United City (Main Post)

Inside the night cell tower, the blonde-haired woman made her decision. She did not want to give the young man another chance. Even if he hid a terrifying power, she had to take him down.

If the young man didn’t die, she would. She decided to kill him before the hidden energy burst forth from his body.

Boom!

A powerful surge of energy burst forth from her feet. Both her hands and legs were covered in green and golden lightning. She leaped forward to strike.

Swoosh!

I focused my attention on the rune in my mind. The dark purple lightning bolt within my consciousness had grown stronger. It was only a matter of seconds before the purple rune broke the limit.

Then the blonde-haired woman arrived before me in a flash. I raised my right hand instinctively to block.

Boom!

The blonde-haired woman’s fierce strike landed on my arm. The green and golden lightning surged forth once more. My gaze locked onto the two types of lightning power.

I watched as both energies clashed against my blood-red bone. My blood was filled with immense energy, striving to withstand the onslaught.

Right then, I drew inspiration from the two opposing currents of lightning.

Boom!

The dark purple lightning rune in my mind broke through its limits. In the next moment, the dark bolt underwent a transformation, gaining a crimson streak of light around its edges.

At the same time, new knowledge flooded my mind, information regarding the Red Mark Chapter of the Purple Lightning Method. But I had no time to ponder it.

"Red Mark Warrior."

I shattered the threshold. In that exact instant, her punch struck my body. I rocketed backward before crashing hard into the ground.

I didn’t care about the pain. Instead, I remained focused on the changes occurring within me. The emergence of the Red Mark transform the flow of the inheritance force throughout my body.

The dark purple inheritance in my dantian developed a red border. Simultaneously, the transformation rippled through the rest of my frame.

My internal organs grew stronger. The bleeding from my right hand ceased entirely as the newly unlocked power healed my wounds.

"You are a madman!" the blonde-haired woman shouted.

She could not believe the young man had used this battle as an opportunity to break through. She saw his body enveloped in a crimson aura, the unmistakable sign of a Red Mark Warrior.

He had treated her as mere target practice, and he had succeeded.

Meanwhile, the ancient spirit was equally dumbfounded. It could hardly believe the young man had pulled off such a feat, realizing that Zack Lockwood must have found inspiration mid-fight.

The blonde-haired woman stood frozen, unsure of what to do. An unfamiliar dread crept over her, and she knew what it signaled, if she failed to act immediately, she would be slain.

At the same time, I felt the dark lightning sprout inside me growing stronger, benefiting directly from the breakthrough.

Special energy continued to flood into my body, stabilizing my new realm. But with the blonde-haired woman still standing, the process remained at risk. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

I held nothing back. I raised my injured right arm, only now, the blood was gone, replaced by newly formed tissue.

The bleeding had stopped moments ago. I cloaked my right fist in four distinct powers: dark purple lightning, blood energy, shock force, and bloodline force.

Four different inheritance forces gathered in my right fist.

Swoosh!

Losing her composure, the blonde-haired woman charged at me. She knew the climax had arrived; every instinct screamed of impending doom.

I bolted forward as well, bathed in the crimson radiance of the Red Mark Aura. A surge of confidence filled me.

Boom!

In an instant, our paths collided. I drove my fist directly into her strike.

She caught sight of my fully healed hand, unable to comprehend the multi-layered inheritance force enveloping it.

It looked nothing like the simple purple lightning from before.

Boom!

The impact triggered a violent explosion, obliterating the woman’s right arm entirely.

It happened in the blink of an eye. Terror gripped her as she realized her arm was gone.

Boom!

Without pausing, I flashed before her and drove my fist into her chest.

Boom!

The blow landed true. The raw inheritance power tore through her, sending her flying backward.

Her body crashed into the ground. By then, the destructive force had already infiltrated her core, destroying her internal organs.

She knew death was upon her. Unable to fathom the devastating power tearing through her flesh, she assumed it was an ancient secret hidden deep within the youth.

"To think he possessed such strength..." was her final thought before her life slipped away.

Moments after hitting the floor, she breathed her last. The residual shockwave rippled through the chamber, leaving her mangled remains behind.

Bones and organs lay exposed where her chest had caved in, a gruesome sight.

I paid no heed to the corpse. Instead, I focused entirely on circulating the influx of special energy, which carried a much higher concentration of special energy.

This energy far exceeded that of the Half-Step Red Mark Level, and its presence made all the difference.

I continued circulating the energy to solidify my newly gained strength.

[Zack Lockwood has slain the third opponent. Do you wish to exit? State YES / NO.]

A mechanical voice echoed through the space. Hearing it, my eyes flashed with realization; I had assumed this choice would only appear after the second opponent.

It seemed the rules had changed. Still, I was in no condition for another duel; I needed time to consolidate my gains.

[If you do not respond, your answer will default to YES. You will proceed to face the fourth opponent. After the sixth opponent, another chance to depart will be granted.]

Hearing this clarification left me stunned. It seemed I had no choice but to face the challenge.

I glanced across the chamber and spotted another doorway in the distance. If my suspicions were correct, the next adversary would be a foreign creature.

A cold glint flashed in my eyes.
