Blood Primordial: Start With S-Rank Blood Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 57: New Troubles
Max quickly put it away. He now knew its power was terrifying, and he could not use it in normal times. He was also surprised to find that Hell Crimson Spear uses his blood as its source, and this single attack almost drained ten percent of his entire blood.
The amount of blood it drained made it only be used as a trump card, as otherwise he himself, who believed to have the best stamina, would be drained in a few attacks.
But its power is also equally heaven-defying; even his best Blood Explosion would barely equal it in just physical destruction, not to mention the hell flames attack both physical and spiritual aspects, making it almost impossible to defend.
He quickly put away the hell crimson spear, and then with Stella they went forward.
On the other side, after Max and Stella ransacked the old weapon shop hideout, a group of people appeared right in front of it.
They were mostly bloodline awakeners and had assassin-like vibes; their steps were mostly silent, and most of their faces were hidden under masks.
Only one man, who appeared to be their pathfinder, wasn’t wearing a mask. "It’s here; most of the items were hidden here. It is a perfect place to hide things."
The short man with a sleazy look, who seemed to be leading them, said with a smile. But his expression changed because he noticed that the door of the shops seemed open. It wasn’t open wide, but he could see it wasn’t locked.
"That’s strange. I clearly remember locking it before we left."
The other masked men immediately became alert. They spread out and silently surrounded the entrance, their hands resting on their weapons.
"Could someone have discovered this place?" one of them asked quietly.
The short man shook his head. "Impossible. We have been extremely careful. Even the nobles of Flameheart City don’t know about this place."
He stepped closer and carefully pushed the door open.
Creak...
The sound echoed through the old shop. And he immediately noticed the difference. Everything within the shop was a mess, and without hesitation he went inside and looked directly at the old self, which at that moment was widely opened, and the secret room behind was clearly opened.
"Fuck! How can it be?" He felt shocked, feeling anxious as he quickly entered the secret room.
But what he saw made his expression turn ugly.
The room ahead of him was clear as a bright sky without a single hint of dust.
Max has cleared this room so cleanly that there wasn’t a hint of anything; he didn’t leave any silver coins. Everything within the room was taken. The room was so clean that it looked as though nothing had ever been stored there in the first place.
"Who dares to rob this place! He couldn’t calm his anger as he looked at the cleaned room. The other assassin-looking people also entered the shop and looked at the empty room.
"This is your safe place! A place had been robbed by some puny thief?" One of the assassins said, looking at the short guy with displeasure. His aura was through the calmest, but it made the short guy feel chills.
He quickly started to beg, "Captain, that’s not true; this place was well hidden with very few people coming at this corner street. Even the money and the items were hidden well in a secret room. So it wasn’t possible for a petty thief to find it."
"You worthless wretch, who cares about some minor silver? The most important item was the map, which was something we risked our lives to finally get, and now you are saying that some thief cleaned this place, taking everything."
"This...?" he cannot answer, as he really didn’t expect this place to be raided. This place was usually guarded by his people in the shadows, but due to the beast tide, everybody had to leave. And within just the gap of these three days somebody would raid this place.
"Ah... Map? Not for the spiritual treasu..." The moment he thought about the spiritual treasure, something mysterious happened.
A strange power suddenly appeared within his mind. It was like a parasite suddenly appeared in his mind, and the memory of the Spiritual Treasures was instantly devoured by that mysterious force.
The short man’s expression became blank for a moment. The memory disappeared completely, as though it had never existed.
"What are you murmuring about?" The assassin captain’s sharp voice immediately snapped him back to reality.
"Ah? What?"
"What are you lost in thought about? Quickly find the thief and recover that map!" The captain ordered.
"Ah! Yes. I will find the thief quickly. Whoever it is cannot run away with such an amount of silver without leaving any clues." The short guy quickly said and went to find clues.
The group of assassins in masks also quickly disappeared. As they all were looking for the clues.
Max didn’t know that he and Stella were clearing the beasts and then returned to the place where the group agreed to meet.
Many of them were already gathered. Seeing Max coming with a beauty, they couldn’t help but look at him with a weird expression.
"She is the servant I took after I saved her from beasts," he said.
He had, before coming, already told Stella to hide her spiritual powers and not to show them in front of others. So for the others, it appeared he just brought some ordinary but beautiful servant. As they were bloodline awakeners, it wasn’t uncommon for them.
Stella’s beauty cannot be hidden even if she changed clothes to the modest clothes she had in the storage ring. He could already feel the look everyone was giving.
At that time, Andrew and Mathew also returned. Almost everyone had gathered.
Then, a noble Bloodline Awakener from the Flameheart family arrived alongside the remaining Bloodline Awakeners who had entered the city to hunt the beasts that had breached the walls.
"We have received help signals from different parts of the city, as some weird monsters also seem to have entered along with the beasts."
