Ancient Tears BloodLine
Chapter 1674: An Easy Crush
United City (Main Post)
Inside the night cell tower, I faced off against the triple-horned creature.
Swoosh!
The triple-horned foreign creature was 10 feet tall and had three sharp horns atop its head.
The elite creature didn’t attack me right away; it continued to observe me.
"Interesting. I’m sensing multiple powers from you," the creature said.
Hearing that gave me goosebumps all over my body.
"It’s a troublesome creature. Be careful," the ancient spirit said.
"I will," I replied.
The special energy continued to finish stabilizing the new strength little by little.
The humanoid creature sneered, revealing fang-like, black teeth. It was spine-chilling.
I tried not to pay attention to the visual terror.
"You are stabilizing your new strength. Take your time," the creature said with a smile.
Hearing that sent a severe chill down my spine.
I calmed my heart and continued to focus on stabilizing my strength.
A few minutes later...
The strength was completely stabilized. My current aura was no longer purple; the aura surrounding my body had turned crimson.
Not only that, but the dantian had more space now.
The dark-purple lightning force inheritance power had gained a crimson border. The dark lightning sprout had strengthened.
I circulated the lightning power throughout my body. The dark-purple lightning inheritance force with the crimson border followed the route.
I could feel the tempering of the pathways. In a flash, I covered both of my hands with the dark-purple lightning power.
The newly developed concept of lightning power had gained even more strength. I controlled the lightning bolts, shaping them into a stronger layer to coat my skin.
"Are you ready now?" the creature asked.
Hearing that, my gaze fell onto my right hand. It was completely healed now.
"Yes, I’m ready to fight. But I hope you can endure my punches," I said to the creature.
"It’s been a long time since I killed a human genius." The creature cracked a wide grin.
Swoosh!
A second later, the creature bolted forward, closing the vast distance in an instant.
When the creature appeared before me, it raised a fist to strike. It was a punch of pure brute force.
It didn’t use any origin power.
Boom!
I drove my right fist forward to meet the blow. In a flash, both attacks collided.
Upon contact, the power surged forth. The mighty lightning energy struck the foreign creature’s massive hand.
Boom!
The creature’s crooked smile vanished. Feeling the immense impact force, it was blasted backward from the spot.
Boom!
The creature rocketed backward before crashing into the ground. Lightning wrapped around its body like a spider’s web.
This time, I could spot the crimson tint within the bolts. Paralyzed, the creature attempted to summon its origin power to withstand the assault.
It coated its internal organs with dark origin power to protect them from the surging lightning.
Meanwhile, my perception remained active, locked onto the grounded creature. The outer layer of its skin was scorching.
Yet, I saw no bleeding. My vision was crystal clear, catching every detail.
Noticing that the humanoid creature didn’t show any expression of pain, I realized it was somehow withstanding the blow.
Next, I began circulating both the shock force and the lightning force. The two energies blended together effortlessly.
Wasting no time, I enveloped my hands in both powers.
"Lightning Drop."
I unleashed the attack. In a flash, lightning burst from my hands.
Boom!
A surging sphere of lightning shot forward, crackling with arcs of electricity.
The triple-horned humanoid creature had underestimated the assault. As it tried to stand, its dark origin power surged forth.
In the blink of an eye, the attack struck its mark, detonating directly against the grounded creature.
Boom!
An explosion erupted, spiderwebs of raw power blanketing its body.
Boom!
The attack tore straight through the creature’s defenses, ripping its flesh wide open. The twin surges of energy flooded into the gaping wounds.
This time, the attack slammed directly into its dark origin power.
Boom!
A fierce clash erupted between the opposing forces.
"Aaaaahhhh!"
The horned humanoid shrieked, desperately trying to suppress the invading elemental energy.
It never expected the human warrior’s lightning power to be so overwhelming. The strike aggressively overwhelmed its dark origin power.
The shockwave rippled violently across the entire room.
Seeing the creature writhe in agony, I knew the attack was working.
Boom!
I unleashed the lightning barrage over and over again.
Boom!
Strike after strike landed with devastating force upon the triple-horned beast. It had sorely underestimated its human opponent, deploying its dark origin power far too late.
Now, its innards were practically being roasted alive. The creature could feel its life force slipping away.
It recalled how, just minutes ago, it had graciously allowed the human warrior time to stabilize his power. It never should have done that.
It should have struck down the human warrior immediately.
In the end, the triple-horned creature collapsed, dead.
I confirmed the kill, even asking the ancient spirit to verify it. The beast was definitely gone.
I breathed a sigh of relief. Two more to go, and then I could leave this place. Walking past the beast’s corpse, I made my way toward the exit.
I headed for the door the creature had emerged from; the next trial had to be waiting in the adjacent chamber. I still couldn’t comprehend what kind of treasure this night cell tower held.
The thought made my head spin. Approaching the threshold, I refused to let my guard down. I stepped inside and immediately spread my mental senses across the room.
There was no sign of any human or creature. Instead, the sound of a door unlatching echoed across the space. This time, the challenger was human.
I darted forward, appearing at the center of the chamber in an instant. Through the doorway strode a heavily built warrior.
The towering warrior was enveloped in radiant golden energy.
At the sight of him, my eyes narrowed. Old memories resurfaced-judging by that power, he likely hailed from Giant Tower University.
