Ancient Tears BloodLine
Chapter 1676: The Giant Tower Veteran’s End
United City (Main Post)
Both the middle-aged man and I retreated backward. I held the white bone staff tightly in my hand.
The middle-aged man realized that it would not be easy to defeat the young lightning warrior.
So, he decided not to hold back his inheritance technique.
Boom!
He executed one of the techniques from the Giant Tower Inheritance. His body was covered in golden energy.
The golden energy surged forth, and his body began to expand as well. He grew up to 9 ft tall, looking like a giant.
Boom!
He took a step forward. When his feet touched the ground, the shock force spread across the area.
Now, the hammer looked small in his hands. The middle-aged man grew confident; he had killed many people with this technique before.
No one had ever been able to withstand the brunt of this attack.
On the other hand, seeing his transformation, I was not surprised. I figured that he must be using one of the core inheritances.
I stored the white bone staff inside my storage ring. Next, I began to circulate my bloodline power alongside lightning, blood, and shock force power.
Four types of inheritance power surged through my body. The energy traveled easily to both my arms and legs.
Boom!
Seeing the middle-aged man advancing with his massive body, I raised my hand. My index finger pointed directly at him.
The middle-aged man saw this action, but he ignored it.
"Condensed Finger."
I executed the newly improved finger move, but this time, I infused all four types of inheritance power into the strike.
A multicolored orb appeared at the tip of my index finger, dense and vibrant in hue.
Boom!
The next second, I fired the finger beam at the middle-aged man. The multicolored beam shot toward the target.
Swoosh!
Everyone witnessed the lightning-fast attack. In a flash, it reached the middle-aged man. He tried to counter the blast with his golden hammer.
Boom!
Both attacks collided. The multicolored orb burst with massive energy, easily blasting the hammer away.
The hammer flew backward before crashing into the ground. All of this happened within seconds.
The remaining energy surged forward and struck the middle-aged man’s massive frame.
Boom!
Upon contact, a deafening noise erupted. The power shattered the golden layer protecting his body.
It then struck his chest, flinging him backward.
At the same time, the bloodline and shock force powers broke through his skin’s defenses. The other two powers reached his internal organs and began ravaging them.
Boom!
The middle-aged man slammed into the ground with a heavy thud.
Multicolored lightning coursed across his body like a spiderweb, electrocuting him and aggravating his chest wound.
Pfff!
He looked down to see his chest torn open, a massive, gaping gash with blood gushing out like streams of water.
A pool of blood quickly gathered around him. It had all unfolded in mere seconds. He could not get up; immense agony radiated from his internal organs.
He could not comprehend the attack he had just suffered. How could the young warrior unleash such devastation?
He realized that the multicolored beam was not composed of lightning power alone; it contained other elements as well. He could feel the multiple forces destroying his insides.
He weakly raised his head and looked at the young man, his eyes flashing with terror.
He saw the youth approaching him. His hammer had landed a few meters away, but he lacked the strength to get up and reach it.
Meanwhile, I closed in on the middle-aged man. I saw his left hand feebly reaching toward his hammer.
Seeing that, the corners of my mouth curled upward. He had been boasting about his Giant Tower Inheritance earlier; now, he lay sprawled flat on the ground.
Swoosh!
I appeared before him in a flash. I raised my hand and aimed my index finger directly at the open wound on his chest.
The middle-aged man stared at me, his face pale with horror. He did not want to die. He had previously assumed he could kill the youth with ease.
Now, he was reduced to begging for his life.
"You were acting arrogant toward lightning warriors earlier," I said to him.
Hearing those words, the remaining color drained from his face. Deep regret washed over him.
"Condensed Finger."
I executed the technique once more. A multicolored orb condensed at the tip of my index finger, and I fired directly into his chest.
Boom!
In a flash, the multicolored beam struck his chest once again.
A deafening blast echoed, violently hurling his body backward. This time, his internal organs were charred to ash.
His eyes glazed over. His massive frame tumbled backward and crashed to the ground, lifeless.
The combined inheritance powers had obliterated his heart.
Once the dust settled, the residual shockwaves dissipated. He was the fifth opponent, and now he was dead.
It was time to face the sixth. I scanned the area before spotting a room at the far end, and I began walking toward it.
According to the sequence, the next challenger would be a foreign creature. Upon reaching the threshold, I opened the door and entered the chamber.
Unlike the previous rooms, this one was somewhat small. An abrupt sense of unease washed over me. My gaze swept across the chamber, eventually settling on the door at the opposite end.
The foreign creature had yet to emerge. It was bound to be another elite, though I had no idea how strong it would be.
I moved to the center of the room and waited.
"Are you going to continue or not?" the ancient spirit asked.
"No, this will be the final battle. There’s no need to alarm the others," I replied.
"The others might already be alarmed," the ancient spirit remarked.
Hearing that, I did not reply. Instead, I fixed my focus on the black door, sensing that this upcoming battle would be severe.
I circulated the four inheritances through my body. The ancient spirit took notice.
"You are ignoring the sealing force again," the ancient spirit warned.
Taking the reminder to heart, I added the sealing force into the circulation.
