Apocalypse: I'm Bound to a Mobile Lottery Shop
Chapter 413: My Favorite is Frost Shaw
Chapter 413: Chapter 413: My Favorite is Frost Shaw
She thought about it. It wasn’t that she had a favorite, or even someone she disliked—she appreciated all handsome men equally.
But since Frost Shaw had asked, she didn’t want to hurt his feelings.
"I like you the most," Lily Hart said, a little guiltily.
But Frost Shaw didn’t notice at all. Overjoyed, he released her and met her gaze. "Really?"
Lily Hart nodded, and before she could even make a peep, he eagerly pulled her in for a kiss.
As the kiss deepened, Frost Shaw’s hand slipped around her waist, and she thought things were about to escalate.
But nothing did. He just rested his hand there for a moment before letting her go, panting, his face flushed and his heart racing.
His face bright red, he turned his back to her. Curious, Lily Hart circled around to his side, looked him up and down, and nodded in satisfaction.
She reached out and poked his ear. "We’ve kissed so many times. Aren’t you used to it yet?"
Her words only made Frost Shaw feel even more bashful...
He didn’t speak, silently turning around again to calm himself down.
Lily Hart, intent on teasing him, circled around to his front again and threw her arms around him. "What’s wrong? Afraid to face me?"
She then cupped his hot face with both hands, stood on her tiptoes, and planted a few kisses on his cheeks and lips.
Frost Shaw stared into her lively eyes, and unable to hold back any longer, he kissed her hard.
The two of them dawdled in the bathroom for a long time. Finally, Lily Hart remembered the real reason she had come in.
To wash her hands!
They had just kissed, and in the intimate moment that followed, Frost Shaw offered, "I’ll help you."
So he adjusted the water to a comfortable temperature, took her hands in his, and held them under the faucet.
Though he claimed to be helping her wash her hands, it was more like their hands were just playing with each other. By the time they finally finished, the front of Frost Shaw’s shirt was soaked.
"Is that a problem?" Lily Hart asked, wrapping one arm around his waist and leaning against him. Her gaze was fixed on the wet spot, burning with intensity.
"It’s not..." Noticing her burning gaze, Frost Shaw corrected himself, "It is. I’m afraid I’ll catch a cold."
Anyone hearing this would die laughing. The world’s only Ice Ability User, and he was afraid of catching a cold?
Hearing this, Lily Hart laughed. She enthusiastically pulled out a few paper towels.
"Then I’ll dry it for you." Holding the paper towels, Lily Hart lifted his shirt with one hand, slipping it underneath to press against the fabric from the inside while her other hand wiped the outside.
As she wiped, Lily Hart’s hands found their way to his abs.
Feeling her touch, Frost Shaw’s mind went a little fuzzy. Unable to resist, he pressed her against the wall and kissed her again and again.
After another long session of dawdling, the two finally left the bathroom, one after the other.
Before coming out, Frost Shaw opened the door a crack to see if anyone else was outside.
It wasn’t that he was afraid of being found out, but that he didn’t want anyone else to see Lily Hart looking like this.
Her twin pigtails were a little messy, her face was flushed, and her lips were slightly swollen. She looked so cute!
The two sat on the sofa. Frost Shaw’s hands were itching to do something, so he gave one of her pigtails a little tug. ’This hairstyle is so cute,’ he thought.
"It’s a little messy. Want me to re-tie it for you?"
"You know how?" Lily Hart looked at him skeptically, her expression full of distrust.
At her look, Frost Shaw puffed out his chest. "Of course I do. I used to do Diana Sharp’s and Tina Jacobs’ hair."
Diana Sharp, spinning on a high stool to face them, held up one finger. "Just once. After that, Tina and I just did each other’s hair."
Frost Shaw coughed lightly. "Still counts, doesn’t it?"
Lily Hart was barely convinced. "Alright, fine. Give it a shot." She pulled a low stool over and sat in front of him.
He mentally prepared himself for a moment before undoing one of the pigtails, carefully pulling off the hair tie.
Using his fingers as a comb, with a hint of practiced skill amidst his clumsiness, he began to re-tie Lily Hart’s pigtail.
Surprisingly, he really did know how, but only just barely. It came out loose and crooked.
Frost Shaw stroked his chin, studying his work for a moment. He then placed his hands on her shoulders, stopping her from getting up.
"Wait, let me try one more time," Frost Shaw said.
So Lily Hart sat obediently. If she were on the sofa, she’d just be playing on her Light Brain and eating fruit anyway.
Letting him play with her hair was no big deal. This time was much better than the last.
Lily Hart gave it a quick glance. It looked about as good as she could do it herself. Most importantly, it was the same height as the other pigtail.
The skill involved spoke for itself, didn’t it?
"Not bad. You deserve a reward," Lily Hart said, picking up a cherry tomato and popping it into his mouth.
Frost Shaw subconsciously opened his mouth. The burst of flavor from the tomato, combined with her sweet smile, struck a chord in his heart.
He secretly decided his favorite fruits were now pears—and cherry tomatoes!
Lily Hart settled back down. "Okay, can you redo the other one, too? It feels a little weird otherwise."
This time, Frost Shaw was full of confidence and finished quickly. Lily Hart opened the camera on her Light Brain.
She looked from side to side. He’d actually done a good job—not too loose, not too tight.
Frost Shaw thought she was taking a selfie and naturally leaned in, fitting himself perfectly into the frame.
Lily Hart suddenly thought it was a great picture, and her hand moved faster than her brain as she pressed the button.
And just like that, they had their first photo together.
"Send it to me, send it to me," Frost Shaw said, and received her message a moment later.
Looking at the photo, he couldn’t help but grin like an idiot. ’Heh heh,’ he thought, ’the pigtails I tied, the cherry tomato she fed me.’
Such a handsome couple. It was such a pleasant photo to look at, with faint smiles on both their faces.
The more Frost Shaw looked at it, the more he liked it. He silently saved it. ’I don’t want anyone else to see this!’
Lily Hart put away her Light Brain. "Huh? Aren’t you going back to the convenience store?"
Truthfully, Frost Shaw didn’t want to go back. He wanted to stay here and be lovey-dovey with Lily Hart, but he knew she didn’t like people like that.
She preferred people who could stand on their own two feet.
Frost Shaw came up from behind, cupped her face with one hand, and planted a kiss on her cheek.
"I’m heading back then~" ’You’d better miss me~’
He didn’t say the last part out loud. If she was going to miss him, she would; if not, then she wouldn’t.
"Okay, see you tonight~" Lily Hart, sitting on the low stool, waved at him.
The sight of her from this angle, unsurprisingly, struck Frost Shaw as adorable again, and he felt the urge to kiss her once more.
But Frost Shaw resisted. Without looking back, he strode out of the lottery shop.
Lily Hart got up and sat where Frost Shaw had just been, scrolling through her Light Brain with one hand and eating fruit with the other.
She felt the Light Brain was still too boring; there was no real entertainment on it.
There was only the [Human Social Sphere], and it was all just news.
Luckily, her bursting onto the scene had added a lot of fun to the app.
Before, it was always news about a High-level Zombie appearing in this city, or High-level mutant plants and animals appearing around that base.
It was always bad news, telling everyone to be careful and stay vigilant.
It would be great if it was like the civilized era, with fun games to play and entertaining videos to scroll through.
’But if that were the case, wouldn’t everyone get addicted and not want to kill zombies anymore?’
’But I could also... use a paid model?’
’For example, offer memberships, a monthly subscription, to motivate people?’
’That seems a little cruel, though. There’s finally a relaxing app, and I’m going to charge for it?’
