Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!
Chapter 772: Offering Up His Pure Body
Lynn slapped a fresh plum blossom paw print onto the paper, reasoning with heartfelt sincerity:
"I know it's a bit embarrassing to ask this of you, but if Nightfall City falls, everyone will be heartbroken, and there'll be no more Big Black Cat for you to pet. Even if you wanted to write something new, you'd definitely be disturbed. That would be very disadvantageous for you too!"
[The Big Black Cat tried to move the iron-hearted quill with his pleas, but it was completely useless.]
Lynn grew anxious.
Finally, he said with great humiliation:
"I'm willing to offer up my pure, chaste body for your amusement. For the next month, I can stay by your side, Writer Sister, every single day. No matter how you toy with my body, I'll cooperate without a single complaint. What do you say?"
There was no doubt that Lynn had truly pulled out all the stops this time.
Being fondled by an unseen voluptuous older sister... to save Nightfall City, to save the thousands upon thousands of innocent colleagues within the city, he, Lynn, could endure any hardship!

The quill visibly paused for a moment, then swiftly scribbled out another passage.[The Big Black Cat tried to use his body to tempt the steadfast quill. It was indeed a very tempting offer, being able to pet him at will... but the quill still suppressed this wicked impulse and gave the Big Black Cat a stern lesson.]
THWACK—
Lynn's head took a direct hit from the quill's shaft.
Though it seemed gentle and carried little force, when that light feather landed on his head, he still felt his entire body buzz. Even his soul resonated with a deep rumble, and those strange thoughts in his mind were, under the quill's light tap, smacked into nothingness.

And with that, Lynn was completely out of options. He stood stiffly on the desk, motionless, the entire cat resembling a sculpture.
Clearly.
From the attitude she displayed, one could tell she clearly didn't want to get involved in this matter. And indeed, for such an eerie, uncanny existence like herself, whatever happened to Nightfall City was truly meaningless to her.
She bore no responsibility, nor had she established any sense of connection.
Lynn was at his wit's end.
He paced back and forth anxiously, leaving one plum blossom paw print after another on the desk. Finally, in the next moment, he decided to stop wasting time. He turned to leap off the desk and rush back.
But just then, he saw the quill resting on the paper move once more.
[Of course, the quill isn't truly steadfast either. She is still very curious about and fond of the Big Black Cat. But fondness alone isn't enough to make the quill take action, because the quill has her own troubles. She cannot casually do things that would greatly impact history.]
Lynn froze instantly.
But the quill continued writing at its unhurried pace.
[However, the quill can make a small deal with the Big Black Cat. Because she is truly too curious about him, if it's a trade, then paying some price seems acceptable, doesn't it?]
Then, under Lynn's eager gaze, the book beside the quill, "The Black Cat's Adventures: Cursed City Chapter," flipped open on its own with a rustle, though no wind stirred.
From the black cat's journey to the Cursed City, to the struggles between the mechanical toys and the little octopuses, to the black cat's battle against the mechanical bugs, and finally to the moment the giant mechanical lizard appeared, the pages abruptly stopped mid-flip.
Lynn immediately saw that the section there was completely blank.
The time node recorded there corresponded exactly to the period when Miss Puppet risked her life to save him, and he went mad before collapsing unconscious.
The ink trail ended abruptly at the moment he fell to the ground, the violet magic circle slowly spreading beneath his feet.
As if due to some special reason.
It was unable to continue writing the story from there.
The quill paused, then descended onto that blank page, and a line of elegant handwriting materialized before Lynn's eyes.
[Now let the cat take up the pen. Because if blank chapters cannot be filled, the story becomes meaningless. So, does the cat accept this trade?]
And almost at the same moment.
A system prompt sounded in Lynn's ear.
[Ding! You have triggered a quest: Completion of the Chapters]
[Quest Introduction]: The mysterious quill seems to have been recording your experiences all along. Perhaps out of curiosity, perhaps for other reasons. But due to some unknown factors, she has been unable to finish the story she's writing. Several breaks have appeared within it that she cannot write through, so she needs you to fill in the blank chapters in a certain sense.
[Quest Reward]: Quill Affinity +30, Unknown Influence +1, the quill will decide to provide you with one instance of assistance x1.
Hearing the quest prompt ring out.
Lynn remained stiff, but a storm was brewing in his mind.
Because it was truly strange. He could tell that those blank chapters corresponded precisely to the key moments when that eerie violet power had emerged from his body.
He suspiciously flipped through the later chapters of the book.
It wasn't just that one spot.
Nearly every major moment when that strange power surged within him was marked by large blank sections in the book. Additionally, the scene he witnessed when charging into Hell's Borderlands alongside the Colossus's Brain also showed varying degrees of gaps.
Was it... that she couldn't write them?
Lynn also noticed that in the system's rewards, an entry for [Unknown Influence] had appeared for the first time.
Meaning, the decision he made now could very likely produce influences in the future that were either good or bad. Was that how it should be understood?
"Can't you write it yourself?" Lynn asked tentatively.
The quill remained completely still, as if it hadn't heard him at all.
Time ticked by, second after second.
Lynn's brows furrowed deeply.
If this were any other time, faced with such uncertainty, he would naturally refuse without a second thought.
But now, at this critical, desperate moment, he couldn't afford to deliberate too much. Nothing was more important than what was right in front of him.
Because time waited for no one.
Finally.
His claws slowly grasped the quill.
