The man was taken aback, but the person in front of him had a very similar build to the one he’d seen before. He didn’t want to let this opportunity slip away.

"If that’s what you say, then where is your sister?"

"Bro, who is it? They’ve been out there for so long."

Moira Lynch walked out of the bedroom, rubbing her eyes.

When he saw Moira Lynch, a flash of astonishment appeared in the man’s eyes.

Setting aside her looks, after awakening her talents three times, consuming countless rare items, and undergoing numerous body purifications, Moira Lynch’s aura alone was enough to be a breath of fresh air.

However, in the past, he might have been in the mood to appreciate it, but now...

The astonishment in his eyes was fleeting. The man’s gaze shifted back and forth between the two of them.

"If you’re siblings, why don’t you look alike at all?"

If they were truly siblings, especially full-blooded ones with the same mother and father, they would have at least some resemblance.

"Sir, it’s not like we get to decide what we look like. If you don’t believe us, feel free to investigate our records. Now, please leave. We need to get ready for breakfast."

With that, Hugh Finch unceremoniously slammed the door shut.

Because of the "noise sickness," everyone was on edge lately, so Hugh Finch’s abrupt action actually lessened some of the man’s suspicions.

After all, the person from yesterday could move objects with their mind and vanish into thin air. Someone like that would absolutely not be affected by noise sickness.

But Hugh Finch’s similar build and the familiar feeling he gave off still hadn’t completely dispelled the man’s doubts.

"Wait until they’re gone, then have someone go in and search the place. Remember, don’t tip them off."

Yesterday, the items in the underground vault vanished into thin air. The surveillance was destroyed beforehand, and all the eyewitnesses were dead, so they had no leads.

However, based on the previous telekinesis and teleportation, they speculated that the person possessed a special ability to take a large number of items in a short time, like spatial folding or something similar.

But there had to be limits to using such an ability.

Furthermore, judging by the items the person demanded and the Medicine they provided, they were almost certain that the culprit was likely some scientist who, by a twist of fate, had acquired the technology to create the Medicine and manipulate space.

If that was truly the case, they had even more reason to find this person.

To get that technology from them, either to fulfill their own ambitions or to exchange it for immense wealth.

While waiting for Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch to leave, the man had his subordinates investigate their backgrounds.

The file contained their photos, as well as photos of their parents.

Moira Lynch had photoshopped a picture of her own father with Hugh Finch’s mother, then fabricated some biographical details to make the file look flawless.

The man looked at the couple in the photo, then thought back to the pair he’d just met. One took the father’s last name, the other took the mother’s. One looked like the father, the other like the mother.

’Could I really have been wrong?’

A few minutes later, Moira Lynch and Hugh Finch left the room and headed toward the dining hall.

As they entered the dining hall, a wave of pleasant music washed over them.

"The decor in here is different," Moira Lynch said, looking around. "Even the noise has died down quite a bit."

The noise she was referring to was, of course, the static that constantly rang in their ears.

"Not only that," Hugh Finch said. "Look at the faces of the people eating here. They all seem much more relaxed."

The scene reminded him of how things were at the very beginning of the game.

"It seems they’ve taken special measures because of the conflicts a few days ago, to keep things from getting worse."

And the secret to it was probably hidden in the suddenly changed decor.

The two found a table against the wall.

The once-white walls were now pink and covered in lots of shiny white things.

Looking closer, these shiny things were a type of white crushed stone.

She searched for it on her wrist-screen and got an answer a moment later.

It turned out the stones were called Sound-absorbing stone, which could absorb sound to a certain extent and reduce the presence of noise.

Moira Lynch’s eyes lit up when she read this. ’This is good stuff,’ she thought.

Her desire to shop was stirring again.

But after she finished reading the full description of the Sound-absorbing stone, she instantly dismissed the thought.

As the saying goes, what goes in must come out; what is absorbed must be released.

The noise absorbed by the Sound-absorbing stone didn’t just disappear; it was vented out through other channels.

To put it simply, to make the room quiet, all the noise was being transferred outside.

As they were enjoying their delicious breakfast, Moira Lynch suddenly said, "Those people went into our room just now."

"Didn’t we already move everything out? What’s there to be afraid of?" Hugh Finch said nonchalantly.

"I’m not afraid of them finding anything. It’s that they planted bugs in the room before they left. They didn’t even spare the bedroom or the bathroom."

At this, Moira Lynch’s brow furrowed slightly. ’Putting a bug in the living room is understandable, and even the bedroom makes sense, but the bathroom? That’s just weird. Do they need to listen in on bathroom breaks too?’

"When we get back, find a chance to get rid of the bugs. Leave one or two so they don’t get suspicious."

Hearing this, Moira Lynch nodded. "Leave it to me. I’m good at this."

After breakfast, the two didn’t immediately return to their room.

Moira Lynch took Hugh Finch to the supermarket, where they first bought a huge pile of snacks and two cases of mineral water.

Then they went to the sporting goods section and bought a set of badminton rackets and some shuttlecocks.

On their way out, Moira Lynch saw baseball bats on a shelf and grabbed two of them, along with a baseball.

After they returned to their hotel room, even though the men had put everything back where they found it, someone like Moira Lynch or Hugh Finch could spot the flaws all over the room with a single glance.

"Bro, it’s so boring just staying in the hotel. Let’s play badminton," Moira Lynch said, intentionally raising her voice.

"You’ll disturb the guests downstairs. Be careful, or they’ll complain," Hugh Finch said disapprovingly.

"Oh, it’ll be fine! I checked before we came up. There’s nobody staying in the room below us, so we won’t get any complaints," Moira Lynch said coaxingly.

"Fine, fine. But you have to promise me you won’t ask to go to dangerous places like that bar again, understand?" Hugh Finch replied with a reluctant sigh.

At that, Moira Lynch cheered, "Hooray! Let’s get started then."
