Chapter 405: Chapter 405: First Prize 4S Store

The moment Frost Shaw met her gaze, his bravado vanished.

He sat down beside her, looking aggrieved, and tugged at the hem of her clothes, asking in a low voice, "Boss Hart, where did you go for lunch? Why didn’t you come back to eat?"

Lily Hart breathed a sigh of relief and answered honestly, "Oh, I ate at the bathhouse. It’s nice to have a change of pace once in a while."

Frost Shaw’s heart skipped a beat. He felt there was a hidden meaning in her words.

"So, is the food at the bathhouse any good? Is it as good as mine?" Frost Shaw asked sincerely.

His handsome eyes, sparkling as if filled with countless stars, gazed at her.

’What am I supposed to say? I think they’re both delicious. This kid is learning to play coy with me now, too.’

"They’re both delicious," Lily Hart said, also sincerely, as she quietly averted her gaze, unable to meet his.

’I can’t stand this kid’s stare.’

Frost Shaw sighed and took her hand. "But what if you had to choose one?"

"They’re both delicious," Lily Hart repeated. ’They really are both delicious, I can’t choose at all! I want both!’

Lily Hart teased, "Only children make choices. Adults, of course, want it all."

’It all, she wants it all? Does she need so much?’ Frost Shaw thought.

’Isn’t one of me enough? I could maybe, grudgingly, add Roman Rowe to the mix, but if she wants everyone... isn’t that too many...’

Frost Shaw silently counted on his fingers in his mind. One by one, he tallied them up. It really was quite a few.

’But... is this right?’

’If it’s Boss Hart, though, it doesn’t seem wrong. Everything she does is right. It’s just that my own heart aches a little.’

’Forget it, I just need to get over it. I’ve known from the beginning that Boss Hart doesn’t belong to anyone.’

’Who she’s close to, who she likes—that’s her freedom. No one can interfere.’

’Since it’s like that, I should just try to be more open-minded. Being able to have Boss Hart for even a second is already a great fortune. No, I want to be a little greedier.’

’I want to have her for many, many minutes...’

Frost Shaw suddenly fell silent, just wordlessly holding Lily Hart’s hand. "What’s wrong?" she asked.

"Ah, it’s nothing. I was just lost in thought," Frost Shaw said, making something up on the spot.

Lily Hart’s lips twitched. ’Hm? I’m right here, and you’re spacing out? Getting lost in thought? Let’s see what this is all about.’

She lifted his chin, meeting his sparkling eyes. They were completely open and honest, with no other thoughts or emotions in them.

They were filled with only her.

’Not bad.’

Lily Hart praised him in her heart. She was fine, examining him closely, but Frost Shaw grew shy under her stare and shifted back a little.

Just as she was about to speak, Diana Sharp interrupted at an inopportune moment. "Lily, someone scratched off a first prize."

Both of them jumped in surprise, their heads snapping in her direction in unison.

Stared at so intently, Diana Sharp thought she must have said something wrong. She touched her nose awkwardly. "What’s wrong?"

Lily Hart stood up. "Nothing." Then she headed out of the RV.

She wanted to see for herself what this new first prize was. Honestly, she couldn’t even imagine what kind of first prize it could be at this point.

There were already so many types of food prizes. What else could there be?

The author really couldn’t think of anything, even if they racked their brain.

Full of doubt, Lily Hart stepped down from the RV. Her eyes fell on a woman with a slight limp, hair that was neither long nor short, and eyes that were neither large nor small.

A very ordinary appearance.

Lily Hart instinctively lifted her head and walked closer to her. "You’re the one who scratched off the first prize? What is it?" She was genuinely curious!

It looked like she hadn’t taken it out yet.

Maybe she had put it away again? After all, she was surrounded only by curious onlookers; nothing looked like a prize.

The woman leaned closer to Lily Hart, as if to share a secret, and said, "I think it’s a 4S dealership."

"Huh?" Lily Hart didn’t quite catch that. ’An "S" what? She’s not cursing at me, is she?’

The woman had to repeat herself, raising her voice this time. "A 4S dealership! For selling cars!" This time Lily Hart heard her clearly. Selling cars!

She really hadn’t expected this kind of prize. It wasn’t food, and it wasn’t for fun. It was actually quite practical. She liked it!

’I just don’t know if the prices are high. If they’re not, wouldn’t everyone be able to get a car and drive on the roads?’

’No, that’s not right. With so many zombies and obstacles on the road, driving isn’t realistic.’

’Then who would these cars be sold to? Who would use them?’

’You can’t just drive them around inside the base, can you? That seems like a bit of a waste.’

Never mind. Lily Hart couldn’t be bothered with all that; she just really wanted to see what this 4S dealership the woman was talking about looked like.

She pulled the woman along to the end of the row of shops and said to her, "Alright, let it out."

The woman nodded and released the miniaturized 4S dealership. After it hit the ground, it instantly grew larger and larger, revealing a transparent glass building. It was huge.

Bigger than any of the previous shops.

Inside the square glass building were several cars of all different models and colors, like a massive auto show.

"WAH! WAH! WAH! WAH!" the woman shrieked. She had clearly never seen such a spectacle before. She dragged her limping leg and tried to rush inside, but Lily Hart grabbed her and held her back.

Lily Hart looked at her limp, which was on her right foot, and asked, "What happened to your foot?"

The woman looked a little embarrassed and hesitated. "I was in a car accident before the apocalypse. It’s been like this for a long time. But luckily, I awakened a superpower right when the apocalypse started, so no one could bully me."

Lily Hart nodded in understanding. "Why don’t we go to the clinic and see if we can get that treated?"

The woman was surprised. "This can be treated? Actually, I wanted to go try at first, but I saw there were too many people and the line was super, super long... so I didn’t go."

"Let’s go." Lily Hart pulled her toward the clinic.

Soon, the two of them arrived in front of the clinic. Just as the woman had said, it was packed with people, and the line was incredibly long. But she was the boss.

She pulled the woman straight inside.

Seeing this, Roman Rowe immediately stood up and greeted Lily Hart, his mouth opening to ask, "Boss Hart, where were you this afternoon? I didn’t see you come back for lunch!"

Lily Hart explained, "I just went to check out the bathhouse for a bit, then came back. I just happened to miss lunchtime."

’The bathhouse? That Zombie King’s place again.’

He knew Owen Warren also had designs on Lily Hart. It was just too obvious, okay? He looked like he wanted to swallow her whole!

"Oh..." Roman Rowe said unhappily. "Alright then. So why are you here this time...?"

Lily Hart revealed the woman behind her. "I brought her here to get treated."

Roman Rowe was puzzled. "Huh? What’s wrong with her?" He looked her up and down but didn’t see anything different. Oh, her right foot had a slight limp.

But if you didn’t look closely, you couldn’t really tell, especially since she was wearing wide-legged pants that covered it up.

"Fine, come on over." Roman Rowe didn’t ask who she was or how she got injured. She was someone Boss Hart brought, so he just had to do as he was told.

"Go on." Lily Hart raised her eyebrows at the woman, who obediently went forward.

Roman Rowe led the woman directly to a Treatment Pod. After the person inside came out, he put her straight in.
