Blood Primordial: Start With S-Rank Blood Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 63: Celebrations
Every survivor couldn’t help but feel that being alive was such a wonderful feeling. Many had tears in their eyes as they remembered the feeling of the last few days of nonstop battle.
Even though only about twenty per cent survived the beast tide, it was still a better outcome than being annihilated.
Most of them immediately collapsed, as with this end they didn’t have any ounce of strength remaining for anything further. They all needed rest physically and mentally.
But they all had a smile on their face as they were able to survive one of the most terrifying catastrophes of a century.
On the other side of Flameheart City, the battle had also ended.
The losses there were similar, perhaps even slightly higher, as some areas had faced more beasts and abominations than others.
But all the survivors wore the same expression. The joy of survival.
The city was in bad shape, as numerous streets, shops and homes were destroyed.
However, the common people slowly began emerging from the hidden bunkers scattered throughout the city.
Now, it was their job to rebuild the city and restore their lives.
The soldiers had protected the city with their lives. And now, the survivors had to rebuild what they had fought so desperately to protect.
The situation was the same for most cities throughout the southern region of the state of Silver River, but not all cities survived this ordeal, as they weren’t able to handle the onslaught of the beasts or fell because of the tricks of the mysterious spiritual awakener.
They didn’t have enough manpower, or the many small noble bloodline awakeners ran at the last moment, leaving the cities vulnerable, resulting in countless deaths and destruction.
Mostly, those were small cities ruled by one or two small noble families. They didn’t know how to handle the beasts, so they simply ran, leaving most people who didn’t have any chance of survival on their own.
Across the southern region of the State of Silver River, different scenes were happening. But everywhere, people were struggling to cope with the loss of friends and family.
Nobody had escaped the beast tide completely unscathed. It would take a long time for the southern region to recover its former vitality.
At that same time, within the deeper part of the Myriad Beast Mountain, the mysterious shadowy figures seemed to have gathered again and seemed to be talking about something.
"It was less than expected, but we have gathered enough souls to open the nightmare gate."
"Good. We can proceed to the next step."
"However, our meddling in the southern region seems to have attracted the attention of the empire. For the time being, we need to be extra careful and keep a low profile. It isn’t time to confront the empire yet."
"Yes."
"Then let’s prepare for the Nightmare Gate."
And with those words, the group of shadowy figures dispersed in the deep darkness of the Myriad Beast Mountain range.
Nobody knew about the secret meeting, but many mystery clans and organisations seemed to get wind of it, as it seemed troubled times were coming.
Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away from Flameheart City, a figure was flying towards the city on a six-metre-long red dragon-like beast.
The person riding it had a young and handsome face, but there seemed to be a hint of age hidden within his eyes despite his youthful appearance.
He calmly rode the dragon-like beast towards Flameheart City.
The surprising thing was that he was holding a locket that seemed a bit similar to the locket Max had with him and gave it away from the chance to leave the Black Iron City.
It had the same crimson gem embedded, but it seemed to be bigger and brighter than the one Max had previously.
He seemed to look at the locket and seemed to be murmuring, "After more than three hundred years, finally the descendant appeared, but weirdly it was from outside and in the corner of the State of Silver."
"Hopefully I found him or her quickly; otherwise, it would become troublesome to find in the massive State of Silver River."
He said and looked towards the direction of Flameheart City and looked at the lock that seemed to be dimly glowing, like a lighthouse guiding him to his destination.
And then the dragon continued to fly on with terrifying speed.
Max at Flameheart City had no idea about this, as he, with Stella, Andrew, and Mathew, along with some other bloodline awakeners, seemed to calmly leave the walls and go back into the city to celebrate their survival.
Some inns and restaurants that had survived the beast tide also reopened and began serving the soldiers and survivors who had been trapped inside the city for the past few days.
Everyone was hungry beyond words.
For days, most of them had survived on nothing more than dried meat and water.
Now that the battle was over, they wanted only one thing.
A proper meal.
They wanted meat, drinks, and a little celebration after surviving the hellish beast tide.
Max and the group also came to such a restaurant and ordered everything.
Max and the others ate like they were nothing better than this. In fact, everyone else was doing the same; many were glad for their survival but also sad, as they lost friends and family and were drinking their sorrows and joys.
Max was also drinking and was calmer after putting large chunks of meat in his mouth. From tomorrow, they will be allowed to leave the city, and then they can begin their journey.
He still had many mysteries to uncover. He still needed to become stronger.
He still had countless dangers waiting for him. But something had changed.
Before, he had been anxious and constantly worried about surviving in this unfamiliar world. Now, he had confidence. He had strength and the ability to make his way in this new world.
As he was drinking and enjoying himself, a figure appeared in the sky outside the city. So, he is here..."
