Melissa returned with the Merfolk without any more problems, Eve arrived soon after, all that was left was to assign them a place to live.

They couldn’t live on land, unlike in the fairytales, the merfolk didn’t have the ability to grow legs.

" So where should we place them?" Annie asked Adrian.

Adrian didn’t raise his head, on his hand was a small silver clock, the clock appeared unstable as if it would disappear anytime.

He shrugged, " I’ll leave that to you." He answered without looking at her, Annie shook her head.

" You’ve been playing with that thing since we came back, you still can’t get a hang of it?"

Adrian didn’t answer, he needed all the attention he had to make this clock, ’ This is harder than I expected.’

He wrapped the clock in a bubble of his lunar esper and placed it on the table, " I’m exhausted." He whispered.

" I can tell, now go take a shower, we have a meeting to attend."

Adrian raised his eyebrows, " A meeting? What meeting? Why is it my first time hearing anything about that?"

Annie sighed and covered with her face with her hand, " Did you really think we would integrate an entire race without meeting their representative?"

Adrian shrugged," We’ve already met that princess haven’t we, why do we need to do that again?" He was really not in the mood.

Annie shook her head, " Go shower Adrian, I’ll join you."

" Yes ma’am." Adrian basically skipped to the shower, Annie joined him, two hours later they were in the throne room.

Both were dressed in expensive fabric that shimmered with the stars of an endless cosmos.

On their heads were silver crowns that gave off power to intimidate kings themselves. Adrian’s crown was larger.

Annie’s crown looked more like a tiara but it was not to be underestimated, the amount of esper it had was staggering.

" Presenting, King Atlantis and Queen Atalear of Atlantis!" Shouted Suzie, the doors opened wide revealing the king of queen of the merfolk.

The king was a giant standing nearly 5 metres tall, his lower body was covered in bluish green scales.

Blue hair cascaded down his back like a dancing waterfall, on his right hand was a long golden trident.

Next to him was his queen, smaller in statue, about the size of a human with long pink and cyan coloured hair.

She was covered in pinkish scales, her beauty almost rivalled that of their daughter, they approached the thrones.

Since they couldn’t walk they were floating on a bubble of water, they stopped below the stairs leading to the two thrones and bowed.

" Raise your heads." Said Annie, they looked up and gulped, this was the first time they’ve seen people so beautiful.

The merfolk prided themselves in their beauty but next to these two, they felt like frogs next to swans.

" We greet you king and queen of the wolves." Said the king of Atlantis in a deep voice.

" I am Atlantis the 6th, this is my queen, Atalear, it is our honour to meet you at last." He tried to sound as respectful as he could.

Atlantis had felt and seen the power of one of the werewolves but compared to these two.

He felt Melissa might as well be a child, especially compared to the king before them.

Adrian’s silence made Atlantis nervous and when his eyes met Adrian’s cold silver gaze, his body shivered.

He felt a cold beyond that of the bottom of the sea, Adrian did not notice any of that, his mind was elsewhere.

’ I already know the patterns so why is creating that weapon so hard? This is frustrating.

Should I ask Annie, her reality manipulation should be able to help right? No, while she can do it, its power will be limited.

I want to make a weapon I can merge with the wheel which will grow alongside me, not something I’ll have to abandon soon after.’

Adrian felt a force hit his mind like a speeding truck. ’ Get your mind back to where it belongs.’ he heard Annie’s angry voice.

Adrian finally turned his attention to the two merfolk below them, ’ I don’t get what this farce is about.

We’ve already agreed to letting them stay, just find a location and dump them there, easy.’

Annie sighed but that gesture made the two nervous, they couldn’t hear the pack call between the two.

" Alright we’ve decided, your people will leave in the sea near the beach, while its not as deep as the ocean you lived in.

It’s close to the pack and will allow us to watch over you and ensure nobody touches your people.

In exchange, you will give all the scales you shed to the pack, is that acceptable to you?" Asked Annie.

Atlantis and his wife could barely control their joy, the relief in their eyes was apparent for all to see.

" Thank you your highnesses, we’ll make sure to live up to your expectations." Although he was king himself, Atlantis lowered himself.

He accepted that his rulership was over, he couldn’t even protect his own people, what right did he have to call himself king.

The merfolk were settled at sea near the pack, members of Sbu and Bred’s lineages were stationed out at sea.

Adrian casually built artificial islands with plants and everything to act as guard posts in case anybody attacked from sea.

Just like that, two years went by, the sins were quiet, even the newly released sloth did not reveal themselves.

Or maybe they were just too lazy to even bother, it would be strange for sloth to take the effort to do anything.

As for the remaining two horsemen, there were no news of them but Adrian had a strange feeling he couldn’t shake off.

He knew something huge was comic soon but he couldn’t tell exactly what, he told Annie this who passed it to Meggie.

Meggie used divination and the results were unclear even to her.

" I could tell you for a little price." Said the fairy mother to Meggie who ignored her. Meggie was trying to rely on the fairy mother as little as possible.

She knew addictive having somebody grant you wishes was, that was how fairies trapped people.

They start by asking small prices until you get addicted then things escalate and Meggie was not having that.

When her normal divination did not work, she went a darker route. Sacrificial divination magic.

This required sacrificing a living sentient being like a human or Fayera, finding a Fayera was not hard.

She couldn’t leave her hut but she had contacts outside. A dark witch brought her a criminal as requested.

Meggie drained the man’s blood into a bowl then used her magic, finally she saw clearly what was hidden to her.

Meggie sighed, " It’s too soon."
