Chapter 406: Chapter 406: Healing

While the woman was being treated, Roman Rowe and Lily Hart were chatting outside. "Did this girl win a first prize, too?"

As far as he knew, only people who won a first prize got this kind of special treatment. Otherwise, she could have just queued up on her own. Why did Boss Hart have to escort her personally?

Lily Hart nodded. "Yes, and it’s a car dealership. It’s full of vehicles. I saw all sorts of colors and models—SUVs, off-road vehicles, buses, minibuses, motorcycles, bicycles, electric bikes."

"That many?" Roman Rowe asked in surprise.

Lily Hart shrugged and smiled. "Actually, I’m just guessing. Right now, there are only SUVs, sedans, and off-road vehicles. The others are what I think will show up after an upgrade, haha."

"If Boss Hart says they’ll be there, then they’ll definitely be there!" Roman Rowe said with conviction.

She was pleased by his words and broke into a happy smile. Just then, the door of the Treatment Pod opened, and the woman hopped out, staring at her right foot in astonishment.

Her right instep and ankle had been somewhat deformed, but after the treatment, they had been restored to their original state!

The woman had thought she would be like this for the rest of her life. When she saw the clinic today, she had just come with the attitude of giving it a try, not actually expecting it could be cured.

After all, she’d had this limp for so long...

’I can’t believe it... This Treatment Pod is just like they say online. It can cure any illness, regardless of whether it’s a new injury or an old one, minor or severe.’

’As long as you’re still breathing when you’re carried in and have enough Crystal Cores in your pocket, you’ll come out good as new.’

’What a great Treatment Pod—it only cares about Crystal Cores, not your injuries.’

The woman hopped and jumped around, getting used to her brand-new right foot. It took her a while to adjust.

She suddenly walked toward Lily Hart and threw herself at her, weeping with gratitude. "Boss Hart, thank you."

Lily Hart instinctively caught her, steadied her, and looked her over. "Are you all right?"

The woman nodded excitedly. "Yes, I’m great! It’s just a little hard to get used to all at once."

Lily Hart chuckled. "It’s like that at first. You’ll get used to it. Why don’t you walk around a bit more? Let’s walk from here to the dealership."

"Okay, okay!" The woman was incredibly excited now and idolized Lily Hart. She would do whatever Lily said.

It wasn’t that she hadn’t sought out Healing System superpower users before; they all said it couldn’t be cured and could only alleviate the pain at best.

She truly never expected to be completely cured in one visit here.

"By the way, Boss Hart, my name is Fiona Finch. I’m a Seventh-rank Superpower User, so I can protect you, hehe!" Fiona Finch said with a grin.

When Roman Rowe heard someone else offering to protect Boss Hart, he immediately raised his hand. "I’m at the Seventh Rank, too!"

Lily Hart looked at him. "Oh, you’re at the Seventh Rank now? Congratulations!"

She remembered he was at the Sixth Rank when she first met him. Now he had finally reached the Seventh Rank.

Back then, Frost Shaw was at the Seventh Rank, and now he seemed to be approaching the Ninth Rank. The same went for Owen Warren, who was already at the Tenth Rank.

’Okay, not bad. They’re all very hardworking young men,’ Lily Hart praised them in her heart.

Then, she led Fiona Finch toward the dealership. Thinking that Fiona might still be getting used to her newly healed foot, Lily deliberately slowed her pace.

Fiona Finch thought this was just how Boss Hart walked, slow and unhurried, so she slowed her pace as well.

She stayed by her side, and one step at a time, they finally made their way leisurely to the dealership.

It had been a long time since Fiona Finch had walked so slowly.

Although she had a limp, it didn’t really affect her walking much. She was usually a bundle of energy, always rushing about.

’It’s nice to slow down for once,’ she thought.

The two of them arrived in front of the dealership again. Peering inside through the bright glass, they couldn’t help but sigh in amazement.

It was a massive glass room, with no division between a first and second floor.

They pushed the door open and went inside. Many cars were parked within, arranged in a staggered yet orderly fashion.

Fiona Finch was a bit dazed. "Are... are all of these mine? I’m the owner? Is... is this for real? It doesn’t feel real."

She rubbed her cheeks, still finding it hard to believe that such incredible luck had fallen upon her.

Lily Hart also rubbed her face. "It’s real. Why would it be fake?"

She took her hand and led her to the nearest car. They both spread their palms and placed them on the hood.

The cool metallic touch, the exquisite and delicate workmanship—one look at the material told you it was built to last.

The two of them walked a full circle around the all-black off-road vehicle. The more Lily Hart looked at it, the more she liked it, and the cooler she thought it was.

After they had both admired it to their hearts’ content, Fiona Finch opened her Light Brain and followed Lily Hart’s instructions.

She found the description of the car. Most of it was standard information, like the model type and seating capacity.

The last few lines caught Lily Hart’s attention: It could withstand an unlimited number of attacks from zombies below the Fifth Rank.

The Fifth Rank was a watershed moment.

Not just for humans, but for zombies as well. Very few zombies could cross the threshold of the Fifth Rank.

This description was truly tempting. At the very least, seeing it made her want to own one.

Let alone those humans who spent all year outside killing zombies.

This feature alone made it a dream car, not to mention its appearance, material, and workmanship were truly top-tier.

The two of them praised the car from top to bottom, including every aspect of its interior. ℴℴ𝘮

’A car this good... how many Crystal Cores would it cost?’

’Could anyone even afford it? Or would there be a rental service too?’

The two of them began researching on the Light Brain. There were options to both buy and rent cars.

It was also very thoughtful, offering installment plans with options like twenty-four or thirty-six interest-free payments.

After all, it was a big-ticket item; people’s financial situations had to be taken into consideration.

Take the black off-road vehicle that Lily Hart liked so much, for example. If you wanted to buy it outright...

It would cost about 340,000 points, which converted to 3,400 Crystal Cores—not a small sum.

Even if you killed one zombie a day, for 365 zombies a year... good grief, it would still take over nine years!

Besides, you have to rest sometimes. You’re bound to get tired. It’s impossible to go out killing zombies every single day.

Lily Hart thought it was quite expensive for the average person.

A Light Brain cost around 50,000 to 100,000 points. This car was so much more expensive than a Light Brain!

No wonder Light Brains were common, but cars weren’t.

Since arriving in the apocalypse, she had barely seen any cars, and the few she had were all battered and broken, looking like they had been repaired countless times.

Thinking about it that way, the price was justifiable.

This off-road vehicle was in the mid-to-high price range for the store, which meant there must be cheaper ones.

You could buy one for just over 100,000 points, and some didn’t even cost that much.

But they just weren’t as good-looking or as durable...

After getting a general understanding, Lily Hart gave Fiona Finch a heads-up. "Your shop isn’t like the others. Selling cars... business won’t be that easy. You might not even make a single sale in a day."

This was to prevent her from coming to her crying if business was bad later on. She couldn’t stand seeing girls cry.

Fiona Finch was already mentally prepared. She looked around the dealership and nodded in agreement. "I know, Boss Hart. After all, they’re so expensive. Not everyone can afford one."
