Chapter 415: Chapter 415: Juicer

Lily Hart wandered over to the other stalls, but almost every single one was packed.

Except for things like candied hawthorns, which sold so quickly you didn’t need to line up.

For everything else, the lines were incredibly long. Some people were even wandering around, eating as they walked.

Groups of friends would split up: one would line up for fried skewers, another for wavy-cut potatoes, a third for stinky tofu, and someone else for grilled cold noodles or savory crepes.

Then they’d all eat together once they had everything. It was pretty fun!

’Sigh. Forget it. I’ll just skip dinner tomorrow and come to the night market specifically to feast. And I’ll have to come earlier.’

As she was heading back, the owner of the Zhengxin Chicken Cutlet stall called out to her, "Boss Hart, want a serving?"

Lily Hart dazedly walked over and took it. By the time she realized what was happening, she was already eating it.

When she passed a milk tea shop, she was called over again and handed a large cup of lemon tea.

It was actually a great combination—a bite of chicken cutlet followed by a sip of ice-cold lemon tea.

Passing a cake shop, a small cake was hung on her pinky—the kind that was just the right size for one person.

This also happened to fulfill her wish to feast at the night market.

Arriving outside the lottery shop, she had just finished the small bag of chicken cutlet when she happened to see someone win a "Night Market Machine" from a scratch-off.

’Hm, looks like Silverwing Base is a holy land for foodies too. It’s all Night Market Machines.’

With a lemon tea in one hand and a small cake in the other, she walked toward the female stall owner.

The stall owner was busy trying to figure out how to use the machine when she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around.

She was instantly overjoyed. "Ah, Boss Hart, do you have telepathy or something? You showed up the moment I claimed my prize!"

Lily Hart just smiled without saying anything. It was just a coincidence.

’Bullshit telepathy.’

Seeing Boss Hart smile, the stall owner took it as confirmation. ’This Boss Hart is just too incredible.’

’Is there anything in this world she doesn’t know?’

’Ah, right, how to use the machine.’ The stall owner’s wandering thoughts were forcibly pulled back.

While the owner was lost in her wild imagination, Lily Hart had already started studying the machine.

She discovered it was a juicer—one that could juice any fruit you threw into it!

’Probably like those fruit teas? But much purer.’

’But where would the fruit come from?’

The moment the machine started, Lily Hart realized she had been worrying for nothing.

Machines produced by the System never required you to worry about raw materials.

Things like the fried skewer stalls, sausage grillers, and the machines for grilled cold noodles and stinky tofu—they all came with their own ingredients.

So advanced!

So the two of them started to wait. The entire juicer was sealed and opaque, making it impossible to see what was happening inside.

They only heard a RUMBLE, and the cup at the dispenser was filled.

It was a vivid green, and it looked a little unappetizing.

Both of them frowned in unison. The stall owner said, "What kind of juice is this? It looks weird."

Lily Hart, ever the curious one, picked it up and took a sip, smacking her lips. "It’s pretty sweet. I think it’s sugarcane juice."

There wasn’t a bit of pulp, just a pure sugarcane flavor that wasn’t overly sweet.

The stall owner saw Lily Hart taking sip after sip, as if the stuff was delicious.

"I’ll try some too," the stall owner said, grabbing a new disposable plastic cup.

Lily Hart poured half for her. "Go on and try it. None of them taste bad!"

The stall owner took a sip, her eyes lighting up. It really was pretty good, so she downed the rest in one gulp.

She placed the disposable plastic cup at the dispenser again and pressed the start button once more.

With another RUMBLE, the cup was filled again, this time with a pale yellow liquid.

Lily Hart could already smell lemon. She didn’t like sour things, so she said, "You try it."

The stall owner, believing Lily’s earlier claim that "none of them taste bad," picked it up and took a big gulp.

She winced from the sourness. "Eek, what is this? It’s a little too sour!"

But then she savored the aftertaste. "Actually, it gets kind of sweet at the end. Still, the first cup was better."

Seeing her little trick succeed, Lily Hart’s eyes curved into a smile. She put a hand on the stall owner’s shoulder and pointed toward the night market.

"You can set up a stall over there. I’m sure they’ll love it. Then, get a hotel room and rest up. From now on, you’re with me~"

The stall owner’s eyes filled with tears. Those words gave her such a sense of belonging.

She nodded emphatically, then pushed her juicer and strode purposefully toward the night market.

Lily Hart watched her go, then turned and strode purposefully onto the RV herself.

She expected to be greeted by an empty RV, but it turned out to be completely full.

The living room was exactly as it had been before she left.

These people hadn’t even moved an inch; they were all glued to their Light Brains, playing "Catch the Goose"!

’Is this right? Aren’t they supposed to be watching the shop?’

She cleared her throat lightly, but no one paid any attention. Everyone was completely focused on catching the goose.

She coughed again, more loudly this time. Seth, who was closest, looked up for a second before his head instinctively dropped back down to his game.

A moment later, he finally processed it and looked up, his eyes glazed over. "Boss Hart, when did you go out?"

Lily Hart didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. His question finally drew everyone’s attention.

They all still seemed a bit out of it. ’Huh, how did time pass so fast while playing "Catch the Goose"?!’

Lily Hart crossed her arms. "What did I say before? Don’t get addicted to games. Just look at you all! Every single one of you!"

Her words made them lower their heads in shame. But her very next sentence was...

"So, did you catch the goose?" Lily Hart’s tone suddenly shifted as she asked curiously.

They all shook their heads in unison. "No, it’s too hard."

Owen Warren, who had little patience, turned off his Light Brain and rubbed his temples. "I’m done trying to catch it."

Roman Rowe, on the other hand, was full of fighting spirit. "I’m definitely catching this goose tonight!"

Frost Shaw remained silent, her little hands still tapping away on the screen.

Leo Colby was also tapping away. His current round looked very promising; there were only a few items left in the pot.

Seth and Stan Sterling had already turned off their Light Brains, their brains and eyeballs aching from staring at the screen.

They’d given up!

Although, it was only temporary.

Lily Hart tutted twice and shook her head, giving them an exasperated look of disappointment.

She started heading upstairs. After going up several steps, she saw that everyone was still sitting there dumbly and couldn’t help but worry.

’No way, did the game fry their brains?’

’Why do I get the feeling that these High-level Superpower Users aren’t as impressive as the ones in other post-apocalyptic novels?’

’They all seem like a bunch of doofuses.’ Lily Hart shook her head again. "What are you still sitting around for? Go wash up and get to bed! Have you even looked at the time!"

Her shouting snapped them out of it. They all shook their heads, thinking, ’We really can’t play this game.’

’There must be some trick to it, otherwise how could it be so addictive?’

’Something’s not right. It’s really not right.’

Despite these thoughts, they would still sling an arm over a buddy’s shoulder and ask, "So, how’s the goose-catching going?"

Upon discovering the other person wasn’t doing very well either, they would secretly breathe a sigh of relief.

After showering and washing her hair, Lily Hart lay in bed feeling refreshed.

She opened "Catch the Goose." Since it was logged in with her Light Brain account, she could see her friends’ leaderboard.

Currently, the person with the fastest progress and highest completion rate, ranked number one, was Leo Colby at 90%.

Second was Frost Shaw, with 86%.
