Chapter 415: Chapter 213: The Real Omen Bird, Divine Blood Obtained
The Thunder Elemental Half-Plane.
Pei Ze sat on a piece of scorched black rock, a smile flashing in his eyes as he looked at the Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores arranged before him.
"Thirty-five in total."
With Tining’s help, the hunt in the Thunder Elemental Half-Plane had been exceptionally smooth.
In just seven days, they had obtained thirty-five Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores.
If it were just him, he could kill three Thunder Elemental Giant Spirits a day at most.
’At this rate, I should be able to gather enough in about another forty days.’
Pei Ze nodded to himself.
But what made him even happier was that the analysis of the Stone Monument Fragment’s pattern was about to be completed.
It was only short the last 5 units of elemental origin.
Pei Ze consumed the elemental origin without hesitation, instantly completing the analysis.
In the next second, a massive amount of information abruptly flooded into Pei Ze’s mind.
Deep within his Sea of Consciousness, it was as if a thunderstorm had erupted. Countless thick serpents of lightning intertwined and flashed, rumbling and roaring.
At the same time, centered on Pei Ze, countless streams of Thunder Elemental Energy converged like a tidal wave, scrambling to surge into his body.
The Elemental Fire deep in his Sea of Consciousness was like a pan of hot oil being doused with water; with a SIZZLE, it suddenly flared to life.
Tining, who had been watching the storm clouds in the sky from a short distance away, was startled. She quickly walked closer, only to be blocked by the surging tide of Thunder Elemental Energy.
She observed carefully for a moment and found that Pei Ze was fine; he just seemed to be in a state of explosive power growth. Only then did she let out a sigh of relief.
But this was followed by deep confusion.
’Everything was normal just a moment ago. How did his power suddenly surge like this?’
The Half Deer Maiden couldn’t figure it out no matter how she thought about it.
Fortunately, the place where they were resting was in the outer regions, so there was no need to worry about attracting Elemental Giant Spirits.
As for the Thunder Elemental Spirits drawn over by the tide of Thunder Elemental Energy, Tining could deal with them easily.
A full half-hour passed before the strange phenomenon around Pei Ze gradually disappeared.
Pei Ze opened his eyes and let out a long breath, his gaze filled with joy.
[Elementification (Thunder): 13.56%]
[Elemental Origin: 13.56]
The insights from analyzing the Stone Monument Fragment had directly caused his elementification progress to skyrocket by more than six percentage points!
Feeling the potent energy radiating from his Elemental Fire, Pei Ze’s heart surged with emotion.
He looked down at the Stone Monument Fragment in his hand.
The pattern on it was the same, but it no longer gave him that feeling of immersion.
The Stone Monument Fragment was no longer of much use to him now.
’Still, this thing is an incredibly precious treasure to other Thunder Element Mages. If I entrust it to the Travelers’ Association, I should be able to sell it for a good price.’
Pei Ze’s eyes lit up slightly.
The Stone Monument Fragment had a ’clean origin,’ so there was no need to worry about selling it.
The key was that this thing was worth far more than the improved formula for a Thunder Element Affinity Potion. Selling it for seven or eight hundred thousand Magic Crystal Stones would be no problem at all—one should never underestimate the temptation of increased power for an Elemental Mage!
"Pei Ze..."
Just as he was feeling excited, Tining’s voice suddenly sounded in his ear.
Pei Ze looked up to see Tining staring at him with a strange expression.
"What... was that just now?"
Pei Ze cleared his throat and said, "It was nothing. I just had a sudden insight, so my power improved a bit."
Tining looked as if she only half-understood.
This was the Thunder Elemental Half-Plane. It seemed plausible that a Thunder Element Mage like Pei Ze would have some insights after spending a long time here.
But that was just Tining. Any other Elemental Mage here would have spat in Pei Ze’s face.
’Gaining insights just by staying in an Elemental Plane for a long time?’
’If things were that good, the various Elemental Planes would have been packed with Elemental Mages long ago.’
Pei Ze didn’t explain further and stood up.
"Let’s continue the hunt."
"Mhm." Tining nodded emphatically.
...
After his power surge, the hunt for Thunder Elemental Giant Spirits went even more smoothly.
One month later, Pei Ze left the Thunder Elemental Half-Plane with two hundred twenty-three Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores.
Adding the two Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores previously gifted by Tao Ping, he had now gathered all the Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores needed for Silverstar’s evolution.
’Now all that’s left are the other supplementary materials.’
Back at the mansion, just as Pei Ze walked out of the underground hall, a black shadow shot toward him.
"CAW!"
In an instant, Wuyu went from extreme motion to extreme stillness, landing on Pei Ze’s shoulder.
Pei Ze smiled faintly. Just as he was about to reach out and stroke Wuyu, he suddenly noticed something amiss and his expression shifted slightly.
’It evolved?!’
Pei Ze quickly focused his senses to check, and just as he expected, he could clearly sense through his Magic Pet Contract that Wuyu had completed its evolution.
Having broken through to the fourth level, Wuyu didn’t look much different on the outside. Its eyes, however, had grown deeper. The inky-black pupils were like a bottomless, dark pool. Staring at them for too long gave one the illusion that their very soul was being sucked in.
But only Pei Ze could clearly feel the immense power now condensed within Wuyu’s body.
It was a power formed from a mixture of many different rule-based attributes, yet they were all flawlessly integrated.
The Power of Death, the Power of Shadow, wind element, earth element, the Power of Sound Waves... there were no less than ten such powers in all.
Without exception, these were all abilities gained from the corvid-type Magical Creatures that Wuyu had devoured in the past.
Of course, the primary one was the Power of Death, which accounted for over ninety percent.
Given the density of this Power of Death, any creature below the third level would likely have its life force corroded and die instantly from the slightest touch.
Only now was Wuyu truly worthy of the name Omen Bird!
"Well done, little guy." Pei Ze stroked Wuyu’s cool head, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly.
He now had another Fourth-level Combat Power by his side.
