The flying figure calmly entered the city, where guards and people were still clearing the aftermath of the beast tide.

But for some reason, they couldn’t see her, as if she were invisible. She landed in the middle and walked directly into the city towards the direction where Max was at the moment.

She walked calmly, like this was her home, and remained invisible to everybody else as she finally reached outside some inn.

It was already night.

Countless people were still awake, making the damaged city shine beneath the darkness.

However, most of the bloodline awakeners had already fallen into a deep sleep after four terrifying days of nonstop battle.

The mysterious woman calmly stopped outside an inn. Her eyes seemed to look through the walls towards the interior. And it finally seemed to pierce through everything, and she saw Max.

Max was, at that moment, sleeping alone, as even he was tired after fighting for four days and didn’t know or feel there were eyes on him.

She seemed to smile and entered the inn. Everything seemed simple to her; nobody seemed to notice her or stop her as he came right in front of Max’s room. She didn’t move, but the door seemed to open on its own silently, and she stepped into the room.

Max didn’t seem awake, as he seemed to still be sleeping soundly as the mysterious intruder came close and stood right in front of his bed, quietly and creepily watching over him.

"The aura had almost faded, but he definitely has the hint of distortion of fate on him. He should be one." She seemed to murmur as she looked at Max.

Her voice was calm and yet cold and wasn’t loud, but it was enough for Max to wake up suddenly.

"Fuck!" The moment he opened his eyes, he saw someone was within his room and was standing right in front of his bed and watching him calmly, like she was watching a lab rat or some animal.

He was shocked and quickly jumped on his bed. But when he glanced at the intruder, he was even more surprised, as it was a beautiful woman, too beautiful that he didn’t know how to describe her.

Stella was beautiful, and she had charm as a spiritual awakener, but even she would appear pale compared to the intruder.

He tried to calm down, but then he noticed her eyes.

Those cold, indifferent eyes sent a chill through his entire body.

They weren’t the eyes of someone looking at another human being. It was as though she didn’t regard him as a living person at all. Instead, she was looking at some kind of specimen.

Something to be observed. Something to be studied. Something that didn’t deserve to be considered human.

And that made Max deeply uneasy.

She seemed to remain indifferent even though Max seemed to have awakened from his sleep, yet she didn’t seem to care. But it seemed she was finally going to talk.

"I finally found you and the one who just seemed to have awakened." She said, and a smile seemed to appear on her face.

"You ran quite a bit even though you are very weak. With the help of fate, you somehow managed to escape Black Iron City."

"You even managed to escape your pursuers. Then, as if fate itself was protecting you, the Beast Tide suddenly erupted and saved you from most of your troubles."

"And in the end, I had to come here personally to find you."

Her voice was calm as she told this to Max, who didn’t understand why she knew so much about him or cared. And what did she mean by the "help of fate"?

Yes, he had been lucky. But describing everything that happened to him as fate seemed like an exaggeration.

But his expression became grave, as it seemed this woman was following him from the beginning and couldn’t help but think the reason why he was targeted by the Blackthorn family might have something to do with her.

"Are you the one who ordered the Blackthorn family to catch me?" He asked, as he still didn’t understand why they wanted a low-life, street-rotting guy like him.

Hearing this, she smiled, but that smile seemed to contain coldness that seemed to freeze the bravest soul.

"Yes, I was the one who ordered that." She answered without any intention of hiding.

"Why, and who are you?" He couldn’t help but ask.

If it wasn’t for her, he might never have been forced to flee Black Iron City in the first place.

His transmigration had already been confusing enough. Yet from the moment he arrived in this world, trouble seemed to follow him everywhere.

And now, the person responsible for his earliest troubles was standing directly in front of him.

"You aren’t strong enough to know that and wouldn’t have changed to become strong. I am going to take that." As she said, her eyes glowed suddenly.

Max didn’t hesitate; he wanted to attack her, but immediately he felt a crushing force come from above.

Bang!

The bed instantly seemed to be crushed by the pressure; along with it, he also crashed to the ground, unable to stand.

He didn’t hesitate; he even felt the terrifying difference in their power. He used his trump card directly.

The flames suddenly burst out, and for the first time, a slightly surprised expression appeared on her face as the invisible pressure surrounding Max disappeared.

And along with the hell flames, the Hell Crimson Spear appeared in his hand. The hell flames and Hell Crimson Spear seemed to shock her. Her calm and indifference finally changed.

"How can you have such an extraordinary spiritual weapon? No, it seems to surpass a spiritual weapon. There shouldn’t be any artefact of this level entirely in the State of Silver River."

Her eyes seemed to see something shocking as the invisible spiritual energy that filled this room seemed to slowly burn away by the hell flames like it was their food.
