The centipede abomination’s aura was terrifying, on a completely different level from the zombie knight. It seemed to release such a deathly, eerie aura that bloodline awakeners would freeze in terror.

Not to mention, it also seemed to be releasing constant poison that had changed the landscape like it devoured the life from it.

The land outside seemed to have turned into a drought-ridden desert as the poisonous aura from the centipede destroyed all.

The transformation realm experts needed to be very careful, as the poison was very deadly even for them. Not to mention it also possessed terrifying regeneration on par with the Zombie King Max fought.

The five transformation realm experts also weren’t ordinary, especially the old commander from the Flameheart family; he seemed to be above the rest. His heart flames were like living flames with their own will as he controlled them freely.

As Max watched the battle, he also noticed something interesting about the Transformation Realm experts.

They seemed to be capable of transforming their powers into physical forms and using them as weapons with terrifying might.

For example, the Flameheart family’s expert could create swords made entirely of flames, while the Silverblade family’s expert could condense his Silverblade energy into a tangible sword.

Those with beast-like bloodlines could apparently transform parts of their bodies into various characteristics of the beasts associated with their bloodlines. So he couldn’t help but think what would happen to him.

Would he be able to transform his blood into weapons like a spear, halberd, or axe and attack them, or would he be able to transform his hands or legs into blood dragon claws or even possibly both?

The thought alone made Max look forward to reaching the Transformation Realm. As it would completely change his level of strength, but sadly he didn’t know how to reach the Transformation Realm.

His main focus should be finding the way to break through the transformational realm, as only becoming a transformation-level expert can make him truly free and even not need to be afraid of most nobles.

But that’s for later, as the battle ahead reaches towards the end. Most of the beasts were handled, and only this abomination remained. All five of them seemed to attack together like a team of experts who fought together for years.

Especially the old commander, who seems to summon a burning phoenix that covered the massive centipede abomination in orange flames.

Roar!

The centipede let out a horrifying roar as the phoenix continued burning its body.

However, the other experts didn’t stop either.

The two elderly Transformation Realm experts with beast-type bloodlines transformed their limbs into terrifying beast forms and displayed their extraordinary close-combat abilities.

Their attacks were so powerful that they repeatedly shook the centipede’s massive body.

One of them transformed his arms into those of a gigantic purple gorilla, granting him monstrous strength capable of uprooting mountains.

The other transformed his legs into those of a mantis, giving him terrifying speed and allowing him to generate incredible momentum with every movement.

Together, they unleashed their combined strength.

Boom! Boom!

Their attacks repeatedly struck the centipede, even lifting its enormous body from the ground.

The silverblade serpent attacked with a tricky silver blade aura; every strike from him was terrible as it cut those centipedes’ gruesome legs and left deep wounds across its body.

Meanwhile, the Transformation Realm expert from the Nightwing family used his shadow-like darkness to restrain the centipede, holding its enormous body in place while simultaneously absorbing some of its power and weakening it.

Their combined strength was slowly draining its power, and its regeneration seemed unable to keep it up. It finally appeared that they were winning the battle.

Other bloodline awakeners watching from the wall felt excited as this abomination was the last danger remaining. If it were destroyed, then the beast tide mostly would end.

At that moment Ethan, who was calmly standing and also watching the main battle, noticed Max’s group, and his expression changed.

He had sent Jules to take care of him, and yet he came back, but not Jules, which means only one thing: he had failed, possibly even died by the hands of a rogue mercenary bloodline awakener.

Ethan couldn’t believe it, as to how it was possible. Jules was a very talented bloodline awakener from the Silverblade family and had reached the peak of the bloodline awakener realm with a possibility to break through the transformation realm, but now suddenly he lost to some nobody.

His eyes burst with killing intent like never before. He had never faced such a situation; not only was he not able to teach this nobody a lesson, but he might have lost an important member of his family. If the news reached his father, he would definitely be disappointed and angry.

Although he was loved by his father and could do whatever he liked, the premise is that he didn’t bring any harm to the family. But he had already lost a talented bloodline awakener, and it had suddenly become a troublesome matter.

He had to do something about it; he couldn’t let him leave after killing a member of the Silverblade family. He might be punished more if he didn’t manage to get revenge.

He still had one bloodline awakener from the family and two surviving mercenary bloodline awakeners that he brought under him by force. Many of those mercenary soldiers died or were heavily injured during the beast tide, so he only has a total of three, which frankly might not be enough.

Ethan was troubled; he even knew everything and could not do anything, as he didn’t have power or any means to kill some nobody bloodline awakener.

"Fuck! "He cursed as he looked at the distant Max.

Max seemed to feel something and looked in the direction of Ethan. For a moment, their eyes seemed to collide. Both of their eyes had a hint of glint hidden in them, as both wanted another to be dead.

Max also naturally wanted to kill Ethan, as Ethan sent Jules to kill him, and he almost died. He naturally wanted to take care of such a petty guy, but he also could not do it right now.

Both their situations are kind of the same, as they both wanted to deal with one another but were unable to do it openly.

Max looked at Ethan and showed him his mocking grin. Ethan, seeing this, gritted his teeth, as when was ever he was taunted, not to mention the one taunting him wasn’t even from a noble family.

Ethan made up his mind he would definitely kill Max no matter what. And to do that, only with the help of Serpent in the transformation realm could he be sure of that. So, he looked at the battle of the transformation realm, hoping to end quickly.

Max also looked at the battle, as he could guess what thoughts Ethan was having. Only with Serpent’s help can he have a chance to kill him.

Although Serpent wouldn’t be able to attack him openly, it was possible, so to be prepared, he specially watched Serpent’s fight, carefully trying to understand his fighting style.

The battle reached its finale as the centipede abomination seemed unable to take it anymore. The constant flames from the phoenix had drained most of its energy, leaving it severely weakened.

The other four experts immediately seized the opportunity.

All five attacked with everything they had.

Boom!

A massive explosion erupted.

The shockwave shook the entire eastern gate, and the aftershocks even caused everyone standing on the walls to tremble.

The explosion covered hundreds of meters in dust and smoke. Everyone held their breath as they stared at the battlefield.

Slowly, the smoke and dust began to settle. The scene finally became visible.

At the centre of the devastated battlefield lay the massive carcass of the centipede abomination.

Its body still radiated a terrifying aura. But it no longer moved.

The five transformation realm experts silently watched, not showing any expression.

Everything became silent at that time; nobody dared to move or even make a noise. The gigantic centipede didn’t move for a few seconds, and someone couldn’t help but murmur, "Could it be finally the end?"

Sch! Sch!...

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Then suddenly the entire abomination corpse, like a rotten piece of meat on the bone, started to fall. Large chunks of flesh and bones feel on the ground, corroding the land with its poison.

It happened very fast, and in the matter of ten seconds, the entire massive centipede became a rotten flesh and bones of hundreds of beasts and humans, returning to its original state.

"It’s finally over." The old commander’s sigh of victory was heard by everyone on the walls clearly.

"It’s ended!"

"Battle is finally over."

"We survived!"

"It’s over!!!

Everyone then immediately erupted with excitement and laughter. It was finally over, and the hellish battle for survival that almost lasted four days had finally seemed to come to an end.
