are starting to lose value to me."

Rath Heavenshade smiled wryly. That was true, but he didn’t think it was completely true.
