Chapter 2068: Another Plan

Chapter 2068: Another Plan

Zara could chase after the escaped rat, but she decided not to because she wanted to quickly return to Tang Shaoyang’s side. She came out from Tang Shaoyang’s shadow, standing next to him, and asked him, “I have cleared the rats. What’s your plan now?”

“You let one rat escape?” Tang Shaoyang didn’t reprimand her, but had a genuine curiosity as to why she let one of them escape.

“If you wanted to kill them all, then that was your fault for giving unclear instructions,” The Goddess of Death shrugged. “You said to get rid of them, and I did. There were no more rats in the city.”

“I guess you are right,” Then he turned toward the north side where the Shadow Star’s army gathered the most, “The plan is simple, we attack them before they attack us. That way, we don’t need to fight them all at the same time.”

“And I don’t understand why you are worried so much. It’s not like all of them are God Ranks. They bring a ragtag army, not a God Rank Army. Most of them were below Legend Rank, and I don’t know why they brought those people with them.”

“They are not all a God Rank?” Karan asked in surprise. He assumed the army only consisted of God Ranks.

“I don’t believe so. They might have a few thousand God Ranks, but not hundreds of thousands of God Ranks. Especially when we blocked the teleportation,” Tang Shaoyang got a glimpse of the army. While he could not use Detection on them from such a distance, he could tell after a short observation.

Zara furrowed her brow, then she glanced at the army toward the north. What he said did make sense. All those armies were not God’s Ranks. If she had to estimate, there might be a few hundred or maybe a thousand God Ranks at most that were in the north. At most, a few thousand of God’s Ranks in the whole army.

“You still can’t underestimate them. It still has hundreds, if not thousands, of God Ranks. And you must remember these people have been in the God Ranks longer than you are! We don’t know what kind of people exist in this Shadow Star.” Zara still thought this war was a bad idea.

“I still have [Seven Souls], five more charges, and if it becomes too dangerous, I can switch places with Glodden or Artras.”

Zara wanted to say more, but Tang Shaoyang cut her off, “Let’s wait no more. They will get information from that one assassin who escaped earlier. We need to make our move before they do!”

Tang Shaoyang recalled all his spirits back as he used Black Flame Elemental Body. Then he used the third gate of Heavenly Gate – Heavenly Stride. With a single stride, he left a trail of black flame that mixed with the golden spark in the sky.

Within five seconds, Tang Shaoyang arrived on top of the army in the north. He was floating in the middle of the army that camped below, right at the center. The trail of black flame caught the army’s attention, and they spotted the figure above them. Everyone looked up at Tang Shaoyang, causing a commotion down below.

There might be around 150 to 200 thousand troops below. That was a quick estimation, and there was no way they were all God Ranks. That would make things easier for him as he had his way to screen the weaklings.

Tang Shaoyang opened his flamed wing in the shape of his dragon wings, then he dove into the ground. That caused an alarm down in the army, but before they could warn anyone, what happened. Tang Shaoyang landed on the ground, and the black flame erupted.

It was like a wave of a tsunami, but it was black flame instead of water. A giant wave of black flame spread out, burning everything on its path. Screams resounded, but some of them died before they could scream. The flame burned the body into ash, while some bodies survived the black flame, just the body with no life.

As Zara said, he didn’t underestimate the Shadow Star. He had seen that some of the people from the Shadow Star had Shadow Elemental Power. Or even without the Shadow Elemental Power, they could still hide in the shadows with a skill he didn’t know of. The God Ranks should be able to react in time and hide in the shadows, or maybe some of them were strong enough to survive his flame.

However, those in the Demi-God Rank and below would not survive. Maybe some of the strong Demi-God Rank would survive, but they would not be unscathed. His black flame swept the camp, and he could see with his Chaos Eyes how many survived from his attack.

It was fewer than three hundred people, and ninety percent of these people might be God Rank. If not for Zara being overly concerned, he might try to fight these people by himself, but he chose not to, not to make his girls worry.

Tang Shaoyang summoned his spirits and also the Skelly Family without the Skeleton Army, “You can do whatever you want! It’s a first-come, first-served, so don’t fight!”

The last warning was needed because his spirits might fight each other over the enemy. “There is more to come, so don’t fight. You will get your share!”

The first one to move was Doombringer. The Behemoth didn’t wait any longer as he roared and jumped into the air. However, the one who actually got the first kill was not him, but Keeper.

The Infernal Gunslinger changed his gun into sniper mode and shot the black beam. He aimed at the wounded ones, clearing out the wounded from the battlefield. More than thirty people fell into the Keeper’s hand.

The other spirits were afraid that they would not get their share, as they also moved out to fight. Only two spirits stayed behind, Zara and Avyn.

“You should integrate with me, so you can anticipate ambushes from them,” Zara was still concerned, even though Tang Shaoyang just wiped out an army by himself. More than a hundred thousand people died in a single move.

“They can’t ambush me when I have Absolute Sense, girls. You don’t need to worry about me, you can have fun too,” Tang Shaoyang squinted his eyes as he scanned the surroundings.

As Zara expected, there were some people who were watching him right now. Maybe they were waiting for a chance to ambush him, as she said. However, they were not doing a good job covering their track with how quickly he found them. It seemed Zara and Avyn also sensed these people.

The Goddess of Death clicked her tongue, truly annoyed at her man this time. She didn’t hide it, but then there was nothing she could do. She let out a sigh, “Then I will clean them out and ensure no one will be able to ambush you!”

Zara disappeared into her own shadow, leaving Tang Shaoyang with Avyn. She was at ease as long as Avyn was near him.

Avyn let out a chuckle, “You truly annoy her that much for her to show it like that. This was the first time I had seen her like this.”

Before Tang Shaoyang said anything, she added, “But I do agree that you are being too reckless. You can’t just start a war on a wimp like this. You must remember that your life is not yours alone anymore. There would be many who would be sad when they lose you. It’s not just about your wives, but also your daughters. You don’t want them to grow without their fathers, don’t you?”

“I know. They are the reason why I have to do this, and you know it too, Avyn.” Tang Shaoyang’s voice lost its playfulness, turned solemn, “This will remind the others not to touch my family just because they receive something. I need to show the God Realm what it means to touch my family!”

“And you don’t need to worry about the Ten Stars Accord. I have my plan for them as well, and they will not come to help the Shadow Star!”

Avyn didn’t know about the last part. Zara and she were worried about the Ten Stars Accord as well. If it were just the Shadow Star, Zara would not get that worried, but if the Ten Stars Accord was involved, this might be too big for a single person.

“Let’s hope your plan will work,” Avyn shrugged. She was worried, but not as worried as Zara. She knew Tang Shaoyang would not die here; he could not die here with his skills.
