Chapter 4519: Celestia's Bloodline Breakthrough
Chapter 4519: Celestia’s Bloodline Breakthrough
Celestia trembled.
Davis and Myria sat behind her diagonally, their palms over her back as they controlled the powerful blood from causing devastation in Celestia’s body.
As the crimson-gold blood essence slithered into Celestia’s veins, her body convulsed under the sheer force of the draconic essence. She didn’t control the path of the flow since her parents were helping her, but she endured the pain that came with the blood infusing in her body.
Her brows twitched, her fingers clawing into the palms she held as she sat upon the cultivation cushion. Every drop of the Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon’s King-Tier blood was like molten fire, burning her from the inside with an overpowering vitality that sought to rewrite her very being.
It was overpowering like a tyrant. She couldn’t believe her father fought and won something like that when all he displayed towards them was a smiling face or a goofy expression most of the time.
The blood essence surged with violence, causing tremendous undulations to explode from her body.
*BOOM!~*
A terrifying Will burst forth.
Celestia turned aghast, her expression pale.
She could feel this Will was indomitable, as though it was ancient, beyond regal, and extremely dominant. She had never felt something like this, making her heart palpitate faster with fear that she tried to withstand.
The phantom image of a colossal Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon roared behind Celestia, looming high above the soul sea. Its scales shimmered in brilliant gold streaked with obsidian veins, and its five claws crackled with power as it dived forward with its maw wide open. The Will attempted to plunge into Celestia’s soul imprint, trying to evoke her deepest fears and force her to submit.
Her breathing turned ragged. Her heart pounded like a war drum.
She felt her consciousness slipping, her spirit being pulled toward something abyssal. The phantom dragon’s roar reverberated through her mind, whispering of destruction, domination, and commanding subservience. It wasn’t only mental but also physical. Her skin cracked faintly with blood lines from the sheer pressure, her soul almost on the verge of being forced into retreat.
Yet she gritted her teeth and held on.
She thought of her mother, Isabella, who could be currently stranded in some High-Level Shard Region.
She thought of Davis and Myria behind her, who were doing their best to help her subdue this Will.
She thought of her own strength and the path she had walked to this point, which was extremely easy. This was the first challenged she even counted as a challenge, causing her to explode with her own Will.
“I will not be consumed!”
Her soul echoed, battling against the Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon’s Will.
The phantom dragon abruptly paused mid-roar, its majestic form trembling.
However, it was not because of Celestia.
Two pairs of eyes… appeared.
Behind Celestia, behind the manifested dragon phantom, gazing calmly and unblinkingly.
They were a haunting black and white, one pair belonging to Davis, the other to Myria, yet something far deeper and unfathomably ancient was reflected in them.
Davis’s pupils spiraled like twin voids that hinted at reincarnation and destruction, while Myria’s gleamed with crystalline stillness of stasis and death, as though time itself had frozen in reverence because of their combined gazes. Those twin pairs of eyes carried a sovereign weight, an authority beyond that that did not just challenge the dragon’s Will, but also judged it.
The phantom dragon recoiled. It seemed to have some recollection of deep fear towards them.
Its draconic majesty faltered. It suddenly curled inwards, its aura withdrawing and folding upon itself. No longer did it scream in dominance. Instead, it seemed to bow its head slightly, its eyes glancing cautiously at the two who stared through it.
It didn’t dare to release its full fury anymore.
The blood essence became more docile, as though partially subdued by the threat behind those watching eyes, even after they disappeared. Its overwhelming nature still tested Celestia’s willpower, but it no longer tried to break her spirit.
Celestia panted, her back soaked in sweat. But with that suppression, she gradually gained more control and was able to endure the pain much better. The draconic blood coursed through her veins like rivers of divine liquid metal, burning away impurities, refining her organs, and strengthening her physique.
Veins lit up like crimson lightning under her skin. Her meridians expanded and evolved. Her soul essence flickered, then blazed brighter.
A noble yet untamed dragon’s roar echoed faintly within her body.
