Chapter 60: Abilities

The pillars of fire moved towards the mutated bear, burning the ground and leaving a trail of burnt marks behind it.

But when the pillars of fire got near the mutated bear, the mutated bear opened its mouth at the pillars of fire and a huge torrent of high pressured water shot out from it.

The water reacted with the fire and steam quickly filled the air, turning the surroundings into a white mist.

Slowly, the pillars of fire dissipated and it became impossible to see where the mutated bear through the steam that was everywhere.

Then, a gust of wind could be felt coming down at Alex and he quickly leaped away from where he was.

Boom.

The paw of the mutated bear slammed down onto the ground right in front of his eyes.

However, he had no time for a breather.

Another paw of the mutated bear came down at him and he leaped to the side.

While doing so, he pointed his hand and aimed his palm at the paw of the mutated bear.

Crackle.

The crackling sound of lightning could be heard and in the next instant, bright flashes lit up the surroundings when he unleashed lightning strikes at the paw of the mutated bear.

At such a close distance and with the velocity of the lightning strike being too fast for the mutated bear, it hit onto the paw of the mutated bear and blew off a portion of it.

The mutated bear gave out a roar in pain and it opened its mouth at Alex.

Alex knew what was about to happen next and he quickly got away from where he was.

Boom.

The ground exploded when the torrent of high pressured water cut through the ground and left a deep depression into it.

It didn’t stop and the mutated bear moved its head to get the high pressure water coming close to Alex.

The high pressure water annihilated everything on the ground in its trail getting towards him.

Alex moved away from where he was to dodge it and at the same time a slit appeared right on top of the mutated bear’s head.

It opened up into a portal and a few lightning strikes descended down at the mutated bear from it.

The lightning strike hit and blew off some of the flesh of the mutated bear but it didn’t do much other than that.

Blood soaked the fur of the mutated bear’s head wet and it shook its head vigorously to get itself out of the shock from the lightning strikes.

Meanwhile, Riley and the others had also unleashed their abilities at the mutated bear.

Huge bubbles appeared in front of Riley and flew at it.

Brian waved his hands down and the few pillars of fire also started moving.

Next to him, Terry created a few huge metallic blocks and he flung them at the mutated bear.

With all of these coming at it from all directions, the mutated bear stopped what it was doing, stood up on its hind legs and gave out a roar.

After it did so, a volume of water appeared, engulfed its body and turned into a sphere.

Boom.

When the bubbles from Riley came into contact with the water sphere, the explosion made parts of the water sphere splash out into the surroundings but it wasn’t able to reach the mutated bear.

Next came the pillars of fire and the fire reacted with the sphere of water violently when they came into contact with each other.

Steam appeared and a white mist quickly filled the surroundings.

But as time went by, the pillars of fire couldn’t advance any further and they were slowly dissipating after reacting with the water sphere.

Splash.

The metallic blocks of Terry came right after, and they caused a huge splash when they hit into the sphere of water.

Alex saw an opening at the abdomen of the mutated bear where the water had splashed out into the surroundings, and he quickly unleashed whatever he got at it.

Two slits appeared aiming at the spot and he raised his hands with his palms pointing to the abdomen.

Within a split second, at least ten bolts of lightning strikes hit at the same area.

They hit onto the abdomen of the mutated bear and they blew off much of the fur and flesh from it.

Innards of the mutated bear then dropped out from the abdomen and landed onto the ground.

It was not the only thing to drop.

The water sphere also disintegrated and the water splashed all over onto the surroundings.

With such a serious wound on its body, the mutated bear wasn’t able to sustain the water sphere to protect itself anymore.

It gave out a loud roar in pain and thrashed about aimlessly.

The sacs that were protruding out of the mutated bear’s fur started to break and a green gas was emitted out from them.

Everything that the green gas touched began to be dissolved by it.

Alex used one of his storage portals to absorb the green gas that was coming at him and he used the other storage portal to continue attacking the mutated bear.

The other storage portal appeared on top of the mutated bear’s head, and a few lightning strikes shot out from the portal.

Finally, when the lightning strikes landed, they blew off the top right portion of the mutated bear’s head.

However, it wasn’t enough to bring it down.

Alex didn’t stop, and huge bubbles continued to descend onto the mutated bear’s head from his storage portal.

Boom.

The bubbles exploded when they hit onto the head of the mutated bear, and they took out the lower right half of the head.

Now with only half of its head intact, the mutated bear started to stagger and walk aimlessly. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

The ground shook with every step it took but that didn’t last for too long.

After it moved a few meters, it stopped and fell onto its side, crushing down onto some of the cars that were parked in their parking lots.

Alex glanced at the body of the mutated bear and pondered.

It had two abilities instead of one unlike those they had encountered before.
