[1739] – Y07.239 – The Children Are So Cute IX

  • Next Chapter

The seven children eagerly assisted with helping their fathers and their papos and kakos with the planting, and they would assist the next few days too, although Nirot and Faool remained with Virot and Damrot, keeping an eye on them to make sure they didn’t eat the seeds or the soil, or get soil within their eyes. As much as Virot had treated her father kindly, she complained whenever he tried to hold her wrists to help her dig, but with Nirot, Nirot stared down into her eyes, half glaring at the girl.

“You will try it with me?” Nirot asked.

Virot flushed, pouting, and though she made to cry, Nirot raised her brow and the girl stopped.

Damrot eagerly accepted his father’s help, and as the two began a competition, with Damrot barely shifting the earth, Jurot lost to his son. The young Iyrman found it too difficult to lose against his son. He did not lose against his son’s skill, but his cuteness, and so cute was he, this son of his.

Indeed, it was terrifying.

The cuteness his son possessed could defeat him so easily.

Jurot thought of his daughters too, who would be able to defeat him easier, so Adam had said.

“Daddy, I want to enchant, and become the greatest Scribe Mage, but can I be a Priest too?”

“If you want, you can be like daddy, who can…” Adam blinked. “Why are you looking at me like that.”

“I do not want to be like daddy…” Jirot side eyed her father, the corner of her lip curled.

“I meant! Daddy is a Scribe Mage, and a Priest, and a Fighter, and an Oathsworn, you know?”

“Mm! I can be like daddy, who is a Scribe Mage, and mummy, who is a Priest.” Jirot nodded her head, and though she was teasing her father, weren’t her words correct?

‘This punk, she thinks she can tease me just because she’s so cute…’ Adam’s eyes slowly trailed to the side, meeting his brother’s gaze, and the pair shared a knowing look.

Once the children were done with assisting the Iyr up to the afternoon they bathed, much to a particular girl’s complaints, and as the triplets charged towards their mother, they hugged her tight.

“Did you enjoy your planting?” Vonda asked.

“Yes!” the triplets replied, their tails swaying wildly behind them.

Xarot yawned lightly, but he accepted his elder siblings affection.

Adam turned his head to the side, wincing slightly as he was struck by a dark vision, and forced it away. He smiled, though understood he needed to return back to working out properly next morning.

Adam did so, working out alongside his grandmother once more, and this time, with Old Jarot returning after showering his grandson in affection, and giving all the gifts, he began to train the children. Malfev thought to fight against Jarot, but seeing how annoyed he was as Churot needed to assist the Main Iyr, as the teen had been assisting the Front Iyr for quite some time already, the old man needed to work off some steam, and so he had to surrender them.

‘I’ll be done soon, I guess...’ Adam thought as he continued to enchant, and spent some additional time casting his spells to make more armour and weapons, spending almost an hour each day to cast Fabricate, using a great amount of his mana.

It wasn’t as though the Iyr would try to kill him, and if they would, wouldn’t they appreciate he had little to no mana left to resist? Plus, if they needed him to help them, then it was too great of an issue at that point.

Adam yawned, thinking about who he could send with all the magical items over the course of the next six months or so. ‘Jurot, Vasera, Kitool, and the others, but they already stepped out this year…’

Adam stretched out his muscles as he walked back to the estate. ‘Jurot and Kitool are training hard. I guess Vasera is bored, so she makes a lot of sense. Also, since she’s almost a Master, or maybe she is a Master, it’ll be fine. Who else should I send? I guess I could send… Mork? Tork? Brittany, maybe? I don’t know…’

Adam passed by an estate, but paused, glancing to the side to find a pair of twins training. Rafik and Rafiq were training against one another, each mirroring the other, and then eventually turned, fighting off ghosts in front of themselves, working on their various forms. It was their master who had taught them all these techniques, many of which had been modified, by their master, by themselves, in order to suit them better.

‘They fight so well, and without my armour, they might even be able to defeat me if they freeze me,’ Adam thought, but he continued along his way, considering the pair, and the magical items he needed to make for them. With Vonda and Sara, they could very easily enchant six Basic items a week, perhaps a touch more, maybe even an average or four to six Greater items per week. Until he realized it was perhaps only himself who could do something like that. Adam scratched his cheek. ‘They probably average… three? Four? Between them? It’s probably like… eighteen a month between them?’

Since it required too much maths, Adam let it go, however, if he wanted to enchant all those weapons for everyone, he would need roughly two weeks for each Greater Enhanced weapon, he presumed, or rather, he could enchant roughly two per week on average, which meant eight every month, and there were definitely more than eight he needed to make, plus he needed to enchant so many Greater weapons and armour in general. ‘Am I really going to just enchant all year long? Plus, I’ll only have about half? I guess since I’m Awakening so many Iyrmen, that’s actually… two or three extra per week for Basic weapons, then maybe two or so a week on average for Greater? So actually, if I Awaken six, that’s an extra six who can enchant two to three Basic each week, so twelve a week, or six a week for Greater? Although, that does decrease my enchanting time by half, one week to Awaken, one week to rest, and though I could probably be able to enchant a few days earlier…’

“Daddy,” called the reason why Adam didn’t dare to do so. “I have brought you a gift.”

Adam gasped. “What’s the gift?”

Jirot held out a small sweet, wrapped in a paper. “Nano gave me two extra, so I gave mummy one, and now I am giving you.”

Adam sniffled, picking up his daughter, feeling her weight against his hands, and the warmth emanating from the girl. “You are the greatest gift of all!”

Jirot flushed slightly, and though she made to bully her father, instead she kissed his nose, and looked away, embarrassed. She did not even call him a silly daddy for saying something so obvious.
