Chapter 288: Chapter 288: Clash (2)

"Because the ego of an Omniversal Sovereign is the hardest anchor in existence to dissolve.Lesser deities, cosmic overlords, and entire multiverses dissolve back into raw pre-genesis potential effortlessly when their Grand Reality ends. They are merely paintings on a canvas, and when the canvas is washed clean, the paint disappears. But a Supreme Creator who has become the living heart of an Omniverse refuses to let go of their sovereignty.

They have spent aeons believing their word is the ultimate truth. Their pride fights the return to unity, so my bark holds them still across the ages, slowly wearing away their stubborn identity with the wind of eternity until their ego breaks and their pure primordial spark can be reclaimed for the whole."

?Zestia spat onto the calcified bone floor, her crimson aura blazing so violently that the frozen curtains of black sap nearby began to hiss and steam.

?"That is the most arrogant excuse for slaughter I have ever heard," Zestia growled, leveling the tip of her spear at the misty figure. "You claim you are saving existence, yet your version of salvation is melting infinite worlds, endless battles, and every living soul across the Gigaverse back into a single, sleeping rock that cannot even swing a blade or feel the thrill of victory. I do not care about your Unbroken Absolute! We fought our way above the multiverses, we conquered the outer dark, and we raised our children to be rulers of the cosmos. We are not going to let you digest our family just to glue some ancient corpse back together!"

?"Your passion burns brighter than a million colliding multiverses, War Goddess, just like the Sovereigns who came before you," the Consciousness said softly, the unborn Grand Realities within its misty form swirling in a slow, sorrowful dance. "Yet passion cannot change the law of finite totality. Look at your husband. He has already synthesized multiple Grand Realities into his soul. Why do you think his hunger only grows sharper with every Omniverse he consumes? Even his vast inner cosmos demands constant primordial fuel from the outside just to maintain its expansion. He is running a race against the cooling of his own stars."

?Noir stepped up beside Zestia, her six midnight wings spreading wide as dark matter coiled around her slender fingers.

?"You speak as if you know the limits of my husband’s soul, ancient one. You have spent eternity sitting in the dark, drinking the stagnant leftovers of failed creators who only knew how to build cages or copy what they saw. You have never tasted a light like his."

?Neo stood completely still on the edge of the bone balcony. He looked down at the mercurial blade in his hand, watching the golden radiance of his internal Grand Realities ripple across the liquid metal. Inside his soul, whole multiverses were being born and flourishing with every beat of his heart, completely sustained by his sovereign will.

?After a long moment, Neo raised his head, and a calm, radiant smile spread across his face.

?"You have stood watch since the first fracture of the Absolute, yet your vision is completely trapped in the past. You believe that the primordial spark is finite because you only know how to harvest, erase, and hoard what was left behind at the beginning. You are a caretaker guarding a dying fire, terrified to let the flames spread because you do not know how to create new fuel."

?The misty figure tilted its head, the shifting features of its face settling into a look of solemn inquiry. "Nothing can be added to the totality of the Absolute, young Sovereign. One can only rearrange the shards that already exist. Even the greatest architects can only shape the clay they are given. That is the ultimate boundary of the Gigaverse."

?"That was the boundary of the old era, before I ascended. When I execute Universal Synthesis, I do not merely stitch dead realities together or hoard their leftover energy. When I take the absolute stasis of the Seventh Omniverse and collide it with the backward genesis of the Inverted Omniverse within my Crucible, the conceptual friction between those contradictory Grand Realities does not drain the primordial spark. It ignites a brand-new one. I am generating entirely new primordial potential that never existed within your Unbroken Absolute."

?The Consciousness froze. For the first time since they had entered the central chasm, the ancient stillness of the chamber broke. The misty figure drifted closer to the balcony, extending its primordial perception directly toward Neo’s open chest.

?It looked past his physical vessel and peered into the roaring heart of Multiverse Prime. It saw the ten thousand life universes of his foundational realm, the liberated star-forges of the Seventh Omniverse, and the paradoxical gardens of the 999,999th realm. As the Consciousness watched, the opposing laws of those assimilated Grand Realities brushed against one another within the golden flames of the Divine Crucible. Where stasis met inversion, and where creation met erasure, pure, undiluted sparks of pre-genesis essence were blooming out of complete nothingness.

