Chapter 414: Chapter 212: She’s Very Beautiful, and Has a Great Figure Too

Yin Xue’s expression was thoughtful.

She knew what her father said was right.

The struggle between the Bloodline and Elemental Factions was something every Wizard City was either currently experiencing or had experienced in the past.

Any Wizard City where one side gained an absolute advantage had inevitably gone through a period of vicious, bloody infighting, leaving it severely weakened.

But even so, it was something that had to be done.

Without a clear victor, a Wizard City would be mired in long-term factional strife, its progress halting to a standstill before it eventually began to decline.

Only by ruthlessly centralizing power could a city be reborn and usher in an era of greater development.

A moment of pain was not to be feared. What was truly terrifying was endless stagnation and decline.

In fact, Chenxi City was quite fortunate. Supported by the profits from the Turin Plane, it wouldn’t need several hundred years to recover from the upheaval, unlike other Wizard Cities.

If all went well, Chenxi City could return to its former prosperity within thirty to forty years.

"Councillor Pan... Where did Pan Mo escape to?"

Yin Yongqin raised an eyebrow, giving an answer that startled Yin Xue.

"Bator Hell."

Yin Xue was stunned, but on second thought, it seemed to make sense.

There were countless planes in the Multiverse, but few had factions powerful enough to make an entire Wizard City wary.

Among those, the choices were even slimmer for a place that allowed Wizards to enter, yet wouldn’t cooperate with Chenxi City to capture Pan Mo.

Bator Hell and the Bottomless Abyss both clearly fit the bill.

These two major planes welcomed any and all civilized races.

Furthermore, the planes were so vast that catching Pan Mo and his followers would be no easy task.

As for cooperating with demons or devils... anyone with an ounce of sense wouldn’t choose that path.

"The Council has already sent people to the Hell Plane to hunt down Pan Mo, but the chances of catching that cunning old fox are slim."

Yin Yongqin shook his head, then abruptly changed the subject.

"I hear Pei Ze is preparing to build a Wizard Tower?"

"Yes. How did you know, Father?"

"The Travelers’ Association is planning a small auction for Mid-to-High Tier Alchemists. The main item is a modified Thunder-Element Affinity Potion formula. I’ve heard its effects are outstanding; it should have no problem selling for three or four hundred thousand Magic Crystal Stones."

Yin Xue understood immediately, her eyes widening in astonishment.

"That potion formula is Pei Ze’s?"

Yin Yongqin nodded, a wistful look on his face. "A Tier Five Alchemist in his twenties who can also improve upon a Tier Five Potion formula... That’s far rarer than an Elemental Mage of the same age."

One’s power level can soar thanks to their bloodline, which is how the "Chosen" came to exist.

But concocting potions isn’t something you can master overnight just by relying on your bloodline.

In this field, talent is more important than resources!

Yin Xue was in a daze. She never imagined Pei Ze’s skill in alchemy had reached such a high level!

She herself was only a Tier Three Alchemist, and the path to becoming a Tier Four Alchemist was still long and distant.

"Speaking of which, our family still hasn’t sent a gift to congratulate Pei Ze on becoming an Elemental Mage."

Yin Yongqin mulled it over for a moment before suddenly tossing a box to Yin Xue.

"There are three Elemental Source Crystals inside. Consider them a congratulatory gift for Pei Ze."

Surprise flickered across Yin Xue’s face.

Elemental Source Crystals were the key material for building an Element Pool. A single one was worth a hundred thousand Magic Crystal Stones.

A single Elemental Source Crystal was enough to build a basic Element Pool.

For Yin Yongqin to give away three at once was an incredibly grand gesture.

Seeing the surprise on Yin Xue’s face, Yin Yongqin chuckled. "Just consider it an advance on your dowry."

"Father!"

No matter how poised and cheerful Yin Xue usually was, her father’s words made her blush furiously.
