Ancient Tears BloodLine
Chapter 1673: Triple Horned Humanoid
United City (Main Post)
In the administration office, the old man saw the result. The red signal went dark. It meant the third opponent was dead.
Now Zack Lockwood was going to face the fourth opponent. The old man was taken aback. He knew that warriors were given the option to leave voluntarily.
He didn’t know whether the young man knew about it or not. He then checked the settings on the control panel.
He noticed the changes.
"Someone set a three-tier system," the old man muttered to himself.
It meant the option was given only once every three challenges. He thought someone had changed it earlier.
It must have been done by one of the battle-hungry veteran warriors. The old man’s heart skipped a beat. It was his job to check the console.
It was an oversight on his part.
"Fortunately, the young man is strong. If something happened to him, I would be held responsible as well," the old man thought.
He assumed the young man would leave right now. The administrative staff came in and saw the result for themselves.
They assumed that Zack Lockwood had been given the option to leave, but had chosen to fight on.
They didn’t know that it was a blunder by the old man.
The old man stared at the console, watching the green signal. He waited to see whether Zack Lockwood would exit.
Then, the red signal suddenly lit up again.
"Fuck," he blurted out.
He couldn’t believe the young man had agreed to the next battle. If he didn’t leave right now, he would only get the next exit option after the sixth battle.
He didn’t know what to say to the others. He worried they might misunderstand the situation.
...
Night Cell Tower
The warriors gathered outside the Night Cell Tower continued to stare at the display.
They saw the updates as well. Zack Lockwood had defeated his opponent, and now he was going to face the fourth enemy.
The red signal for the fourth enemy had been activated.
Gasp!
A collective gasp rippled through the crowd.
Blake, Kate, and their friends were dumbfounded. They had been here from the beginning. They thought Zack Lockwood would leave after the second battle.
Instead, he had fought the third enemy, defeated him, and now the display showed he was about to face the fourth.
"What’s going on?"
"Is it a Tier-2 or Tier-3 setup?" Kate asked.
Hearing that, their friends came to a realization. They knew the voluntary exit intervals could be adjusted.
Blake thought about it as well.
"It doesn’t matter whether it’s Tier-2 or Tier-3. The young man has chosen to fight," Blake said.
"He must be facing an elite foreign creature right now," one of the friends remarked.
Hearing that, they understood the gravity of the situation. The young man was defying all expectations.
Blake furrowed his brows. He didn’t want to stay here any longer; the shocks were coming one after another, leading to endless comparisons.
To preserve his mood, he decided to leave. Saying nothing, he turned and walked away from the crowd.
His sudden departure shocked his teammates.
"Blake, what happened?" Kate asked.
The other friends were confused as well, but they followed him. Blake told them he wanted to rest, as the battle in the secret realm could break out at any moment.
Kate and the others believed him and suspected nothing. They had been standing outside the tower for quite a while anyway; it was enough.
They could always meet Zack Lockwood later.
Meanwhile, several other warriors left as well- namely those who had come to mock Zack Lockwood, only to have their faces slapped a second later.
They no longer wished to stay and slipped away. However, warriors from Star University and Red Moon University decided to stay and watch.

Council Hall
When Council Elder Freya received the news, she raised her eyebrows. She had assumed Zack Lockwood would leave after the third round.
She had not expected him to continue. For a second, she even questioned the challenge format.
She immediately contacted the administration to inquire about the details, prompting the staff to check with the old man.
Freya knew one of the council elders was stationed at the office.
When the reply came, explaining it was set to the Tier-3 system, she understood what had happened.
Now, Zack Lockwood had chosen to face a fourth opponent.
She knew humans and foreign creatures alternated in sequence, which meant his next opponent was bound to be a foreign creature. She suspected Zack Lockwood was trying to push his limits.
"The young man might want to temper his other Inheritance powers. The night cell challenge is ideal for that," she muttered to herself.
The other council elders received the same report, and many were equally surprised.
Harboring the same doubts, they reached out to the administrative office and discovered that the council elder overseeing the tower had failed to reset the challenge to Tier-2 after someone had switched it to Tier-3.
Knowing the young man was currently facing the fourth opponent, they were genuinely impressed. They felt relieved that they had sent him to fight in the special secret realm battlefield.
Had he entered the main battlefield alongside the others, he would have caused an even greater disturbance, potentially repeating the chaos from the sub-post. Fortunately, that outcome had been averted.

Night Cell Tower
My new Red Mark Level strength was stabilizing, a process that would finish in a few minutes. More and more special energy continued to flood into my body.
I paid it no mind, having already instructed the ancient spirit to alert me if anything went wrong.
At that moment, my eyes were fixed on the elite foreign creature before me. It was no ordinary elite, but a three-horned humanoid.
I hadn’t expected to encounter a three-horned humanoid here. It had to be significantly more powerful than the humanoid creature I fought back at the sub-post. It’s not going to be an easy battle.