?The total volume of existence within Neo’s soul was not diluting as it expanded; it was multiplying exponentially.

?"Impossible," the Consciousness whispered, its voice echoing with a tremor that shook the petrified walls of the trunk. "A perpetual engine of genesis. You are not dividing the inheritance of the Absolute. You are forging a new totality from the friction of the shards."

?"The Unbroken Absolute shattered itself because it wanted to grow, not because it wanted to be swept back into a pile of dust and put back to sleep," Neo said, raising the Sunbreaker Blade and pointing the gleaming tip directly at the center of the misty figure.

"Your vigil is over, First Root. The Gigaverse no longer needs to be pruned into a grave to survive eternity. Yield your branches, your stored aeons of essence, and the souls of the fallen Sovereigns to my Divine Crucible. I will synthesize this entire tree, and I will turn your ancient anchor into the foundation of an endlessly expanding reality."

?The Consciousness retreated back into the center of the dark lotus of singularities. The shifting mist of its body began to churn violently, transitioning from a tranquil silver-gray to a blinding, tempestuous violet.

?"Your flame is miracle made manifest, Supreme Creator," the Consciousness declared, "If your Crucible can truly sustain infinite expansion, then my purpose is fulfilled, and I will gladly surrender the reins of the Gigaverse to your hands. However, I was grown from the original fracture with an unbreakable mandate. I cannot yield the treasury of the Absolute on a promise alone!"

?Around the colossal chasm, the millions of frozen waterfalls of black entropy sap suddenly shattered their stillness.

?"Beneath my roots lies the compressed weight of a billion harvested Grand Realities gathered across uncounted aeons! If your Divine Crucible is truly limitless, then drink the ocean I have stored! If your furnace holds even a single flaw, this essence will unmake your soul and return your family to the quiet dark! Prove that your new dawn can carry the weight of eternity!"

?The dark lotus of singularities snapped shut around the Consciousness, and the entire interior of the Aeonic Gigaversal Tree erupted into a cataclysmic maelstrom. The millions of arteries did not merely pour sap anymore; they fired concentrated pillars of primordial erasure and raw, unshaped omniversal mass directly at the bone balcony.

?"He never takes the easy road, does he?" Noir laughed over the deafening roar of the collapsing chasm, her six midnight wings flaring to their maximum span as a tide of pure abyssal night surged from her body to meet the incoming deluge from the left.

?"If it were easy, it would not be worth our time!" Zestia shouted back in fierce exhilaration.

She leaped ten paces into the air above the balcony, spinning her crimson spear until she became a blazing wheel of martial destruction that intercepted the roaring pillars descending from the canopy above.

?Moon glided directly behind Neo, placing both of her delicate, glowing hands flat against his back. Her silver lotus expanded until its petals encompassed the entire balcony, weaving the supreme laws of the heavenly Dao into a flawless, geometric funnel around her husband.

?"We will hold the currents steady and channel the flow, beloved," Moon’s voice rang clearly in Neo’s mind. "Open your Crucible without reservation. You do not carry the sky alone."

?Neo planted his boots firmly on the petrified bone. He did not raise a shield to block the converging ocean of black sap and raw omniversal potential. Instead, he reversed his grip on the Sunbreaker Blade and plunged the liquid metal sword straight down into the bone floor of the balcony, anchoring his blade directly into the core structure of the ancient trunk.

?"Universal Synthesis," Neo commanded, his voice calm at the center of the storm. "Absolute Assimilation."

?The golden furnace within Neo’s chest tore open a doorway into the chasm. Rather than pushing the crushing tsunami of black sap away, the Divine Crucible acted as an omniversal vortex, pulling the entire maelstrom directly into Neo’s body.

?The impact of the first wave was beyond description. The compressed essence of millions of dead Grand Realities flooded through Neo’s veins all at once. It carried the freezing cold of total erasure, the suffocating weight of quadrillions of erased timelines, and the deafening, maddening chorus of thousands of calcified Omniversal Sovereigns screaming in the outer bark. Neo’s god crafted robes vaporized into golden mist, exposing skin that glowed like molten starlight as cracks of blinding white energy spiderwebbed across his shoulders and chest.
