Ancient Tears BloodLine
Chapter 1675: Fighting a Giant Tower Veteran
United City (Main Post)
I saw the Giant Tower University Warrior. He was a middle-aged man with many bruises on his body.
The middle-aged man came in front of me and looked at my face. His gaze deepened.
"I sense nasty lightning power from you," the middle-aged man said.
Hearing that, my eyes flickered. I didn’t expect the middle-aged man to be this perceptive.
"Who are you?" the middle-aged man asked.
He was eight feet tall. The bruises on his body told a story of having fought many battles.
I didn’t respond to his question. Instead, I circulated the two types of inheritance power right away.
Boom!
The middle-aged man once again sensed the surge of nasty power in the young human warrior. He absolutely hated lightning warriors.
Swoosh!
The next second, he charged at the young warrior without saying anything further.
"Looks like you found a university rival here," the ancient spirit said.
Hearing that, my mouth twitched. The ancient spirit was disturbing me during battle again.
I had thought the middle-aged man would use his fists, but he pulled a huge hammer out of nowhere to attack me.
Boom!
The huge hammer was covered in golden power.
My perception power tracked its trajectory. It had become a lot stronger after the breakthrough.
Swoosh!
Next, I used a movement method to evade the attack. In a flash, I sidestepped from the spot.
Boom!
The huge hammer landed on the floor, creating a massive explosion upon contact. The impact force hit me hard.
The force pushed me backward. I used the opportunity to create more distance.
The middle-aged man was shocked. He didn’t expect the young man to evade. He then swung the hammer sideways.
Swoosh!
The huge hammer shot out golden energy.
"Lightning Wheel!"
I executed the powerful lightning move. A dense purple lightning wheel formed around me the next moment.
Boom!
The golden lightning power collided with the dense purple lightning, and a powerful explosion occurred.
The shockwave spread in all directions. The impact force further pushed me backward.
On the other hand, the middle-aged man was also struck by the force and took a few steps back.
Yet, he remained unscathed. He gripped the hammer tightly and raised it upward, looking at the young man in surprise.
The nasty lightning power had blocked his attack once again. The middle-aged man looked at his hammer and then at the young man.
His heart boiled with anger. He didn’t want to lose to a young lightning warrior. The middle-aged man began to swing the hammer hard.
Boom!
The hammer generated a huge powerful force. If it were to land on a human warrior’s body, it would shred them to pieces.
Meanwhile, I prepared to use another Lightning Wheel. It was my only defensive move of that caliber.
However, it consumed a lot of inheritance energy. In the end, I decided to draw my weapon. The decision was made in a split second.
Swoosh!
I pulled out the white bone staff and enveloped it in lightning power before the golden rush of energy could reach me.
Boom!
I executed a reverse strike. In a flash, the white bone staff struck the golden energy.
The two types of inheritance forces clashed, trying to cancel each other out.
Boom!
A powerful blast erupted, and the shockwave rippled outward once more. I couldn’t believe how massive the golden power was.
"Lightning Phantom Technique!"
For the first time, I used the lightning movement technique. Both of my legs crackled with lightning bolts.
Swoosh!
In a flash, I darted backward. I noticed that the anger on the middle-aged man’s face had intensified.
He seemed to hate lightning warriors to the core. If he knew I was from Star University, I wondered what he would do next.
"Where are you from?" the middle-aged man demanded.
He used his large hammer to deflect the residual shockwave; as a result, it didn’t even graze him.
The two of us then locked eyes in a tense standoff.
"It appears you aren’t going to talk. If I’m not mistaken, the only wretched place that trains lightning warriors is Star University," the middle-aged man sneered.
Hearing that, a bright smile spread across my face.
I hadn’t expected him to figure it out so quickly.
"Your smile gives it away. Now, I won’t let you die easily," the middle-aged man said with a wide grin.
Boom!
He swung the huge hammer once more. Golden power surged forth from his body.
Danger!
A sense of impending crisis seized my heart. This time, the golden energy seemed even stronger.
"He seems to be using an advanced technique. Be careful," the ancient spirit warned.
"Understood," I replied.
The middle-aged man grinned and began whirling the hammer.
To be safe, I coated the white bone staff with both shock force and lightning force.
Two distinct inheritance forces reinforced the staff.
Boom!
The middle-aged man suddenly hurled the massive hammer. It hurtled straight toward me.
There appeared to be plenty of distance between us, but my instincts flared with alarm, the hammer was traveling far faster than he was.
Boom!
I immediately swung the staff in a reverse parry. Once again, the bone staff collided with the warhammer.
Boom!
The collision triggered another violent blast. This time, I could feel the staff vibrating intensely as it held its ground against the hammer.
Holding my footing, I braced as the shockwave washed over me.
Simultaneously, the shock force and purple lightning began eroding the golden energy.
I pushed forward, attempting to overpower the hammer. The dense golden glow cloaking the weapon began to recede.
Boom!
Channelling a surge of blood energy into the white bone staff, its power spiked instantly. It shattered the remaining golden aura and deflected the hammer away.
The large hammer rocketed backward, flying straight toward the middle-aged man. He stared, utterly dumbfounded.
Boom!
As he scrambled to catch it, the rebound struck his hands with brutal force, knocking him several paces back. The middle aged man’s face was written with terror.
