United City (Main Post)

Creak!

I kept staring at the door. The sound of a door opening was heard, and a slight gap could be seen. My gaze fixed on the gap. I saw a bug-type foreign creature come out of the room.

Swoosh!

It appeared in the middle of the room in a flash.

The creature was three meters tall and pitch black in color. I heard the sound of flapping wings. At first, there was no aura coming from the creature.

The wings were sharp like blades, giving off an eerie and cold feeling. Looking at the blade-like wings, it was clear that they could easily tear through flesh.

This feeling made the creature all the more dangerous. I circulated the five types of inheritance force in my body.

"It’s a new one for me. I haven’t seen this creature before," the ancient spirit replied.

Hearing that, my eyes gleamed. Even the ancient spirit was unaware of the creature, so it was certainly extremely dangerous.

I kept circulating the multiple inheritance forces in my body. I could feel the cold gaze of the creature upon me.

The creature had compound eyes that seemed to stare right through me. I had a feeling that it could attack at any second.

The creature was almost twice my size. It was the first time I had ever seen such a foreign creature.

Boom!

In a flash, the bug-type foreign creature appeared before me. My gaze never left it for an instant.

Swoosh!

My sense of danger peaked. Just as the blade was about to strike my body, I executed the technique.

"Lightning Wheel."

A multicolored lightning wheel appeared around me, radiating raw power.

Boom!

Right then, the blade wings of the bug creature came into contact with the lightning wheel.

Boom!

Upon contact, a powerful explosion occurred. The multi-layered inheritance power struck the bug-type foreign creature.

Boom!

Like spiderwebs, the multi-inheritance power covered the creature’s entire body in the blink of an eye.

Right then, the sealing inheritance power took effect and immobilized the creature, freezing it in midair.

The sealing force, like the others, had improved during the half-step Red Mark breakthrough.

Now, I was witnessing the full strength of the sealing force.

Boom!

Right then, the Red Mark-level inheritance force broke through the creature’s defenses.

Then, the rest of the dark lightning power, blood energy, bloodline water force, and shock force ruptured the creature’s internals.

Not only that, but I could see the mysterious power of the sealing force draining the creature’s vitality.

The creature regained its mobility a minute later. An instant after, black smoke began to pour from its body.

Thud!

The bug-type creature fell to the ground with a heavy thud, sending shockwaves across the room.

Visible shock appeared on my face; almost half of the vitality in the creature’s body was gone.

Now, I truly understood the power of the sealing force. Had I known this earlier, I would have used it against the foreign creatures and criminals before.

Collecting my thoughts, I used a finger beam to end the creature’s life. It died instantly.

[Zack Lockwood has defeated the 6th opponent. Do you want to leave right now? Say YES/NO]

"Yes," I replied immediately.

The next moment, I withdrew the circulating inheritance force back into my dantian.

Buzz!

My surroundings shifted instantly, and I returned to the first room.

A flicker of interest appeared in my eyes. I didn’t know what kind of artifact this tower was. Turning around, I walked up to the door.

I exited the Night Cell Tower and emerged outside, my gaze sweeping across the area.

Gasp!

A collective gasp rang out. The warriors gathered outside saw the update on the display, showing that Zack Lockwood had defeated the sixth opponent.

It was the first time in history someone had set such a record on their first attempt. Everyone looked at the young man in disbelief.

The warriors here were Red Mark Warriors. Most had already left, including Blake, Kate, and the others.

Those remaining had stayed out of curiosity, and that curiosity was now more than satisfied.

They saw the young man named Zack Lockwood shrouded in a dense crimson aura, the unmistakable sign of a Red Mark Warrior. It was proof that he had achieved a breakthrough.

It explained how he had defeated six opponents in a row, yet the record was astonishing even by Red Mark standards.

I observed their reactions and took note of them; they were completely dumbfounded, which was only to be expected.

I made my way toward the exit. The crowd parted to let me pass as I walked out of the training hall.

Stepping outside, I scanned the street. Cabs were passing by, and I kept an eye out for an available one.

Swoosh!

One pulled up, stopped right in front of me, and landed on the ground. The driver noticed my crimson aura as well, wondering why a warrior was letting such power flare openly.

Creak!

I opened the door, got into the back seat, and sat down. The driver then started the cab.

Swoosh!

The cab lifted off, hovered in midair, and set off toward my destination.

In the back seat, I reined in my strength to suppress the crimson aura. Seeing the driver’s bewildered expression, I knew he was unsettled.

Twenty minutes later, the cab arrived at my residence. Once it touched down, I stepped out and paid the fare.

I headed inside, reached my room, and shut the door behind me. I decided to take a bath first.

The bath lasted twenty minutes.

Afterward, I changed into casual clothes. My gaze fell on my device, but I decided to leave it alone for now. I then climbed into bed and went to sleep.

Meanwhile, the news from the Night Cell Tower shook the entire main post.

Those who had left early were now kicking themselves with regret; no one had expected Zack Lockwood to become a Red Mark Warrior so quickly.