In the distance, the Heavenshade Clan’s supreme geniuses could only watch with clenched fists. Particularly, Raquaz Heavenshade felt dejected. He thought he had reached the peak by becoming an Emperor-Tier Azure Dragon, and no one could match him. After witnessing Barakiel, he still didn’t lose hope, as one day, when he reached the Exalt Beast Stage, he would have a chance to become a King-Tier Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon.
He would enjoy a powerful status in the Azure Dragon Clans and eventually become a part of the Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon Clan in the Celestial Transcendent Greater Realm. After all, some of them did evolve to become Five-Clawed Imperial Dragons. Naturally, there would be a clan in the Greater Realm, and even though the numbers would not even reach fifty, he was interested in joining and ruling over them as a King-Tier Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon.
However, a single human broke that sense of pride, and his second daughter also broke that dragon’s Will to assimilate the blood.
He was… disillusioned. The grand image of a Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon no longer seemed as big as before.
Even amongst the Grand Ancestral Beast Rank, Five-Clawed Imperial Dragons were monarchs among monarchs. The act of devouring that Will without losing one’s sense of self was proof of worthiness in his perspective.
And Celestia, the second daughter of the Divine Emperor of Death, was proving herself worthy to be a Human Empress among the dragons!
“Kaaah!~”
Eterna bit Lucian on the shoulder, crying that Celestia left her in the dust with this one session.
Lucian could only cry as his elder sister abused him. However, he saw that her eyes were moist, causing him to blink as he stopped acting and consoled her.
It seemed like Eterna really did not want to be left out. After all, now she was the weakest of the three.
“Don’t worry. We’ll find a Prismatic Soul Phoenix. I’m sure one is here somewhere. If we capture one, I’ll cook for you. I have confidence in my cooking skills.”
Lucian grinned as he lit a golden flame at the tip of his finger.
Eterna blinked at him before she giggled, wiping her moist eyes, “If you do that, you will extinguish all the nutrients in the meat because of the destruction property, silly little brother.”
“Ah… you’re right.” Lucian smiled gently.
The two of them then went to talk to the Heavenshades to gather information on the whereabouts of the phoenixes from the Divine Phoenix Galaxy.
After some time, Celestia stood up.
Her white porcelain skin was as flawless as ever. She shed no impurities, her body at the extreme limit of immortal purity. However, her aura had undergone a change, and her sapphire eyes possessed a golden glint when she moved her energy within the soul.
She raised her fist, feeling a tremendous surge of might gathering at the forefront of her fingers.
“Congratulations, my little Celestia.”
Celestia turned to look at him, her gaze suspicious.
“Father, did you do something other than suppress the power of the blood essence coursing through my veins?”
“No, I didn’t do anything.” Davis blinked, looking all innocent.
“…” Celestia was speechless. She could instantly tell that was a lie, but she didn’t berate him.
“Thank you, Father. If you decided that was impossible for me to overcome, then I will abide by it.”
“No, it wasn’t impossible for you to overcome it. Only, it would take days. We don’t have time to spare. Furthermore, if your Will even as much as fractures, there’s a high chance you will become horny even if you succeed, since you would fail to control the explosion of yang in the blood.”
“…” Celestia’s brows lifted.
Myria eyed Davis. There was no need to have said that. If it happened, they were there to stop it. She turned to look at Celestia and continued.
“More than anything, the owner of this blood essence is still alive, so its Will is many times greater than a dead dragon’s Will. Even if you tick all the boxes, it could still forcefully impose its Will on you at the most vulnerable time, like when you’re gravely injured. That’s why we needed to teach the Will a lesson and make it cower so it will never think of rising up again. When you rise up in stages, you will finally conquer it. After all, a magical beast’s Will doesn’t necessarily conform to its stage. When it’s out of the body, bloodline karma will also allow it to project its Ancestors’ Will when it is on the verge of being devoured by some other being.”
“Oh… many thanks, mother Myria.” Celestia cupped her hands, bowing.
“Good child.” Myria nodded, “Now go and bully Eterna.”
“Mother Myria…?” Celestia blinked.
“You-” Myria turned to look at Davis.
“Pfft-hahaha!”
Davis disappeared, his laughter spreading throughout the palace after he played a trick using his Illusion Laws and superimposing a fake Myria over Myria’s figure.
