Chapter 332: Chapter 209: These Are All Mine? Jiang Sifan Is Moved

Old Luo pointed to the basketballs, introducing them one by one. "This one is Kobe’s, this one is Owen’s, and this one is Durant’s. The boss had someone appraise them—they’re all authentic. This basketball from Owen was bought from a collector in the United States. It came with proof from the game back then."

Jiang Sifan stared at the basketballs, a storm of complex emotions churning within him.

He stood up and walked to another corner of the room.

There was a basketball hoop there—not a toy one, but a real one you could actually shoot hoops with.

The height of the hoop was adjustable, the floor was covered with professional sports flooring, and there were several more basketballs placed to the side.

Old Luo explained with a smile, "The boss said that if you want to play, you can shoot some hoops in the room. If you feel the room is too small, there’s also an indoor basketball court downstairs that you can use anytime. That court is standard size, and the flooring is NBA-grade."

Jiang Sifan picked up a basketball, weighing it in his hands.

This basketball was also autographed. It was Kobe’s.

He suddenly remembered his childhood. Whenever he saw other kids with autographed sneakers, he would be overcome with envy.

But he knew his family didn’t have the money, so he never mentioned it to his mother.

He remembered a time in middle school when he stood outside a sporting goods store for a long time, staring at a pair of basketball shoes in the window display.

The clerk came out and asked if he wanted to come in and take a look. He just shook his head and walked away.

He walked for over an hour that day, his mind fixated on that pair of shoes.

Now, all these things he once never even dared to dream of were laid out right in front of him.

An autographed jersey, autographed basketballs, limited-edition sneakers, and even a room where he could shoot hoops.

He liked it.

He liked it a lot.

But more than the gifts themselves, he liked the feeling of being valued.

’So, there really was someone quietly thinking of me, quietly preparing all of this for me.’

He recalled what Old Luo had just said.

"The boss specifically hired a designer for this, saying you can’t just hang up a few posters—it has to embody the spirit of the players."

"This black and gold pair... we had to go through three different channels to get them."

"The boss said that if you want to play, you can shoot some hoops in the room."

"He didn’t know if you’d like it or not. He only knew you like Kobe and Owen, so he asked people everywhere to track these down."

Jiang Sifan’s eyes suddenly started to well up.

He turned his face away, not wanting anyone to see.

Wen Wan stood at the doorway without coming in.

She saw Jiang Sifan standing there, his back to her, his shoulders slightly tense.

She knew what he was thinking.

Old Luo noticed too. He quietly took a few steps back, careful not to disturb him.

The room was quiet, filled only with the silent flow of sunlight.

After a long moment, Jiang Sifan finally turned around.

His eyes were a little red, but his expression had returned to calm.

He looked at Old Luo, his voice a bit hoarse. "Did... did he prepare all of this?"

Old Luo nodded. "Yes. The boss personally arranged everything. He said that you’re his son, and he doesn’t know how to make it up to you, so he can only do his best to give you the best."

Jiang Sifan fell silent.

He lowered his head, looking at the sneakers, the jersey, and the autographed basketballs.

He suddenly thought of Lu Fan’s ever-smiling face, of the words he spoke at that conference, of the look in his eyes every time they met.

In that gaze, there was guilt, expectation, and... something else he couldn’t quite put his finger on.

Now, he felt like he was beginning to understand.

Jiang Sifan took a deep breath and said softly, "Thank you."

He didn’t know if he was thanking Old Luo or Lu Fan.

Perhaps it was for both of them.
