Chapter 268: The Greatest Party!

Usually, the marriage part of a wedding happens first, and then the party starts. For our situation, with a majority of those attending the event being strangers, it was better to have the party at the start, then get married, and finally have another, slower party at the end. It was quite hard to take this event in full, so this part was to be held over the course of a week or two.

We weren’t wearing our wedding attire, just the casual outfits that we tend to wear. Either way, those who aren’t used to Celia’s amazing clothing designs…were very impressed; some of the more brave Mortals even begging my wife to give them some clothes as well. Of course, Celia expected this to happen, so everyone was given goodie bags, but in the form of storage rings. Everything a Mortal or Immortal could ever want was inside those rings…

Celia: “Ria and Zia…those two are truly splendid at organizing events. I think that this wedding, despite not being even halfway done yet, will go down in history as the greatest thing to happen. Like, in general.” She mused with a happy tone, appearing behind me, and wrapping her arms around my waist.

Vulely: “Yes, they absolutely are. Considering how you’ve practically made every living being Immortal, or, at the very least unkillable…no one will forget this wedding.” I replied with a similar tone, but with more awe in it.

Celia: “Just as they should; this joining of ours must be as special as possible. So far, it certainly is living up to that desire of mine.” She added with an excited laugh.

On a random balcony, Celia managed to find me; as I had gone off on my own. There wasn’t any reason for doing this, I’m enjoying myself greatly, and am in a good headspace. I just was interested in getting a higher view of the venue. Such a word doesn’t accurately describe how immensely that Home is being utilized by us right now, though. The event spanned for miles, had several attractions, restaurants, an aquarium, a zoo (an ethical one!), and shops; a packed wonderland.

The restaurants had offered various meals of Celia’s making, all prepped prior to the wedding. Ah, poor, poor attendees of this wedding… Once it is over, they will never be able to get a taste of my wife’s cooking ever again. That, on its own, is a hell that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. Her mother expected for Celia to throw the balance off completely, for everything, in every Universe and Dimension…she was absolutely right.

Vulely: “Why give the Mortals so many alms, Celia? You don’t owe them anything, and uniquely buttering up the Higher Beings is more profitable. Even giving them access to the System…” I asked with a slightly upset tone.

Celia: “I didn’t originally plan on doing that, offering them so many…free ascensions to supreme power.” She admitted with an awkward tone.

Vulely: “Eh?! W-what made you change your intentions?” I replied with grand confusion.

Celia: “They all accidentally died from getting teleported to Home.” She deadpanly clarified.

Vulely: “Oh.” I deadpanly added.
