"Weird monsters..."

Everyone’s expression became serious as they saw the abomination and its terrifying power from afar. They couldn’t handle such things at all.

The noble bloodline awakener from the Flameheart family naturally noticed this and quickly said, "Don’t worry, they are not at the level of those abominations. From the info we received, they are at the level of bloodline awakeners and are a bit more troublesome than ordinary beasts."

When they heard the enemies weren’t those terrifying abominations, they sighed in relief; otherwise, they would have been sending them to their deaths.

Everybody nodded, and then the noble looked at Max and Stella. Max quickly understood why he was looking at him. "Don’t worry, I will take care of her, and she won’t be a trouble."

Although it was annoying, he and others didn’t care whether she was safe or not. Maybe even some thought she could be used as bait if necessary. Even if she was beautiful, saving their lives mattered the most.

Max had thought of letting her stay behind, but she was a spiritual awakener and could help him if necessary and be his trump card.

So, even other people looking at him weirdly as a horny guy who cannot control his desire, it didn’t matter. Andrew and Mathew came and asked silently, as they had understood what kind of guy Max is.

Since he brought a woman suddenly, there had to be some reason for it.

"What’s the matter? Why did you bring her along?" Andrew asked in a low voice.

Max smiled mysteriously. "Don’t worry, she might be a great help." He didn’t say anything more, and Andrew also didn’t ask any more.

Soon, the group, led by the noble Bloodline Awakener from the Flameheart family, arrived at another battlefield.

From a distance, they could already hear the thunderous sounds of battle—the clash of weapons, the roars of beasts, and the destructive explosions caused by Bloodline Awakeners fighting their enemies.

They finally noticed the different kinds of abominations, and beasts seem to be attacked by the group of Bloodline Awakeners.

These abominations clearly had more human-like features, as they most seemed to be walking on their two feet and seemed intelligent enough to command the beasts.

Their bodies appeared to be rotting, with flesh and bones exposed in many places. To be said, they looked exactly like zombies, but they weren’t weak like the ones in the movies that can be killed by anyone with a weapon.

Their speed and power were close to the top bloodline awakeners with D or C-Rank bloodlines. They also seemed to be able to use weapons just like humans or any other intelligent species.

"Go!"

Everyone quickly joined the battle; he told Stella to stay behind him. Max, along with Andrew and Mathew, also joined the battle.

The streets were destroyed, or even the entire section of street was destroyed by these things’ attacks, not to mention there were quite a few beasts here, as some of these zombies seemed to be commanding them.

"Good! The reinforcement arrived!’ One of the bloodline awakeners shouted with excitement as they were actually being pushed, and some of them were heavily injured by these zombies’ attacks and needed healing.

The max enemy was a zombie who seemed to be using a spear just like him. He seemed to have already injured three bloodline awakeners, and the zombie seemed to be using a bone spear, which made him look forward to fighting this zombie.

He wasn’t going to use the Hell Crimson Spear, but he used the normal spear, which he had taken from the shop, as their ordinary weapons’ quality was quite good, so he had taken some and left the most for those poor people whom that hideout belonged to.

Others also found their respective targets, and quickly the battle began again. The zombie seemed to attack first as it came towards him, running with terrifying speed surpassing ordinary bloodline awakeners.

But it wasn’t much for him, and then he stepped forward and calmly took the bone spear from the zombie and deflected it. He put quite a lot of power in it, and it immediately seemed to make the bones in the zombie’s arm bend on the opposite side.

Clang!

It seemed this was just the end of it. A bone spear suddenly appeared on the zombie’s other hand. And as it didn’t feel pain or anything, there wasn’t a bit of delay, and it stopped Max’s next attack.

Clang!

Max’s eyes glowed with surprise, but this wasn’t the end, as the other arms quickly healed and then the ferocious onslaught continued on.

In just one exchange of attacks, he understood that its spear skills were quite different; it seemed not to follow any pattern like him, who didn’t know anything about using spears before and just tried to find the best optimal path for him.

But he still had standard human movement that used his extraordinary strength and speed, but this zombie just followed the do-or-die method, as any injuries healed on its healed almost instantly, nowhere slowly like him, that take minutes, even hours, if the injuries were worse.

This also explained why the other bloodline awakeners were having so much trouble against these creatures.

Based on its strength, several bloodline awakeners should have been able to injure it by surrounding it.

But that wasn’t enough. The attack power needed to be so strong that it needed to destroy it before it regenerated. His aura increased, and he attacked more ferociously than before.

His figure became a blur as he moved forward with terrifying speed.

In the blink of an eye, he seemed to leave behind countless afterimages while unleashing dozens of powerful spear strikes.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The spear pierced through the zombie’s body like a hot knife through butter, creating dozens of holes in its rotten flesh.

But it seemed it wasn’t enough, as a creepy aura surrounded it and the torn flesh and shattered bones rapidly regenerated until the zombie’s body was almost completely restored.
